Badger glares back at Mal. I could turn you into a toad, then you'd be the shortest of all and decidedly more attractive. Besides, aren't you the expert at trap detecting and disarming?
To Silas he says: I'm not sure my familiar will be of much use for investigation. I expect the archways either contain hidden doors, or are magically activated.
Badger looks back down the hallway again as Grenk advances along the purple path. Perhaps three of us could take one path each, and a fourth try the skeleton arch, he muses. No, too much risk. Better to stick together. And with that he follows Grenk along the purple path.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Grenk follows the purple path, and eventually finds himself staring at the wall at the end of the path. It's a wall! He's found it! The long lost.... *sigh*
Badger stands just behind him, standing carefully on the purple paint on the floor.
Everyone else watches from the curtain.
Mal begins to feel a very cold patch through her pocket where she's stowed the ring. A quick glance down and she spots a bit of frost forming on the outside of her clothing.

Badger will do his best from his position behind Grenk (without stepping off the purple path) to investigate the archway. He is looking for cracks or hinges that betray the presence of a door, or any magical symbols that might activate a portal. He will use Mage Hand if touching the archway is necessary, will cast Knock if there is any locked mechanism, and if he finds nothing at all he will cast Detect Magic as a last resort.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mal dusts off her pocket annoyingly to get rid of any sign, I have got to get rid of this thing soon, it wants to be a presence in this world way too much.
Seeing the rest of the group still alive on the purple path, Mal will join them. Then she will leap frog over badger and slink past Grenk to take a look at the wall as well for anything hidden.
Perception: 24
[OOC: why do I even bother rolling, I should just accept the fact that I am going to roll as low as I can possibly roll.]
Badger and Mal closely inspect it. It's a wall. Badgers magical hand prods it. Nothing. He casts knock and.... nothing happens. Grenk taps it with the tip of his sword. Zero. Then he knocks on it with his hand. As soon as he touches it with his hand, the wall goes.....soft. Almost like it's made of mud....the surface rippling and goopy looking. He hand sank into the mud a bit when he knocked on it.
Sickle and Silas stand at the end of the hall watching, along with Zalder and Civi.
Keshma floats arrogantly down the hall after Grenk, not bothering with the path.
Grenk presses his body into the mud wall, and ...... sorta sinks through it...vanishing.
Grenk, you look around. You're in a dim quiet....library. You're standing in a small alcove, behind you is a rippling muddy wall. Soft dulcimer music fills this room, the walls of which are painted a dark blackish red color. Bookcases draped in cobwebs and dust line the walls and stand four deep in the middle of the room. Hundreds of leather·bound tomes weigh down their sagging shelves. At one end of the room, a small study contains a padded leather chair, a foot stool, and a small table - as well as three corpses dangling upside down from shackles and chains bolted to the ceiling near the north wall. A lantern-shaped device resting atop the table appears to be the source of the music. An old man lies asleep in the chair, his horn-rimmed spectacles slipping down to the end of his nose.
If he can, Grenk would push just his shield arm through the wall and make a come here motion with his fingers all while keeping his eyes on the sleeping man. He'd wait, just to the side to allow entry, ready to strike if needed, for the others to come through.
"They could have cut his arm off and merely using to bring into a trap," Silas states before copying Grenk's path to the wall, taking a breath before diving into the wall himself.

Everyone else emerges into the library. A moment later Keshma pushes through and appears. It quickly becomes overly crowded in the small alcove, and you have to move out a bit. The noise of 4 people emerging into the room is more than enough to wake the sleeping man. He glances up, sliding his glasses up his nose. "Oh....well. Hello there. Welcome to the Library of the Tomb. Though...I quite like to think of it as the Library of the Tome.....which I find humorous. You may read and study any book at your leisure, but please don't attempt to remove anything.....otherwise....." he shakes his thumb back towards the hanging corpses and makes a "yeeeesh" sorta face.
Sickle emerges through the mud followed by Zalder. A moment later Civi shows up.
Grenk rolls his eyes, "Yeah, here's the deal. We came from top side, killed everything on the way down, killed the floating baby thing, destroyed the soul sucking machine and kicked Acerack's butt so hard he had to run away to lock his wounds. Don't threaten us. Better yet, if you were looking for a moment to run and escape, there is no better time."

Badger snorts a short laugh at the old man's joke, and is about to reply a thank-you for the offer of using the library when Grenk interrupts with his threat. Grenk! That's no way to... then to the old man he says: Forgive my friend here. It's been a gruelling day. Well many days actually. Then back at Grenk the gnome hisses: Please don't kill my librarian. I might need him.
