Finally she breaks free, the spider tries to bite her but she kicks her way free and leaps out of the tree, crashing through webs and branchs, to land with a thump next to Silas. The spider decides this meal is a bust and tries to withdraw.
The group can hunt and kill spiders if you like, but it seems they're all attempting to leave you be, finding out that their delicious meals were more challenging to eat than they'd hoped.

Badger sat on the tree branch, wondering how to get down. Instead he leaped off the branch, intoning a spell to slow his fall gradually to the ground.

Once again, having escaped the battle unscathed, he thanked his lucky stars and hoped the good fortunes of his group would continue.
Sir Darak puts his sword into the sleeping spider. It screeches in pain as the blade bites into it. The creature spins, it's large bulbous body turning nimbly in the webbed jungle, green black ichor oozing from the sword woudn, it's huge powerful mandibles try to take a bite out of Sir Darak. Sir Darak, make a Con poison save.
Kasaaptu move towards Sir Darak, passing by the dog sized wolf spider, it's thick hair's bristling on it's legs as it pulls Boris away from the webbing, and reaching the edge of the webbing enough to peer in through the hazy webs that criss cross the jungle. Tiny spiders crawl around the webs, with larger ones the size of cats hunched in the webs above. She sees Sir Darak stab the creature and watches as it spins about and bites him.
Sir Darak, if you make your save, and Kasaaptu can take actions. No one else can see what's happening, but you do hear the sudden sounds of clanging and a spider's terrible shriek back in the webbed jungle.
Azaka, seemingly none the worse for wear stalks out of the webbed jungle, angrily swiping away at the webs that are everywhere and stick to everything. Sickle moves towards Boris, whose veins seem to be bluish across his face, his mouth open, his body rigid, despite his leg wound having been healed somewhat, and summons natures power, funneling it into Boris. Boris coughs and his body spasms as he becomes free from the poison. He scrambles to his feet, clutching his wounded leg and spasmically swiping at his back and body, brushing away dirt and webbing. He retches and a shiver wracks his body as he leans over, putting a hand on Gregory who helps support him. Badger floats down, breaking through several webs, dragging them with him, tiny spiders crawl over his body as he lands, and he quickly gets out of the webs, brushing the tiny spiders away and eyeing the larger ones that sit watching in the trees. The larger ones seem to move spastically around the webs every time major sections of web are disturbed, but don't descend.

Everyone receives 450 experience. Well short of level 4, but I'll hand it out now.
The group (if Sir Darak is paralyzed either Sickle fixes him, or you carry his body I presume), collects themselves and backtracks out of the spider infested jungle to a place suitable for resting. (Sir Darak, if paralyzed and not cured comes around, 1 hour later). The group eats a bit of food and stays hydrated before moving on. Azaka heads inland to try and find a way around the massive nest of spiders. Boris seems quite shaken by the spiders and is often seen swiping at his neck or face at random. Gregory stays close to him and does his best to calm him down. The afternoon progresses as the group slogs through a swampy area, often walking in muck up to your knees, which is slow going. A bit later on the rain starts and Azaka looks to the sky for a bit before decided to call a halt to get out rain catchers. The group huddles as the rain intensity increases. The rain catchers do their job, and people fold them back up after taking their fill, and Azaka calls a continued march. The rain is coming down very hard as the group comes over a rise and sees yet another tributary that you'll have to follow inland. Azaka leads the way eventually finding a place to wade across. The river water is full of bubbles from the ongoing heavy rain. Everyone is soaked through, though Sir Darak has taken to enjoying the rain since it cools the air down, even if it makes a metallic plinking noise as it rains across his armor.
You're part way back down the tributary when Azaka calls a sudden halt. Because of the terrain, she's up a small rise and comes back down shortly. "There are a few lizard folk ahead. They can be troublesome, but we're a large group. I think if we just make to go around them, we should be fine." Sure enough, as she skirts you just inland you spot a half dozen lizard folk watching you from the riverside. They seem to growl and talk among themselves but, outnumbered, they choose to leave you be, and the group is happy to avoid another bloody encounter.
The rain finally subsides as you reach the main river again, as evening sets in and Azaka calls a halt to setup camp. Everyone is tired, muddy, soaked, and ready for a good night sleep. A fire is put together to dry boots and clothes, and tents and hammocks are setup, but rain catchers are kept away this evening since everything is pretty full from the downpour earlier.
The night is quiet, overcast, and dark as usual. The small fire crackles and smoulders more than regular, the wood wet from the rain, and provides dim light. It's the 2am watch and Sir Darak is on post. He stands at attention, his back to a tree, listening intently and scanning the dark jungle. It's been a long day and he's both worried and disappointed by Boris. Perhaps he has a phobia of spiders that he'd never talked about, or, just being trapped inside a massive spider web filled with spiders the size of pony's may be enough to give someone one. Plus he'd been bitten and carried off. One spider had even crawled in his mouth when he'd been paralyzed and after retching he'd spit the remains of the dead thing out of his mouth. It'd been a rough go, and he was clearly shaken. Even now he stirred regularly in his fitful sleep. This jungle was no place for a civilized man.
Sir Darak kicked absently at a centipede crawling out of a small hole in the ground with the tip of his boot. The dirt gave way a bit, revealing numerous holes. Out of each crawled a half dozen centipedes. He tried to cover them back up by sweeping some dirt back over it. The ground beneath his feet begin to writh and twist, and suddenly the entire ground was alive and squirming as hundreds, maybe thousands of centipedes came pouring out of the ground in every place.
OOC: Sorry guys, long day and then my girlfriend's car broke down after work. Darak would have cast Shield to block the attack from the Spider.
Sir Darak Darkhall: Surprised by the sudden movement beneath the earth, Darak wonders if the very ground of Chult itself has risen up against them. Seeing the insects emerging from their holes, Darak shouts, "Awaken! Insects assault the camp! Sedrik! Gregory! Keep the tents sealed while I attempt to lead them away!"

Yroc wakes with a start at the sound of screaming, and it takes a moment for the words to penetrate his consciousness as he looks around at the grainy grey world around him. His gaze reaches the forest floor, confirming the insect assault, and then the second half of the cry makes him look up with terror. "You fool! Return to camp! Get your feet off the ground!" he bellows out in shock, then reaches out a hand towards the ground to blast the insects at close range.
He holds, however, fearing it might only antagonize the creatures and search for ways to climb higher to respond to the assault. He had seen crazier things in this wilderness, after all. Instead he invokes the chants of the Ancient Tribe, summoning an illusion of fire to spread out underneath his hammock in hopes of frightening the animals off.
