The heat in the jungle is intensified as the party, many wrapped in their armor, move through the treacherous footing of the jungle, swinging their weapons and blast their magic trying to defeat the zombies stumbling around them. The air is a haze of yellow musk from the flowers, as a bonfire burns next to the well, and several zombies lay crackling and burning on the jungle floor amidst the ancient ruins. Sweat soaks clothing, and drips down temples and from hair as the fast moving action continues to drag on. ( for over 40 seconds... ? )

OOC @DM:
I don't think it matters, but zombie attacks against Darak still have disadvantage from Protection from evil and good. I looked back the last 2 turns and no attacks against him hit anyway, just thought it worth pointing out again ;) You could maybe also mark his outline with something to remember it? And those holding concentration as well, so you can call that out where necessary.
Yroc cries out in pain as one of the zombies finally lands a hit again. With the creatures now surrounding him it is difficult to keep all sides protected. Angrily he turns away from the lone zombie, once again focusing on the two that had been trying to flee, sword and flame flashing through the air. Unfortunately his attack once again gets disrupted as he needs to spin to keep the lone zombie from landing another open blow.
Sickle pants in the heat, dodging and ducking the attacks from the zombie, desperately trying to put the thing down for good as he slashes again with the sword of flame.
Attack: 7 Damage: 14 fire damage from Flame Blade
He calls out to Yroc, “If you need to fall back, see if you can slip away and I think can slow them down!”
Sir Darak Darkhall: Coughing while wiping his eyes, the Paladin says a silent prayer to Tyr as he regains his senses. Finding himself facing the plant creature a second time, Darak elects to stand his ground and fight. Calling upon the full power of Onyx, the blade ignites in black flame as he strikes the flower.
Badger launches a blast of fire that slams into the plant creature, its flowers curling up in blackened bits, its vines burning away in moments. The creature appears much diminished, its vines flapping around in panic. Then Sir Darak slams his blade into its mass, bits of green and blackened vegetation flying into the air. Silas continues wailing on the fallen Zombie with his hammer, bone and sinew cracking as the creature continues to thrash on the ground trying to harm him. Meanwhile Yroc and Sickle continue locked in melee combat with their foes.
(OOC: Thanks for the reminder and the ideas!! I'm going to need a comprehensive color legend at this rate.... :p)
Kasaaptu fires yet another blast at the plant creature. (please still take your attack, I don't think you can kill it with a single blow though...)
The zombie next to Sir Darak continues it's futile assault, his armor, and Yroc's protection making Sir Darak nigh untouchable to the undead. Attack: 14 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
The creature fighting Sickle swings at him... Attack: 22 Damage: 4
The one on the ground next to Silas tries to bite his ankle. Attack: 17 Damage: 5
The three zombies now around Yroc all swing at him. Attack: 17 Damage: 4 Attack: 12 Damage: 6. Attack: 16 Damage: 9.
The flower creature by Sir Darak thrashes at him with it's tendrils. Attack: 11 Damage: 14

Lightning cascades through the flowers and vines, dancing up and down it, it's greenery blackening as Kasaaptu unleashes a witch bolt at the plant. Then she follows up with a blast of force. Sir Darak slams it with his sword, cutting it askew, his blades green fire leaping to the nearby zombie. As they watch the blasted and chopped plants vines are recombining, new tendrils squirming around out of cracks. The burnt sections stay dead though.
Yroc continues to beat on the zombies around him, shattering bone, while their disfigured bodies still somehow function. Silas, also slamming into the creature into the ground. (CON: 18).
The zombie's skull, smashed into the soft loam, the bone shattered, somehow lifts it back out, still struggling to hurt Silas.
