I was hoping with how many abandoned towns we been passing by that the orcs might move on to somewhere with people and valuables. Certainly the closer we get to the location the map the less likely orcs to find us. The only problem with you all scouting ahead is you do not know which way we are going, and if we stop to scout it will make the trip last longer, increasing the chances of encountering orcs."

Persuasion 18 (not trying to be devious in the attempt just naturally curious, not one for surprises)
@ everyone, Gundren: (to Gimble) "We found an abandoned mine. We were reopening it. I went back to get more supplies to get operations started. Its up north wards. Its in a hidden location, thats why I am using this map." He says holding up the map. "We are going to go through one more town on the way there, from there it will be off road and hard to say where exactly we are and are going. I'm sorry if its vague and unhelpful but it is what it is. Once we get there we should be safe from goblins, bandits and orcs. You all will be there, so if there is trouble we should be fine."
@ everyone, everyone eats their evening meal, and the talking starts to die down. With the camp secure, the night watches begin. Starting with Casmir by himself. Then Syl and Gimble, followed lastly with Thok. Casmir's watch is uneventful. Syl and Gimble see several nocturnal animals, but they do not get close to the camp as soon as they see people. During Thok's watch, You are certain you see someone or something in the distance. Whatever it is doesn't pay attention to the camp but it seems in a hurry. Its not too surprising to see something in the triboar trail as it is frequently used, but it is odd someone would be in such a hurry at night and alone. (OOC: feel free to interrupt and say you wanted ot keep talking with Gundren or someone else in the party and we can continue the evening section. I'm going to move on, but will return to it if needed.)
@ everyone, You all wake up the next morning. Having rested well. All the alarms and traps placed before resting are undisturbed. The party eats up the left overs from last nights feast for the morning meal, and then return to the road. You travel for roughly 4 hours and then you can see smoke in the distance. From what little you can see the sky between the trees. You keep going until in the distance you can see armored riders coming towards you. Gundren: (to the party) "This looks like trouble. We don't know who or what they are just yet, but my money is on kingdom knights." Gundren stops the wagon, and waits for the riders to approach.

[reward: ???] 6/side quest: Meet with Sister Garaele in Emberhorn City [reward: ???]) 7/side quest: Do a favor for Hamun Kost, Either get an answer for the Banshee or Remove the Orc threat [reward: answer to your questions])

Syl was quiet during her watch and overnight, keeping to herself and reading her books and papers. In the morning, she casts Mage Armor and gets ready for travel.
“No place to get off the road and avoid this, I suppose. Let’s have the stealthier ones take positions on either side of the road, in hiding, in case there is trouble? And our strongest- looking ones in front?” Syl suggests. If the others agree, she retreats to the side of the road in a strategic spot overlooking the trail, and ducks down, placing an illusionary minor illusion of a boulder or tree stump ( similar to others around the area) to hide in. “Let me know if I’m well hidden” she asks (to get help with the stealth check)
Stannic stands next to the wagon, leaning against his staff and looking as non-threatening as possible. He looks up at Gundren “Why would Kingdom Knights be trouble to us? We have done no wrong.”
@ Stannic, Gundren: (to Stannic) "They're trouble in the sense that there is trouble around here. We don't know for sure they are kingdom knights also. So be on your guard."

@ the party, eventually the riders get up to the party. Knight of Emberhorn: (to everyone) "I'm sorry but this area is restricted by the kingdom. An Orc raid group just destroyed the town of Thundertree. As I'm sure you can see the smoking rising in the distance." The knight points to the sky. In the distance you can see multiple plumes of black smoke rising. "I'm sorry but we must ask you to leave this area immediately." Gundren: (to the Knight) "I can't do that sir. My expedition, which includes my brothers is beyond this town and they need all these supplies we are hauling." (OOC: this conversation will continue. I'm just making a break in it incase anyone wants to interrupt or do something.)
Relaxing his posture, Gimble asks, “Sir, as you can see we’re not just ordinary folk. If you’ll allow us to pass, we will keep this caravan protected. Shoot, we may even be able to take out a few or a for you along the way.”
@ the party, the knight that was talking to the party looks at Gundren and then at Gimble. Knight of Emberhorn: (to the party) "You can plead your case to the Knight incharge. Follow me, and don't try anything funny." Gundren nods, he then looks to the party. He gets the wagon started again to follow the two knights.
(OOC: i wanted to give Casmir and Stannic a chance to post still. If everyone is ready I will advance the story.)
