(Lock is covered by clotted blood and matted fur, Gimble can’t pick crap....unless the blessings from above have it be so)
Gimble thinks he has it, then he hears a loud click, for sure he has the lock... he looks down, the lock pick broke inside the lock, loosing a pick and now this specific lock can't be picked.
(OOC: you have a whole kit so you can try to pick the locks of the other 5 locks, and if you wish to do that, just give me one more lock pick check, and we'll see how it goes.)

(OOC A proficiency of 2 is crap for a rogue lol am I adding the correct amount lol)
Gimble tries again with new determination, he manages to pick the locks for wolf 2, 3, and 4. (OOC: give me one final lock pick roll to see if you can free 5 and 6, wolf 1's lock is jammed with the broken lock.)
Hati bends down to wolf 4, taking note of it's eyes and staring deep into it's soul (not really but you get the idea XD).
Seeing that the others are working on it's chains, he simply holds out his palm to his heart, before revealing the edges of a clawed scar to the wolf.
wolf 4 sniffs you. (OOC: if you are close enough to the wolf to touch it, it will try to lick the scar.)
Gimble comes over and unlocks wolf 4. wolf 4 looks at both Gimble and then at Hati. Wolf 4 growls at Hati.
Hati you are reminded of the odd wolf in your dream. the position of the wolf and how it growls at you. This wolf is real when that wolf was odd in some way. it barks.
Gniff is able to understand. Wolf 4: (to Hati) "Who are you? Are you the one i am suppose to follow? Are you strong?"
Gerrack presents his staff to Edmond: „Maybe you c-can use this as a l-lever. If you c-combine your s-strength and h-help one another, you m-might break the chains w-with t-this tool,“ he says, referring to the borked lock on Wolf 1.
Gniff nods to Finnian, Misty and Gimble, "You have the right of it, always prepare for a little bit of unpredictability from wild animals. I agree with your caution."
He says to the wolf in front of Hati, "He is friend, strong friend." Then right to Hati, "He is asking about you, I can translate if you feel comfortable but I suggest a stronger statement of breaking it's bonds. Or at least helping to."
He looks at the tiefling and over to Edmond and Gerrack and holds his hand out for the staff, "A great idea. I will give it a go with maybe Hati's help?"
"Why not use the right tool for the job..." Misty says, pulling a crowbar from her pack. "Here, this will work better than the staff..." She hands the crowbar over, but stays back from the wolves. They would not smell fear on her but caution.
Edmond - A crowbar. Thank you, Misty. Gniff, can you ask the last wolf to sit in the middle of the floor, please? I would like a volunteer to place Misty's crowbar through the collar to the ground and hold the bar while I hit it with my 'hammer. It might appear to the wolves that we are staking the wolf to the floor, but it'll instead break the collar.
Animal Handling, to continue calming the wolf 17
Edmond reaches into his armour to grasp his amulet, and closes his eyes and in intones (bass voice) - Holy Tyr, I beseech thee in all humility for aid in freeing this wolf from captivity. Justice will be done by letting these wolves free to return to the wilds from whence they were abducted.
Hati listens to Gniff, but keeps eye contact with the wolf before flashing his canines, stating in primordial, "So be it." He then pulls out his longsword and with both hands, channeling a smite into his blade, swings at the chain holding the wolf.
Just as Gniff was about to stand and assist Edmond, Hati's strike makes him jump back. He doesn't know this tiefling other than he is a man of few words and looks to be some violent tendencies. Either way, Gniff backs off quickly and watches.

<edit to add the die roll>
Edmond, Wolf 1 was already calm and remains calm. (OOC: give me an attack roll with advantage. [advantage cause target {a chain/collar} is not moving.])

Hati, (OOC: i guess its now a race to see which of the two of you breaks wolf 1's chain. give me an attack roll with advantage like Edmond)
(OOC: @ Misty, if you are moving back to your spot by Finnian after you give your crowbar to Edmond, give me a perception check.)
(OOC: @ everyone, let me know what you are doing. [DM's comment: i will remind you are in a hostile area, not saying speed up or slow down just a friendly reminder, as anything can happen at any time.])

After Gimble finishes the last lock, he steps slowly away from the wolves still unsure as to what is going to happen. As he does so he looks at the small path behind them to see what they were guarding.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After retrieving his staff, Gerrack will wait a moment to see the result of the freeing of the last wolf; as this chamber with the wolves is basically a dead end, he will then return to the corridor, go into stealth, and continue slowly scouting/checking for traps ahead, stopping before the next intersection about 20 feet to the north, which is where a west-northwest tunnel begins. He'll wait there until the others emerge from the chamber as well, just in case something goes wrong concerning the wolves and he might need to provide assistance, as well as to keep an eye out for any possible ambushes from further in.
Perception: 10 Stealth: 23 Investigation: 5
(or he would, if the dice roller would actually work.)
dice roller is not working edit roll: 10 (just discount this last roll, apparently I needed to make it to cause numbers to show up for all the other rolls)
Edmond, feeling Tyr's strength you swing your hammer on the crowbar making a loud clink sound as the collar breaks freeing the wolf.
Gniff, Wolf 1 turns to Gniff. Wolf 1: (to Gniff) "My pack will leave now. we will not attack you two legs." Wolf 1 turns back to the other five wolves. Wolf 1: (to the wolf pack) "Lets go!"
Wolves, 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 leave the section of the cave and head towards the exit. Wolf 1 seeing Wolf 4 not leaving with the rest. Wolf 4: (to Wolf 1) "I am going to kill the funny green creatures." Wolf 1 doesn't respond and then leaves with the rest of his pack.

Gimble, sees a narrow tunnel that goes upwards. its looks a little steep but climbable.
Misty, you can't see anything of note even with the help of Finnians torch, but you do hear things... various sounds but of indeterminate origin. Likely you are hearing echos of sounds, making them distorted. you believe you hear water, likely from the river but you suspect something more deeper in the cave. You think you might hear voices but you can't make out any words, its possible it could be sounds from animals or monsters.

Gerrack, (OOC: huh, using quotes seems to have made the dice roller work. haha. Thanks to Gniff's brooch that is illuminated by his light spell, you can see that there is a small tunnel in the back of the section, that Gimble is currently looking at.)
