 'Not.. not.. .enough..' Once more the weave becomes visible for a split second as a manifestation of chaos shot from the distorted space right Garabad. Though after which, Bixby is holding his head; Alys healing having healed his wounds, but soothed whatever pressed against the mind for but a second.

Action: Cast (1st level)Chaos Bolt at Gar-baaajio with Psychic Sorcery, eliminating (DC 2: 5) all components.

Using Empowered Metamagic to re-roll the 2d8, making them 6 for a new total of 12 total damage(Acid).

Garabad will use his one 7th level spell slot to Teleport.

Alys will grit her teeth, and following her mentors lead, she’ll attempt to counterspell.

Kashasaurus lets out a deafening roar, furious Garabad got away. With Obsidian hanging on, she turns upon another target in her angry bloodlust, seeing new meat and a new target dummy to let out her cretaceous frustrations. Obsidian struggles to keep her under control - the thought of an enemy fleeing overtaking her primal mentality, filling her with rage.

Alys would feel the disappointment and raw frustration hit her like a tonne of bricks. I needed to do better. A large sigh would escape her lips. The elf will hold out her hand to call upon her magical darts and strike Khalum. She had let the true target go.

There’s a guttural growl that emits from the barbarian once he sees Garabad slip away like the worm he was. Yvan let’s out his frustrations on the remaining enemy!

For good measure, Kashasuarus smashes her foot down upon Malum's carcass, letting out a triumphant roar into the general vicinity of everyone. She begins messily devouring the corpses one by one, just like before.

Yvan approached, checking the bodies, and she stops eating, impatiently waiting. Seeing there was nothing of note, she snorted and resumed her meal, making loud noises and quite a mess.

You have won the battle. There is now a family of bound and gagged people who are disturbed by Kasha's feeding frenzy

And not the fact a Kashasaurus Rex just helped liberate them guided by a black cat wearing goggles? Fair enough. You can hear the bones cracking in her mouth as she takes enormous bites and chews - putting her foot down at times holding the corpses and ripping them apart. Just for good measure and a bit of comedic effect, Kashasaurus will turn her head and roar at the bound family and make sure they're not a threat, or perhaps to let them know they have been saved - and if they try anything funny..she'll eat them, too. She squints at them briefly and returns to her caloric consumption.

It took a few extra moments, but the growing strain at the edges of Bixby's expression eventually fades from existence. Though Kasha's roaring would warrant him rubbing at an ear and idly test for damage, the experiment would yet force himself to move in the direction of the bound family. But instead of freeing them immediately, he took a moment to examine the site and make absolutely sure there was no lingering aspects of the ritual taking place, or wards yet set to undermine rescuers out of spite.

Investigation: 24 + 3(Guidance)

After a few more seconds, Yvan looks to calm himself down from his normal seething rage, giving a sigh of defeat when the realization sets in that Garabad really had gotten away. He wonders briefly if it would be possible to track him down and finish it, but is interrupted by Kasha's roar and the sight of the bound family. Seeing Bix head in their direct, he expects the changeling to unbind them, but when he doesn't, the goliath goes over to do so, as tentatively as possible. 

"... Sorry," What he's apologizing for is a mystery, but he quickly follows it up with, "... Don't move..." Warning them as he begins the process of cutting off their bindings and removing any gags. 

The family remains still as you cut the bonds. "Thank you so much for saving us." The old man says to you. "Is that creature going to eat us?" He asks, pointing at the Kashasaurus.

This one still squirming in throes of death. (Loud bone cracking and chewing noises.) Kasha puts her foot down, ripping one apart in half, chewing, and gulping loudly. She turns to the prisoners as if she could understand what they were saying, especially when the stupid old man said “that creature”. She let loose a deep rumble at him and proceeded to finish her meal. She made no attempt to be polite, neat, or eat quietly because she was a dinosaur.
