Bixby's Feather Fall negates the miniscule damage that you would take from hitting the ceiling. A few moments later, the orb stops glowing, reversing the gravity to normal. I assume that Bixby will cast Feather Fall, if not, Vastra does it before attempting to cast Dispel Magic on the orb so that it doesn't do that again.

"Now it shouldn't do that again. Let's get moving."

You exit the orb room and walk through a room that looks like animals would be kept there. But the cages are empty and it looks like something punched its way out of the cages. You're able to pass through the room and head up the staircase to get to the second floor. When you make it there, you see three doors. One to the north, one to the northeast, and one to the west.

The goliath rubs the back of his head after not being fast enough to grab something to hold him down. The damage wasn't terrible, at most giving him a slight headache, but that was about it. As long as the others were okay, he didn't really care. As they continued forth, Yvan naturally gravitates towards Alys. He imagined this whole situation for her was less than ideal. Mentally and emotionally, this must have been utterly taxing, and he hoped that his presence would set her mind at ease, even just a little bit. He would let it be known to her through their mental link that had she needed anything he was there for her.

When they see the broken cages, he mutters, "That might be a problem for us later if we're not careful..." Other than that, he remains quiet until they get to the room with the doors. "Magical, I'm sure...?" He casts Detect Magic.

The bump simply knocked Alys back to her senses. It’d leave a little bump on the noggin, but nothing to complain about compared to the wounds others still bore from the statues, that she still felt guilty she hasn’t checked on.

Alys would swallow, feeling her walls waver a little at Yvan’s presence. But she’d look up to him with appreciation when his words would replace her worries in her mind with comfort. The elf would drift her steps to gently bump against him and offer a hint of a smile.

”What do you think it could be?” She’d ask in response as her eyes scanned the scene for any signs or traces of it, investigating alongside Yvan. Should we look for it before it finds us? Is there a lead to where it went? 

You head through the door to the north. Inside, you see the corpse of a beholder, eyes removed, with three dog-like creatures doing what appears to be eating it, or at least consuming it. You can't quite tell, because the dogs don't have mouths to eat the beholder. They don't even have heads. Where there should be heads, there are oversized human fists attached to their necks. As you attempt to wrap your mind around the existence of such a bizarre creature, they all turn and face you, somehow, despite not having eyes.

There's a slight upturn at the corner of the barbarian's lip when Alys lightly bumps into him. "Not sure... But I have a feeling we'll find out soon enough..." 

After notifying the others that the doors were normal and were no signs of magic about the rest of the room, he goes ahead and opens the door to the North. Upon the sight of these... weird creatures, his mind flies back to just minutes before, remembering the cages. "... There they are."

Bixby would've left the ride down to Vastra, having exhausted much of his lesser magics. Any more, and... he dismissed the thought, and simply nodded his thanks to the wizard later after on the ground proper. Bixby's eyes lingered upon the cages as the group passes them by, but said nothing. Just as he remained quiet at Alys passing inquires, before someone inevitable called a path to follow.

"... Mad indeed." He offhandedly states as all soon ready to battle madness.

Initiative: 7.

“Yay!! Puppies!!!!” Kasha said gleefully in her dog petting voice, throwing Obsidian playfully into the air. The cat would have gotten a better initiative score but was amazed of Acheronian animals here, in such a strange place. “Woo! Let’s pet them!!”

Bixby rather warily draws a wand and unleashes a metric crap ton of magical darts at the seeming most reactive one of the bunch. "Please do cease your function. Your existence cannot be too pleasant." He requested, despite knowing it would fall on deaf and non-existent ears.

Fistborkus2 lets out a maddening bark! Kasha, Stella, Vastra, Yvan, Bixby, and Alys all need to make DC16 Wisdom Saving Throws to take half of 26 psychic damage as your brains try to understand how it can bark with no mouth!
