(Mord and Gnoll took full damage, the rest took half.)
"Okay, everyone move out!" Belfort tells the group after they wash up, passing some remnants of the water from the barrel to splash people's faces etc.
The journey continues for another hour or so with an awkward quiet. Given this is the first impressions of the party on the island, burning down part of the jungle is probably not the best result that could have happened. Regardless, they have arrived further up the path, finding that several of the trees have fallen from their rooted position completely. There is definite signs of a bad storm passing through the area. Ahead the group can see the river they had noted earlier crosses this area, however, the bridge that crossed over the narrower path of the waters appears to have broken during this time.
If people want to make Intelligence (Investigation) or Wisdom (Survival) checks, they are free to do so.
"Okay, looks like we're going to be here for a little while." Belfort tells the group. "We're going to have to clear the area and begin on repairs. This is the main trade way, and caravans will be expecting to be back through here tomorrow."
The artisan gnomes hop off of the cart, tools in hand as a couple head off with a 2-man saw, another pair retrieve wands and begin casting some spells. It's up to the party how they wish to aid and interact in this.
Main Objectives
Ensure the safety of the artisans.
Clear the fallen trees from the road & the riverside.
While people are seting up and clearing the path, Gnoll will scout around the area for sighns of danger. Looking for tracks and keeping an eye open for monsters or bandits.

Once the artisans start working on the bridge, Gnoll will turn into a giant octopus to give them a hand or eight with the work.
Gnoll surveys the surrounding area. The goblin discovers that there are other critters in the jungle, such as poisonous snakes, and there are carnivorous fish within the water. It looks like the requirement of the party for protection was valid, as there are plenty of nasty critters that could sneak up on a working artisan and snatch them if caught unaware.
From his checks, Gnoll reckons he can set some basic snares and other traps (from the Survival check) in order to aid in warding off any potential threats for the time being.
Tahia examines the river and the broken bridge, looking for paths across, or the best place to tie a rope off. (Investigation check: 10 - if you prefer a Perception check for the far side of the bridge, 27 - passives are 15 and 19 respectively) She will offer her grappling hook to get a line across the river -- "I can throw a line if you like, but if one of you folks has some magic to float it across and secure it, that would work too."
Tahia begins to check the area about, noting that the lower parts of the structure, the poles that jut out of the river's bed, are still serviceable and able to be used for balancing on and/or connecting things to.
The artisans appear to be working on the sawed lumber they have been working on and making a large wooden frame that they begin to measure up, it looks like they're making a temporary small bridge to allow access to the other side of the river shortly.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As everyone prepares for the work on the bridge, Trumann gently grasps his holy symbol and lets out a quick prayer. "Blessed Queen please aid those who need you now."
Prayer of Healing13 for the party.
He whispers to Mord
"That one is going to be trouble, Fire in a densely wooded area, could have killed us all. I wonder what wounds are on his soul? My Queen tests me yet again. And I will listen."
Survival 7
Trumann will survey the area, and then pass from person to person, checking, binding and treating wounds and burns as required

T'vonii looks the bridge over for improvements. He considers nearby trees for threat to the bridge, construction of the trusses and their viability in flood waters, and of course the base assembly. So in thought he almost misses the touches of healing magic. Though he is used to this kind of upkeep healing from his time with the Order, he makes the effort to turn his attention to Trumann and give a nod of appreciation.
"Where do you need hands, master craftsman? I can also aid, for a brief time, by providing one of you with flight if you would like access under the bridge unhindered." The elf says, having decided his skills are best suited to the repair work.
(When Trumann says a quick prayer, he means a ten minute one...)
Mord begins preparing some alarms as he traces the areas of ground ahead of the work area, taking his time to ensure it is all correctly covered. The bridgework continues over the span of another hour or so, with the party on watch and occasionally being called over to help with the heavy carrying (but enough for a short rest for those who require it).
"Right," Belfort wipes her brow. "Emergency repairs are in place, now we need to get to work on the central struts." She mentions. She looks to T'vonii. "If you have that fly spell at the ready in case someone falls, so another can go and help them out. There's nasty stuff that lingers in these waters, falling in without someone to help pull you out could be seen as a death sentence to most." With that, the gnomes begin heading over the base repairs onto their A-Frame bridge to start working at the poles in the water.
Everyone: Can you make a Wisdom (Perception) check. If you get 15 or higher:
As the gnomes are working, there are a few disturbances in the waters some 50 ft. upstream from them. It's hard to make out due to the waters being murky from the debris that has come from further up, but it looks like perhaps a large river beast is in the area.
Korvek has no mind or technique for craft so he helps with manual labor. Opting to lifting and pushing fallen trees out of the way and to move any of the craftsmen product if needed.
Gnoll will make sure to stay on the downriver side of the bridge, to keep an eye on the bridge and the work as well as to keep an eye on the disturbance from time to time.

The group to keeps watch, the bridge getting worked. It is at that moment the water stirs again, closer to the bridge this time. (Given the group success, there is no surprise round)
Headed directly for the octopus is an enormous crocodile creature lurks into view, mostly obscured by the water, but coming to lunge at its next meal.
Scenario: Gnoll is positioned in the water, 10 ft. away from the crocodile. The crocodile is submerged in water (resistant to fire, and partially obscured). The rest of the party is about 25 ft. away on the shore. The artisans are on the bridge (I've not put them on initiative unless it becomes pertinent)
T'vonii wipes some soot from his brow, then looking down at his hands simply "cleans it away".
