Trumann will step out of the way and mutter to himself, but loud enough for the nobleman to hear as they pass. "I never understood the "ruling class" who are supposed to take care of others who behave this way. In life, as in death, the gods see us all as equals.

The noble seems learned enough not to jump at the slightest bait thrown at him as his eyes glance over the party, but he continues onwards, further into town.
(So, getting back home)
Returning back to the house the silver haired elf staying with the group, Alana, offers to prepare an evening meal for the house, a little time to settle in better and to feel a bit more connected as housemates. The son, Tristal, is absent from the meal, apparently requiring an early night.
(Everyone may benefit from a long rest as we move into the next day.)
The next morning begins with overcast skies, apparently the oceanic winds brought with it some dark clouds. However, the town continues on as it does. The elves staying with the party are up and about, getting food for the morning prepared and planning their first foray into getting work in the town.
Gnoll takes the morning wander to the beachfront. The tide is headed out as he finds a pair of tortles setting up some drying wracks being setup, some curing equipment beside them. Upon approaching them, the goblin is informed they can cure and harden the scales, though it will take some time to properly process the crocodile hide. They offer to either do it for a fee of 20 gold, or if half of the hide for them to work with themselves. If they want it crafting into armour or other items, it will cost a little extra.
Gnoll would go for dividing the leather between them. Also he would offer to help them for an hour or two to get the skin prepared. Chating with them, how live is here, what were the more exotic hides they worked with, if they knew any enchanting techniques or if they knew someone who enchants leather. Small talk between adventurer and artisan craftsmen.

Feel free to make a Charisma (Nature) or Charisma (Survival) check, basically talking to them and conversing about the tanning process and general small talk about the procedure.
Tahia will help the elves out, giving them the lowdown on the jobs that were on offer yesterday, what she saw of the town if they're trying to figure out what to do about their son, etc.
Tahia asks about their current plans. At the moment they are looking at potentially getting part-time tasks, alternating days and the such so they can stay with their son on their free days if all goes according to plan.
Gnoll spends an hour with the two tortles, finding that they have worked with some impressive hides in the past, from working displacer beasts into cloaks, dinosaur skin with their master from the capital to make a set of protective scale armour, amongst other works. Whilst not enchanters themselves, they pride themselves in their work to ensure that an enchanter can have only the best material to work with.
Gnoll is informed that they will bring him the finished work tomorrow, given he provides them with an address.
Trumann may roll 1d100 to see what he encounters...
Trumann makes his way into town. There isn't any news about the next load of ships arriving yet, but there are some people who would appreciate the help of a nice elephant man. He finds himself aiding a couple of halflings with carrying some lumber through the houses that have been recently built. They inform Trumann that because of how many people came on the first ship, they might not have enough space as it is for any other refugees that come this way, so a lot of people are working on expanding the town. They're speaking with the local rangers and druids about aiding in harvesting enhanced crops to ensure there's enough food also, though they're hoping that if the path to the capital is open again they can get aid from there. After dropping off the long beams of processed woods, the halfling offer a gold piece for his time and company.

Tvon'ii seeks out caravans that might be heading out towards the Capital in the next few days. He also keeps an eye out for any shops or persons in the market of trading books. Books containing spell information being a high priority but also books on creatures and beings that kill with emerald fire. He pays attention to even folk stories that might mention similar accounts.
Korvek makes his way back to the town hall. He finds that the captain from yesterday is currently discussing something with Master Belfort, the artisan they travelled with together yesterday. "Yes, they are quite capable, though might need a little better control on their evocative natures." Master Belfort says as Korvek arrives on the scene. "Ah, here is one now. I was just reporting to the good captain on the mission you were tasked with yesterday. Thanks to your assistance the path will be reopened officially later today, meaning trade ways inland will be available again."
Tvon'ii finds that there isn't any great libraries or locations of the sort in this coastal town, possibly due to the perpetual water hazards of the ocean and coastal weather. However, there is a general store that appears to have a shelf of books for purchase. They appear to be novels, some romance ones and a couple of adventurous tales. However, none strike as having anything about emerald flames.
"That's good news and apologies for the fire. Most of us are used to warfronts, not so much used to forests. Is there anything else that needs to be done to help with travel around here?" Korvek asks.
"I'm sure there's more things we can set you about to do." The gnome captain tells Korvek. "If you gather your party, there's a couple of jobs out in the forests again, as well as some less dangerous tasks of cleaning the path by the shrines, aiding the fishers, and other mundane duties that a spare set of hands can be helpful for."

(Let me know if you want to stop the noble for anything. If not, we can move on.)
Gnoll will just observe. As long as no violance starts he will stay hidden.
