Kane, you hear Mordekai's overly loud pronouncement from below. To be clear, the horrid looking women weren't physically trying to grab you, but were making reaching and grabbing motions while not moving towards you. Which, if we're honest, is even more horrifying.
Mirror Image absolutely covers you for speaking, all the mouths moving in unison, the sound not enough to pinpoint you, and you continue to shift with the images anyway. Once they pinpoint you, they still "lose you in the crowd" as you move around. There's no pinpointing the real one and then ignoring the fake ones like in previous editions.
"What is this?" he whispers. The womens horrid faces look gleefully at the multiple images bouncing around.
"Oooh, he's so pretty sister," one says. "So pretty..." the other agrees. "Come dance with us, we are just having some fun..." the first one whispers. "Yes, please, we're lonely...and you're so pretty..." the other says.
Their gowns of stitched flesh draw your eyes. The patches of skin are small. The piles of discarded clothes are small. As the horrible truth dawn on you, you come to the realization that the flesh gowns must be made from children.

The three images of Kane each take a shuddering breath. After confirming that there are no children alive in the room, (Perception: 10) he will back out of the door and close it behind him.
He will then proceed back down the stairs. As long as he is not followed, he will dispel his duplicates and subtly rejoin his companions.
"Bones of human littles." Meepo says with a glance at the bones, answering his companions question. He frowns, recalling the two children from the house in that first village and glancing to the woman. "Why so many little's bones?" he asks her.
"Children..." Aga mumbles. She closes her eyes, takes a deep breath and looks to the woman. "You baked children into pies?" Her muscles begin to tense, gripping her lance tightly.
Kane looks around, there seem to be no children in here, until...he hears a muffled, "Help" come from one of the crates in the closet. Two of them have closed doors on them that appear latched from the outside. The two woman freeze. Then ones says, "Help, I said." The other ones nods vigorously, "Yes...me too, help me....come closer..."
(there's no door for this room, you just climb a stairway through the floor and into the room, FYI).
Downstairs the woman makes a "pffffff" noise to Aga. "No no, don't be silly. No children in the pies. Just childrens bones. The bones are traded to us, so we may make the pies the villagers want. How else can my dream pies bring you to paradise? Try one, you will see."
Olin, you're still getting the distinct impression she's bending the truth somehow.

The moment seems to hang in the air, as the group stands in the windmill. Childrens bones litter the floor, the nasty old woman stands by the oven, her dream pies baked from their crushed bones sitting on the oven, their golden brown pastry outside and tangy roasted chicken scent belying their true insidious contents. All illusion of Kane leans by the oven, Olin stands nearby, mouth agape at the reality of the situation, while Aga stands, a pinkish rouge moving up her neck into her face, as her muscles bunch and twitch, the lance shaking over so slightly in her grasp as anger fills her being. Meepo stands nearby, glancing to and fro, attempting to ascertain if cooking with children bones is off side. He quickly gathers from the groups reaction that they're not happy with this truth revealed. Mordekai's face is difficult to read, his usually mischievous attitude seemingly trying to figure out if it would be more effective to use trickery to torment this woman, or just use force and be done with her.
Ireena looks a mixture of aghast, and angry, her own hand slipping towards a short sword at her side. Ismark's own hand has moved to his sword, his face having turned dark, his frow so furrowed his eyes look like dark pits.
Meanwhile, upstairs, Kane stands taking in the gruesome details that only add up to one thing. The small voice squeaking 'help' from the box echoes in his mind. Another presence can be felt at the back of his mind, the traveler is here, his influence a light touch...some things can not be left to fester.
(Mordekai has been trying to figure out whether they should stay and pursue this further now, or to leave and come back later - he'd just about decided on leaving and coming back later, given he doesn't know there are children actually there currently, but I'm sure that will change if Kane gets a chance to share that information!)
Mordekai will cast Thaumaturgy to create the sound of a child laughing outside the windmill.
Kane sneaks back down the stairs, as the group continues to look at the woman. The sound of a laughing child can be heard from outside the windmill. Everyone's eyes are drawn as Kane completes his descend, and Mordekai dismisses the illusion. As everyone seems locked in indecision, Kane wanders across the room and whispers his dread secret to Mordekai, while holding the old womans eyes.

"Big little outside?" Meepo asks with a glance to the door. He has a brief worry about the little being lost, but then remembers that bigs, little or not, cannot be lost. He tries to keep this in mind as he sees his companions whispering together.

The sound of the giggle comes again, followed a few seconds later by the sound of little footprints running and playing, loud enough to be clearly heard within. Mordekai watches the old woman for any signs of a reaction.

"It is the dead of night. What child would be playing in the darkness?" She then pauses, and sighs. "I keep forgetting I walk in a cursed land, forget I said anything." Aga will look around for a place to sit. "I am torn on the pies, though thinking about it, I guess I've had worse...regardless, our purpose here is not for food. We wish for a place to rest. Would you mind we stayed for the night?"
Everyone's hands creep away from their weapons as Aga seems to settle on the place for the night. Izmark stares at her agape, seemingly not comprehending, but Ireena places a hand on his shoulder and gives him a reassuring nod. The woman stares about, looking towards the nearest window where the children sounds came from. "Fine. Stay, but 1 gold each for the night, pies or no. Be ready to pay me the rest when I get back..." she heads for the door outside to go look around, opening it up and wandering outside, leaving the group to themselves for a moment.

"And what? We leave the children up there to be made into pies?" Olin says with a hissing whisper. "I don't care that we're in a cursed land full of cursed people. We cannot just leave them to be slaughtered."
"I would rather not stay here in this house of death. If you all are resigned to it I will remain with you." Olin says, resigned, "This land is far too sinister for a stranger to be out in it alone."
Meepo, the bones seem to be from human children.
