Between Minda’s swing, and the explosive damage of Taj’s fire, you are able to knock a substantial hole into the pillar, sending bones and mortar clattering in a deafening wave and raising a cloud of terrible dust.
You can see now that the bones are laced around a narrow stone core - the same stone as the walls and floor. There’s considerable skill and artistry that’s gone into the weaving of the bones, if you were in a fit mood to see it.
Those of you peering down the corridor don’t see any movement. Your darkvision only carries back to the junction where you originally turned left - the corridor continues on a long way in darkness.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Minda coughs and curses. "This wasn't all of it, but it helps. I wonder what happened to the belongings of everyone whose bones are here." She takes a look around, shuffling the fallen rubble around with her leg (investigation check: 12).
She then returns to the others, asking if anything had shown interest in the sound.
Maruck nods but keeps his eyes peeled for anything out of the ordinary, doing his best to remain hidden away so that he will be able to hide from any further enemies.
There’s nothing but bones here - mostly small humanoids, but there’s more that you don’t recognise, including beaks from a different kind of creature and pieces of chitin. Sifting through, you spot what might once have been leather armor, and a couple of broken arrows. Nothing of value.
Mindalistens and waits another few minutes as well and if nothing is still moving then says, "Lets explore the other side then. It's good to have a clear room at our backs."
(all roll stealth for me please - if you're being stealthy - and a group perception check)
You head back along the corridor for 60ft until you reach the junction again. The air is still and tastes sour in your mouths. Continuing straight ahead, you move along a similar corridor, and shortly can make out that it's of a similar length, with two further corridors branching off in a t-junction. Anyone with proficiency in survival would be able to work out that you're getting fairly close to the bottom of the well.
Belatedly, Taj remembers the words of the Hobgoblin, "Don't go left...Dunno what’s in there, but none of the gobbos ever come back, and Barzuh says even the Undertakers don’t go that way. Reckon it’s not something you want to tangle with, but you wanna find out, you go for it.”
Ruefully, she resolves to listen more carefully in future. Still, at least they have taken care of that particular hazard. This time left might be a safer bet and a systematic way of exploring. She gestures in that direction, whilst keeping as quiet as possible.
At the far end of the corridor, the left hand path turns with a closed door to the left, while the right hand path continues. You’re fairly certain that where it turns to the right again is where you heard things after descending the well. Taj thinks that at the edge of her perception she can just about hear people shifting in the room behind the left hand door.
Mindawhispers back, "I doubt they are keeping the described monsters in the same quarters as others. Go look around and see what the rest of the area looks like. Also keep your nose sharp, I assume this will be the best sign that the monster is nearby."

Taj nervously does as Minda has requested. She is actually rather proud of her sharp snout and fervently hopes it doesn't let her down on this occasion.

That's definitely the other side of the secret door! It looks as though it's been carefully constructed so that it's only possible to open from this side, and there's a ledge to one side that'd allow a human to sit and listen at the hole in the wall.
Whoever it was Wendy heard retreating, this group must have been who they were going to tell.
The corridor continues on, winding and snaking around. Taj is able to make out another secret door on the left of the tunnel, just before it winds right and then straight ahead again - twenty feet further, it turns left. A careful look around the corner shows that the corridor ends at a closed door, with low candlelight barely filtering out under the door.
Minda sets herself up so that the bone rubble will hopefully not tangle her up and swings sideways into the pillar:
Attack: 23 Damage: 17

"No one's coming." Ruvlo says.

What do you do next?

(amazing)
Minda stays once again at the junction and asks the others to look around, keeping the way back clear.

Maruck will stay close to he group with an arrow at the ready to make sure that he can fire at a moment's notice.

(I'll update the map when I get home)
Ruvlo attempts to peek under the door.
Maruck moves with them but is more focused on being on guard incase something comes out to attack them.
Ruvolo can’t make out anything under the door - there’s enough of a gap for faint light to leak out, but it’s too narrow to see anything
