And Minda indeed does go first, following the instructions, all the way up to the room beyond the mirrors. Once there she asks the others to take a look around while she just stands in front of the corridor to the north, maul in her hands.
The hall and the chamber of pillars are just as you left them - there’s no disturbances in the sandy floor as far as you can tell.
Heading up the northern passage, you pass under the skeleton of the giant snake, still entangled with the pillar forest. The stairs are long, but it’s no issue to climb them. Ten feet into the corridor there’s a short passage that leads to a closed door, while fifteen feet beyond that you can see a t-junction. Sneaking a quick look, you can see that the corridor stretches 50ft in either direction. The floors are smooth, and the walls are mortared stone, similar to the bottom of the well. There’s no light beyond that you bring with you.
Which way do you go?
DM Note:
In order to keep things moving, I am going to describe more than I normally would - (ie, assuming you head straight up the stairs and take a look around the corners) if I rush you past something you’d like to say or do, please do jump back to it.
Minda says, "Lets head left, this leads further away from the other clan. I assume they have the whole area split in some way and don't stay too close to each other needlessly."
"That is a sound plan. We should be on the lookout for this flesh golem. If we are able it would be best to stay close enough that we can regroup quickly." Maruck says as he readies his bow to fire as soon as was needed.
Wendy seldomly peaks from behind Minda’s back, trying to see the pathway ahead. “Should one of us go ahead and scout before others go in”, he whispers softly
You head down the left hand passageway - it’s a long hallway, and the air feels still and heavy. There’s no noise but your breath and the sound of your feet on the sandy stone floor. Halfway down, the group pauses to determine who will scout ahead.
Who ever is scouting ahead - please roll me a stealth and a perception check
Due to his enhanced dsrkvision and the fact he is invisible to any creature that relies on it, Maruck will stop the group so thst he can go ahead. "I will return momentarily."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Maruck sneaks up to the room, but his foot catches against the dry bones of a long-dead creature - some kind of small beak - and sends it skittering a few inches - but far enough to draw the attention of the two creatures in the room.
The floating creatures in the room.
They look like brains without a body - just long barbed tentacles that hang beneath, and as they spin round, Maruck’s eyes spot the shape of a much larger beak, sharp and curved like a hawk’s.
Everyone: please roll initiative. The rest of the party is 30ft behind Maruck.
Taj's looks at the other two kobolds, the goblin and the orc, judging arm spans of each. "Looks like Minda goes first", she says helpfully.

Ruvlo takes a look around.

Maruck will move to the side in an attempt to help with the ambush they are trying to set up, keeps his eyes out for anything out of the ordinary.

Ruvlo nods as he stays close to the party (placing himself in last for marching order if necessary.) He occasionally looks behind them, just in case.

Minda whispers back, "Yes" and steps to the side.
