Skip would continue to keep a close eye on Yessica, not jumping to any conclusions since she has seemed very nice so far. A couple of times as they have traveled he would look to Tibby and Jaeson as though he was going to say something before shaking his head and changing his mind.
"have not seen that before..." bree says with amusement as she checks out the wagon. "We going to give her a hand or lay around here all day?" She asks, getting up and starting down towards the battle below. She heads down and, after 30 feet, casts mold earth digging a hole close to her and depositing the dirt so she can hide behind it for cover.
"Do you have my book?" He waits patiently for Gawain to fish it from his pack. The tome is made of leather, and is singed and soot-covered but otherwise intact. Daishi sighs and reaches for it. "I never wanted to go down this road."
Gawain nods.
In the privacy of his room, the knight sets the book upon a table and opens it. There are words of magic within, and he begins to cast.
An owl appears, a celestial being that perches upon the desk and then at a mental command from Daishi lands on his glove like a trained bird of prey. Good girl, he thinks. We'll hunt soon.
Noa followed suit and moved to a flanking position opposite of Perzy'S. He whispered to Bree that she should provide a distraction or at least screw with the Bugbear's footing while Perzy'S did his best work while he would provide the unexpected protector should the Bugbear or anyone try to venture close.
"Find a vantage point and keep firing. I'll keep anyone else from getting close to you or Bree. If you need me to help out..." Noa drew a dart from his waist and grinned. "I'm pretty handy with these."
As Perzy'S and Noa creep forward and Bree makes dirt walls of hiding the action down below takes a dramatic turn. The woman rushes forward engage the bugbear who swings a nasty looking morningstar, striking her shoulder with a thunk. A wound that would have floored most people. Instead of buckling, she makes an amazing move you have never seen before, she strikes with both swords at the same time. One sword hits at an upward angle from the bug bear's ribs to his collar bone and the other strikes toward from the sternum towards his pelvis. It's a brutal and devastating attack, when viewed from your perspective looks like the letter v. The bugbear collapsed in a heap and the covered wagon top stops its movement and moves to retreat to the wagon, but stops for some reason. It will raise a little and make a few feet progress and then drop down again. You think you can see arms coming out of the portholes swinging small curved swords. When the arms withdraw the top lifts again to try and make progress. You are close enough to hear the sounds more clearly.
"Hoooop, hooah, hoop hooah...."
The woman ignores the wagon top and heads to the wagon to grab a pig from the harness.
Between Tibby's amazing bagpipe marching song and the amazingly pleasant weather, you four make supernatural progress moving through the star metal hills cut across. Yessica had gotten the feeling of being watched when they were passing near the abandoned mine, but the feeling left as quick as it went. Skip had felt a different sensation, but blew it off as being an effect from the outstanding travel music. Jaeson, was sort of caught up in his own head space and didn't notice a thing.
If Skip takes some time to ponder the feeling he felt, he will realize you have been teleported by an unknown wizard, that wizard must have been keeping watch over the mine or something and wanted to ensure 4 adventuring types didnt poke their noses where they didnt belong.
Up the road a ways you see some of the outer homes that once were part of the town. They are mostly rubble now, the barbarians you heard about seem to have done a thorough job.
It's a wonderful morning in the Neverwinter forest. You awaken to the smell of breakfast being cooked. Smells like eggs and venison hash. The nights events weigh heavily on your minds with questions of a gorging beauty/goddess and goblin/gnoll "kings" of the the forest.
Daishi's attendants help him prepare for the day, Anyll and Ash both are up and about already.

Daishi readies himself for the various conversations he will have today. He spends a few minutes to cast alarm on the main floor of the lodge, and satisfying himself that he will know what is happening inside, heads out to chop some wood for the fire.
Alarm is set to "silent", and will just ping him whenever someone new enters the area. There is no limit to how many times it will do this, and he will only cancel the spell if it becomes distracting. He pays special attention to the movement of Falcon, and will generally ignore the movement of his household.

(OOC: did I miss a post where we were told about this mine? Or is this the first we are being told about it?)
As they approached the homes, Skip would hold his spoon up to his chin, gently tapping his chin with the silver utensil while thinking aloud. "So... You know.. I got a strange feeling from that mine we passed a while back... and.. Well I think we made WAY better time that I had imagined... do... Do you think a wizard or something could have teleported us away from that place?" Skip would ask aloud... "I promise I haven't been eating any fermented berries.. yet... this morning." He would finish with a grin. "I just think there is no way we could already have made it to town and I definitely was getting some strange feelings from that mine..." He would say looking to the others.
After discussing his thoughts with his companions, the halfling would pull out the piece of paper that had the order for the recipe on it and the wanted poster. Holding the page with the recipe on top, he would look to Tibby, Jaeson, and Yessica. "Alright, so do any of you know where to find this person?Once we pick up the recipe we can divide up some of the goods I found back at the mill and figure out our next move." The plump halfling would say with a smile. "And then we can get something to eat!"
( Yessica knew there was a mine but didnt mention it as she is focused on getting to Conyberry. This is the first time mentioned.)
As you get nearer the town you see a short figure in a strange looking coat about a mile up the road. He noticed your approach ( you see a glare on the person, probably from glass of some sort) and ran deeper into the town
Kuori takes a moment to sit down on the edge of the wagon as she reaches the pigs both to watch the goblins fumble their way back up the hill and to rest the aching half of her body for a moment more before commandeering one of the beasts. Casting her gaze further up the hill, a rather curious audience seems to have gathered during her altercation. A Halfling, a Hobgoblin, and a [OOC: Noa, is your character a human? I don't remember it ever being mentioned, specifically!] walk up to a Goliath, a bunch of hogs, and a half-dozen goblins. This started to feel like a tale out of the drunkards in the tavern back in Phandalin.
"[Giant: Hail and well met, strangers.] If you would care for a bit of sport as a distraction from your travels, I've left the less impressive quarry to squabble amongst themselves. Their superior took more out of me than I predicted so I have no interest in cleaning up the mess it's left. I've claimed one of these beasts, as well, but you are free to the others. However, I have not yet had a chance to search through this wagon, so if you do deal with these stragglers, it would only be proper to divide any spoils thereof amongst the whole."
Kuori says all of this while sitting as straight up as possible, addressing those who have arrived with conduct more befitting guests in her abode as opposed to strangers arriving on a field of...well, a former battle if nothing else. After she cuts the rope to one of the pigs, she makes a tight knot around her own gauntlet to have a lead from her to the animal. Looking up from her preparations, she regards the Hobgoblin with a degree of skepticism but refrains from any further comments before she knows the trio's intent.
((He's human but I suppose we'll see if he has the balls of a giant. XD))
Noa simply looked at the goliath of a woman and shook his head in disbelief. Here he was, trying to set up a plan for a battle that was more or less over. At least she left the small fry alone for Perzy'S to shoot at if he so wished.
"Hello stranger." Noa smiled as he approached the woman.
Emerging from cover, he motioned for his comrades that it was alright and moved closer to inspect what happened.
"We thought there was a fight and someone needed help but it seems you have this one handled." He chuckled. "I am Noa Gala-Vahn and my intentions are anything but violent." He bowed.
"Nope, don't know em", tibby says not paying too much attention, "and mines have great acoustics for bad pipes, maybe we can..... ohh look the town herald must be running off to announce our coming. We better look presentable if we are going to try to sale our glowing utensils."
Tibby casts presidigitation on all the group to clean any road dirt and grime from the party.
Jaeson's eyes were drawn to the mysterious figure, just about as soon as Tibby pointed him out. "Strange looking town herald." He looks down at himself, seeing himself completely clean. "Much obliged, Tibby."

Tibby just sings and plays his bagpipes now as they walk and. Think to himself on getting rich with glowing utensils.
Perzy'S will creep down to get into bow range, careful to keep out of sight of the combatants.
