While Tibby was looking at the different books, Skip would have shown the receipt to the goblin. "Hello, While I am very interested in seeing what goods you have for sale... I was hoping you could provide me with the recipe I am here to pick up first.." The hardy halfling would say with a smile. Assuming he is given the item / recipe, Skip would study it quickly before placing it in his pack. "Let's see if I can find anything I cannot live with out... but I will be honest, I don't have much coin either. Actually.... just the other day we picked up what we thought would be an easy task to earn some quick coin for my friend over there "He would say gesturing to Jaeson. "But we won't be making any coin from that quest..." He would add with a frown. "You wouldn't happen to have anything that might be useful for a humble cook like myself would you? You mind helping me look? Skip would add with a smile.

When you make a Persuasion check or an ability check involving brewer’s supplies or cook’s utensils, you can roll one Intuition die and add the number rolled to the check.
" I prefer to conclude all business at once, good Sir, as time is the most precious commodity. If I could direct you to the shelf over there ( north side), in believe you may find something both useful and of a price you can afford" Xam says to Skip.
" And for the lady, I feel this box contains an item you just cant live without." He produces a circular box made of polished bone carved with intricate knotwork designs and hands it over to Yessica to examine.
"Thanks!" Skip would add looking to the goblin. If Skip were to overhear the conversation about the quest, The plump halfing would pipe up. "That is fine with me lad, but I think Yessica had a treasure we were supposed to look for too right? Not sure if they are in the same place though so it might be a few days before we can look into another task" The halfing would add as he heads back to the northern side and starts looking through the items there.
Yessica would chime in upon hearing her name mentioned, " Our other task is indeed in the same place, the Shrine of Savras, so we can swat two flies with one stick"
She moves up to Xam to take a look at the beautiful bone box he is holding out for her. The inscribed patterns bring her an instant feeling of comfort. When she opens the box, she sees a ring, also made of polished bone. the flat top side has scrimshaw etchings of a raven created out of intersecting spirals with an eye in the center of the image. very beautiful and delicate artisanship
Jaeson comes into the store, having waited outside in order to collect his thoughts until now. He looks around the inside of the building for the first time, with a raised eyebrow. "Hey crew, what did I miss?" He gives the shopkeep a look over, before walking over to Skip. "Sorry my chap, I just had to give something a think over." Find everything you need in here?" He gives the store another look over. "I wonder if there's anything here that could benefit me." He says, his lips pursed in thought.
" welcome young fellow of the pact. I could feel your thinking all the way over here. I am thinking there might be something of interest for you in the curtain room."
Xam points to a small room that nobody seems to have noticed before. An elegant silk curtain covers the doorway instead of a regular door and it seems a faint reddish light light eminates from behind
Anyll finished chewing, but took a moment drink some coffee before answering, "I have thought on my answer. I cannot see yesterday events as mere coincidences: I will join."
He makes another slice of toast, this time with a more generous helping to honey. An eyebrow is raised slightly as he states, "Although... I cannot help but wonder that this request is. Some knightly errand?" His mouth curled into a small smile.

"I'm sorry, did you just say Ice Spire and a dragon lord?" Noa asked in disbelief. "You have your work cut out for you it seems."
Noa watched intently as Bree saw to make them a feast. He was understably wary of the finished product until the halfling took a bite from her product before eating. The goblins steered clear of them as much as they could and he wasn't entirely surprised as his hobgoblin companion kept them in line. Apparently the fear of a painful death was enough to keep the troublemakers disciplined.
"She put lantern oil in the food last time she cooked. This is actually one of her masterpieces."
After the meal, the wagon was already packed and ready to move. Noa had considered the information from Perzy'S and concluded the same with his companion. Hitting a divided force would be more efficient than tackling a horde head on.
"We should get moving then. Strike at the enemy's outstretched arm and we take away a limb that can hold a weapon." Noa said as he climbed aboard the wagon and took on the task of driving their new transport. "Perzy'S, we'll be counting on your guidance for this part. Just point us in the right direction."
Animal Handling...13
((@DM I'm not sure if driving a carriage/wagon required an animal handling check but there it is.))
After a few minutes pause and welcoming Anyll and Ash to the table, Flacon continued his explanation of the alternate quest.
" my best hunting dog was killed on my last attempt to bring down the beast I am currently hunting. I cremated him and would appreciate it if you could take it the Shrine of Savras and place it on the altar for me. The Shrine has been long abandoned since the people of Conyberry were slaughtered long ago, but my family has used it for 5 generations at least, and I dont want to let a little thing like an abandoned shrine put an end to the tradition. I am certain Savras still receives souls and gifts at the consecrated altar, regardless of is occupancy status. Now as to your now deceased Gnoll and Goblin friend. I believe I know what they were jabbering about...the 'Gorging beauty's, Haha. "
Falcon heads to the library and returns with an old book of forest lore. Several months ago, the goblin was traipsing around claiming to be a ranger and accomplished hunter, so invited him to the lodge for some drinks and some chat. He got interested in this book as he was telling me the most fantastic and crazy stories that were obviously minotaur dung. Before the end of the night he was drawing a copy of this page right here that caught his fancy."
Falcon opens the book and points to a picture of the Goddess of the woods, bestowing crowns on two peoples heads. One of the people was poorly drawn and sort of had a goblin type look about it, but was obviously a human. The description of the illustration underneath said " and the Goddess, a Gorgeous beauty of the woods, crowned the two kings, making them lord's of the forest..."
( animal handling would only be an issue if trouble came up and you needed extra skill)
The goblins all filed into the wagon in a surprisingly orderly fashion. They were well groomed by the bugbear it seems. They brought one of the pigs along and set the rest free. Kuori loaded in the back of the wagon with the goblins and was surprised to find a gift made by one of the goblins for her. It is a bracelet made from the small tusks of the pig. Painstakingly cleaned and fashioned with nice string braided with some shiny pebbles at equal intervals in the braid. She. Ight notice one of the goblins redden a bit as she picks it up. Perzy'S claims next to Noa in the bow shot position ( Bree can either ride in the wagon or continue on the back of her mastiff) and they head off to Conyberry. After traveling for about 4 hours and as the sun sets, the weather starts to turn and a fog seems to roll into the town of Conyberry. The Shrine is past the town a short distance towards the hills so you decide it would be good to camp in one of the buildings to keep out of sight and maybe scout the shrine to come up with a plan of action. Then you could possibly hit them early light when they are not fully awake and possibly drunk
Jaeson looks over at the silk curtain, and wondered how he hadn't seen it before. He looks at Xam with cautious look, before walking over to the curtain. Parting it, he steps inside the curtain room, looking for the source of the reddish light, and what inside it might be of interest to him.
Inside the small room are stacks of papers, tubes of scrolls and random bubbles, trinkets and curiosities. You follow your instincts and seek out the source of the red glow. You find a small wood box containing an amulet with a dark crystal of some sort. You feel at home when holding it. In the bottom of the box is a small note written on a piece of thin leather that disturbingly looks like human skin. The note has your name on it
" Jaeson, fear not. Your destiny has yet to be revealed and your power has not yet fully manifested itself. Be patient, have courage and practice. This amulet will aid you in your exploration of the power possible within our pact"
After rooting through the various trinkets within the room, Jaeson happens across the box. He has to get a feel for the thin layer of leather before he can be appropriately disturbed in discovering that it is human skin. He mouths his own name as he reads it, a pit growing in his stomach. Peaking behind him for a moment, a tad unnerved, he tries opening the box...
Skip would make his way to the area of the shop indicated by the goblin. He would keep one hand on his spoon and use the other to pick up and examine a few items of interest.

Daishi Longguard - DAY - Falcon's Lodge
"You have steered me well thus far. What more are you asking?" Daishi settles back in his seat and watches Falcon carefully.
Daishi files this away in his mind. Now that is interesting. Who does he work for, or does he mean a higher power?
"Anyll," he says while still watching Falcon. "I asked you last night if you would join me. Have you thought of your answer?"
(ooc: go for it, accept the mission)
