When Tallanvor gets a chance, he pulls Humboldt off to the side. "A brave display o' skills back there, my friend that were." He says with a probing tone. "I do think ye' scared the halfling boy with yer....errr.... actions."
He pauses for a moment to collect his thoughts
"Do ye think it be so.... necessary.... t' .... eat the face off a man? I reckon taking 'im down is well enough at that, don' you? Perhaps if ye get the urge t' merge with the wolf form again hunt and feast upon flesh, t'would be best to go fer a deer. And out o' sight o the boy"
He goes on to explain the wolf dream (Tel'aran'rhiod) in great detail. And how those people like himself, with golden eyes, can speak with wolves. They are very rare and he's only ever heard of one other man who can do so. But that man let the wolf dream consume him. He went feral, turned into a wolf himself. He seemed to become a wild animal and the villagers caged him not knowing what to do. He knows that Humboldt seems to be well in control of himself in the wolf form. But Tallanvor himself fears letting the wolf dream and the urges of the primal overpower his own mind.
The party heads back to the tavern where they had stayed the previous night, pays for dinner and 4 rooms, and takes a long rest.
After dinner Ro knocks on Tallanvor's door and then takes a big step back so she won't have to crane her neck so far back to speak to Tally.
"Before we is going to bed can you please be telling tell me what is the void? I think I is finding found it by accident when we is fighting in Sleeping Giant maybe"
She sits on the tallest horizontal surface she can find and listens fiddles with the cave rock while he answers. She had hoped to ask about what a SwordMaster is but by the time they're done talking about the void she realizes she's too tired to keep so she calls it a night.
Tallanvor explains all that he can about the void and how it might be achieved.
"The void do be the name we call the state o mind ye must achieve to control all o' yer emotions. But it do be within the void that ye can touch the true source, Sai'din. It do be possible in some cases t' control Sai'din during moments of raw emotion. That be what happened to ye during the fight when they attacked yer friend Twiglet. But to capture the full true power of the source, ye' must learn to control it."
He goes on to explain the breathing exercises and meditation techniques that are needed. How you feed all of the emotions, pain, everything into a flame that is pictured within your mind. Once you are devoid of all of these emotions, all of the senses are heightened, while being disconnected at the same time. You are in full control of your body, rage, anger, pain exhaustion are all still there. You are aware of them, but they do not affect your decisions when you are within the void.
They practice for some time, but the ideas are foreign to the goblin. And the true source may be completely different for her. Females among his race must guide the flow of power and give up full control or be drowned in a raging river of energy. The men, however, must walk a razors edge while wrestling the current into submission and bending it to their will. For a goblin, who knows what may be in store for her battle to control the source. But seeking the void is the first step.
Just beyond the void lies the true power. Waiting to be harnessed.
Twiglet sneaks downstairs when the inn has gone quiet and dark, to sleep wedged between the large earthenware sinks and sacks of potatoes in the scullery, his blanket wrapped round his tiny body and his crossbow held to his chest. He dreams of wolves howling at a blood-red moon and wakes to find he's cocked the crossbow in his sleep
As dawn breaks, Halia sends a messenger to report what her people found out over night. The dogs tracked the fleeing pair as far as the Neverwinter Wood. Just inside they found the remains of Zeerala's bindings. It became difficult to follow the trail after that, but they did discover that the two fugitives seemed to meet with another group with several heavy footprints before they all moved further into the Wood. She also passed on what she learned after talking to Zeerala.
Before the sun is over the horizon, the party heads out for the ruined Tresendar Manor, taking a route through the southern limits of Phandalin on Halia's advice. They pass Halia's home, then follow the wall and, using the small thickets as cover, they move through the still quiet Alderleaf farm, then North until they can see the track working its way up the steep hill to the Redbrand stronghold. They can see the Manor atop the bluff, but there is no apparent movement so early in the morning.
Twiglet tells the others to stay hidden until he returns. He specifically whispers to Tallanvor to restrain himself from marching up to the front door and inviting himself in for breakfast. Then he carefully works his way up the steeply sloping ground until he has a good view of the front door, or what remains of it, his bare halfling feet quieter and more sure-footed than any boot, and his dark cloak pulled tight over his new studded armour and auburn hair.

No, it was just how the early morning shadows moved across the stonework
As you approach the manor through the thicket you spot nothing of interest. To call this place a manor does it a disservice. Back in it's prime it would have been an impressive castle, however today it is ruins. Twiglet enters through what he believes to have been the front door finding the inside covered in bushes and sad trees. The floor is covered in rubble from the collapsed ceiling. Strangely someone has cleared a passage through which leads to a trapdoor in the ground.
Despite it's name, the trapdoor seems to be safe. Opening it you find a set of stone stairs leading down ending in a wooden door. The door opens onto a five-foot-wide landing fifteen feet above a large cellar, with stone steps descending to the floor in two short flights. Another door stands beneath the stairs to the north. A large stone cistern occupies the western part of the room, whose walls are lined with kegs and barrels.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Twiglet will quietly run point for the party, placing his feet carefully as he descends the stairs and (hopefully) with his eyes and ears peeled. He will head for the door (if its the only one) and strain to hear anything from the other side
Twiglet notices scratches on the floor near one of the walls, that look like something has moved over the same spot repeatedly. Looking closer one of the bricks looks like a handle. There is also a rope tied below the surface of the water in the cistern, which ends in a sack. Another door can be seen in the corner. Twiglet checks both doors, the one under the stairs does not have any noises behind it. The other door however has three voices behind it talking about the missing Redbrands.
Roars pulls up the satchel hidden in the cistern which is waterproof and contains a potion of healing, a potion of invisibility, 50 gp, and a clean set of ordinary travel clothing.
....then, using primitive signs in full view for all to see, he points to the door under the stairs and shakes his head, points to the door in the corner and holds up three finger and, finally, points to the area of wall with the loose brick and mimes using a door handle and a door swinging open using his forearm. Just to make sure, he beckons the party over to the door in the corner then stands against the wall, next to it with his dagger out, so it is obvious that they should form up to break in.
Humblodt signals Twiglet to wait a moment. He takes a small flask from a pocket, along with what appear to be some ashes from a burned leaf and a sprig of spruce. He mixes the dark, sticky liquid from the flask with the ashes, then using the spruce as a brush, spreads it around the group's feet, muttering a quiet incantation.

While the others gather round the corner door, Twiglet creeps across to the door under the stairs, marvelling and the velvet feel of his feet. It's mildly disconcerting to NOT hear his own soft padding. He eases open the door enough to peek inside. If it is clear, he will briefly search the room to report what kind of place it is, further doors etc. There's no time for any searches for valuables
Thick dust covers the flagstones of this somber hallway. The walls are decorated with faux columns every ten feet, and the double doors at the west end of the hall are sheathed in copper plate, now green with age. A relief carving of a mournful angel graces the doors.

Ro isn't a morning person though. She stumbles on some gravel, sending a fistful of it skittering noisily down the road.
