Tallanvor wants to check out the Sleeping Giant. He's always liked checking out new establishements. He wants to grap a drink drink and typically finds himself chatting with one or another. He's heard that's where the redbrands hang out, but he's a nice enough guy. He's not necessarily trying to learn anything, though. He's hoping to catch Twiglet or Ro before retiring this evening and they were heading over there. Hopefully they aren't getting themselves into too much trouble.
He's got a crossbow that he's never been too good with that he'd like to give to Twiglet. The boy showed promise with the weapon. It's well made and was a gift from the weapons master back at the palace in Illian before Tallanvor was cast out. The gift was well intended, but the man should have known he'd be a lumbering bafoon trying to aim the thing in his heavy armor. The light will do if he needs to attack at range.
He'd like to show Ro more about seeking the void. A bag of emotions that one. He recalls how angry he could get in his youth when fights weren't going his way and how easy it is to loose the void. It's going to take some work.
He heads in the door and it's immediately apparent that he isn't welcome there as the music stops, the chairs all squeak on the floor as people turn to look at him. After a moment of silence, someone coughs.
He puts on a winning smile. "You seem like a friendly lot, who's up for a drink. First rounds on me"

By the looks on their faces, that may have come out a bit more sarcastic than he intended. It's been a long day.
Humblodt watches Tallanvor amble into the Sleeping Giant. "Now what?", he wonders to himself, picking himself up from where he had been discretely observing from under a tree opposite the inn.
One of the thugs spits on the ground. “Well, well,” he snarls. “Seems we have a friendly new arrival. Why don't you drop your coin purse and any weapons you have on the bar and Grisa can get your round.” The rest of the redbrands drunkenly laugh. Some stand up and try to look intimidating.
"Be 'appy to leave my weapons, as long as they are in sight, barkeep. Not like to part with m' coin purse so easily" he unhooks it from his belt and gives it a shake. With nearly 500 coins of various types, it gives a familiar, though very full, jingle.
"But if ye'd rather I spend m' lot somewhere else, I'd be happy t' go on down to the Stonehill" He waits for the bartender's response holding the full purse out in front of himself.
Tallanvor isn't sure of the redbrands' intentions, but they are all smiling now that he has draw out his coin purse. If they do attack him, he suspect that the dwarf behind the bar will probably be no help.
Tallanvor doesn't feel like walking all the way back to Stonehill just for a drink. He saunters up to the bar and places his mace, short sword, crossbow, net, manacles and shield in a heap. The shield starts to slide off the lot, so he places it on the floor and heads back to the center of the bar. Hoping not to get bludgeoned in the back of the head, he orders a round for the group.
Grisa just grunts and pulls 7 pints for Tallanvor and the Redbrands. The talkative one says "Now, let's have a chat about your options here. The boss don't want no out of towners around, 'specially no adventurers. But saying as you were so kind as to buy us drinks, you can leave Pandalin and never return. We'll even let you keep your coin. Or we can do this the hard way if you prefer?" Tallanvor gets a feeling the Redbrands would prefer the hard way

Ro can't see Tallanvor but but she spots his shield just an unseen hand removes it from the bar and places it somewhere out of sight.
She can see Twiglet though and so, making a snap decision, she eases the back door open and slides along the wall into the main room to get next to him so she can hand over his weapons.

The tavern is suddenly illuminated with violently violet flickering lighting, like a bad 80's disco. Those Redbrands unable to perform sufficiently funky moves, aka DC13 Dex saving throws, find themselves glowing like they are wearing white shirts in said disco lighting.
Incidentally, the bottles of drink behind the bar now look distractinglypreeettttyyy....
On his turn, Humblodt will cast faerie fire He also casts shillelagh as a bonus action.

Ro doesn't know any of this is happening. No news is good news, so she scratches her name into the wall with a dagger to pass the time.

Grisa the barkeep just gives a grunt, her face remaining unchained, but there is a greedy light in her eyes.
Tallanvor scans the room to see if they will be outwardly hostile or attack him.

"Nice place ye got 'ere."
Tallanvor waits for the drinks to arrive with tension you could cut with butter. He idly pulls out the three coins and begins to juggle them

One of them falls to the floor, so he bends over to pick it up and knocks over a chair.
He laughs nervously as he rights the chair.
"So errrr... What would y' say ye do around here, boys?"

Ro is starting to wonder what's taking so long. She tries to discreetly peek through a window to see what's going on.
