A peek at the books and scrolls reveals handwritten scribbles and writing, a few scrolls and a few pages are ruined due to the slime. A quick flip through the books shows writing that goes from very clean and neat to scratching writing. Gotch need better lightning then this dark basement to read it better due to the darkly stained pages and the black ink.

Resfaen will wait at the bottom of the stairs and looks around with quick movements of her head from side to side as if she continues to see something horrific lurking at just the periphery of her vision.
Gotch packs away the books and scrolls before he looks around the basement but it's pretty barren beside the huge slime pile and desk. Even lacking holders for torches or light to light the room beside evidence of old candles on the desk.
Onyx requires some assistance as he sorts through the large pile of slime as the core differs very slight from the rest of the body but after some time, he finds the core and grabs the collection tools from Gotch and even a few slashes from his scimitar is needed as someone else holds the core to separate it from the pile but is otherwise is successful, part due to the size making it's less surgeon precision and more brute force needed. Add One Elder Oblex core to inventory (it's a 2ft round ball of slime, it closer to almost rubber in consistency).
Note: unlike Flameskull Teeth, the core has a shelf life of a few months before it degrades to unusable state without proper precautions are taken. It can be used in production of Rare Grade compatible magic items.
Without anything of note in the basement, the party returns outside where they seem to be more "light" which Gotch can easier read the books. The first part of the book and majority seem to numbers and figures you would find from balancing books of a farm. In latter quarter, Gotch finds different handwriting and it become more like a journal of sorts. The scrolls are mostly order formed expect one which Gotch finds to his delight, a spell scroll for Glyph Of Warding
First part which seem to be someone came to the farmhouse for shelter.
I do not know how I came to this place but I have taken shelters in this farm. The occupants appear to have abandoned it. The house is a awful state but I have covers the windows and doors as best as I find as I try to figure out where I have come to. I rwrite this either as a log of my journey to refer to later or a testament to those to find it.
He goes into his attempt to explore using the farmhouse as a base and his observations. Outsiders creates the islands based what they can see. Creatures native do not.
I have made three ventures into this world. Which I am able to see is which is reveal of this palce. I believe the world exist waiting to be exposed by those who are able to see it rather than coming into existence. I believe this is a useful note to hide from the dangers of this place as they will reveal what they see as well.
I have disproved my theory that what part of the world is exposed is what other see. I believe denizens native to this plane do not either see or do not expose what they see in this place. While exposed islands also reveal presence of creatures, I believe these creaures are like me who came from beyond this place and those born here are bound to this.
The writing become more erratic as he seem to be come paranoid as he talks about apporaching monsters and how the light source scares them.
Crafted some basics alarms for natives but I know they're approach the house, scratching at the boards. They don't trip the bells but they like moving the scarecrows closer, They're tormenting me. I just know it but I'll be ready for them. I'll will strike when they less suspect it. I know the sun of this world scare them away I know it.
Last part he writes about approaching people that are slowly coming but there's where the entries end.
I've seen strangers but outsiders like me, They wear cloaks to hide but I see them. They're coming to me easily but surely, They must know how to get out. They must, I'll meet them when they come to the house. Maybe we'll have tea and a chat, It's strange they seem to be missing eye each and are one armed, Doesn't matter, it's a dangerous world. I know they'll can bring take me out of this place.

Salys reads through the journal and looks at the others glumly, "Well, at least we know what we have to look forward to. Madness and death in this inescapable realm of darkness."
Looking into the distance, number of 'islands' has reduced since everyone entered and explored the house. The ball of white that seem to create what passes for light in this plane seem to have dimmed as well.
Nearest islands are:
Unmoving island made of a cluster of small islands upon prolonged observation
Another moving island but this one remains a solid island as it moves
An unmoving small island through what can be see, this one seem to be higher in the sky
The moving set of islands that split and reformed seem to be missing now.

Del crosses his arms. “I think we should leave the moving one alone. If we do something that makes it stop moving, it could tip off an unwanted observer. Let’s go to the broken set. If it disappears, it may be assumed it’s simply unstable.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Setting off towards the unmoving island takes a few hours but getting within view, the party finds all the small islands are grazing animals just eating what looks grass without a care to their environments.

Resfaen follows along behind the group, constantly looking around and jumping at the littlest of noises. When the group gets closer to the island and they notice the smaller ones are actually some kind of animal, she stops and refuses to get any closer to them, moving the long way around them as the group continues to walk.
Note, much of the party is getting tried from the treks which have not been short. the Lder Oblex Core is too large to fit inside a backpack but can be wrapped and hanging from backpack.
If the party wishes to continue exploring, while travelling another island in the distance appeared from behind the 'sun'. This new island is largest yet and even from this distance, it apparent to be a giant or some kind.
Other islands nearby are:

Resfaen continues to be on edge and is easily spooked by any noise. She does not relish the idea of spending the night out in the open in a place like this but she is also hesitant about doing any other exploring as well. "Maybe a rest will do us some good, just as long as we find a safe place to rest." She hesitantly says to the group.
