Seeing that the others are surrounding the warforged Carric lets the tentacle fail again before his hand is once again filled with seawater that becomes a blast of eldritch energy.
Mechanics
BA: Grasp of the deep: 6 cold damage

Doing attack roll for grasp of the deep, 9, 22Did the previous roll based off Shocking grasp instead of spell modifier.
(No change to positions.)
Drix fires another shot, although missing, it punches through the car's side doors. And the guard is whaled on again as it tries to block the attacks, absorbing blows from both Faereth and Halt. Halt almost manages to pierce through but the guard manages to bring his arm up to parry the rapier. Lotara was the only one to land a solid blow upon the warforged as she hits him in the abdomen, causing it to stagger a bit.
(If players want to post their actions preemptively, they can. But to answer what the captive is doing, he's asking to join in on the fight.)
(last in initiative but no one has posted - hopefully nothing changes too much)
Canavar finally succumbs to his aggravation at missing the fight to hold an armless warforged. He releases his grapple and lifts his greataxe towards the head as he moves towards the attacker. Rage overtakes him as he recklessly swings.
Attack: Attack: 24 Damage: 17 plus 6 necrotic damage.
Bonus action: rage
Action: attack with Reckless Attack: When you make your first attack on your turn, you can decide to attack recklessly, giving you advantage on melee weapon attack rolls using STR during this turn, but attack rolls against you have advantage until your next turn.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Botting Drix and Halt)
Attack: 18 Damage: 22
Attack: 16 Damage: 3
Attack: 9 Damage: 5
(I hate rolling against myself, why do I do good.)
As Faereth strikes the guard's back, it turns back and tries to retaliate.
Attack: 9 Damage: 12
Drix's third shot lands hard as it pierces through its shoulder. And Lotara follows up with a quick strike as she falls back. Halt's rapier couldn't get through this time but shoots another bolt into the large guard. And just as Canavar lets go of the captive, he looks to his arms around Canavar's neck. He was about to say something but stops as he sees Canavar charge. Lift his greataxe and almost almost cleaves into the guard's midsection. And without taking it out, Canavar's axe sparks black mist as the guard's wound starts to blacken. A second passes, but the guard doesn't fall. Even when Canavar pulls back his axe, he remains motionless.

(Any sort of knowledge check to know about the black mist coming out. Is it normal for this sort of construct, or does it look like something else is at play?)
If required, though she is terrible at knowing these things:
(If we're out of initiative rounds, not sure if we are or not, Faereth would like to use her Divine Sense to see if there is anything unhallowed about this mist.)
Divine Sense
The presence of strong evil registers on your senses like a noxious odor, and powerful good rings like heavenly music in your ears. As an action, you can open your awareness to detect such forces. Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet of you that is not behind total cover. You know the type (celestial, fiend, or undead) of any being whose presence you sense, but not its identity (the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich, for instance). Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the hallow spell.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to 1 + your Charisma modifier. When you finish a long rest, you regain all expended uses.
It doesn't seem the warforged is exactly dead. Upon closer inspection, you can hear a faint humming in the guard. And his wounds seem to be repairing themselves very slowly.
The captive warforged nods at the entrance of the car, "Top of there and he ain't dead yet. But he'll be out for a while, now can you hand back my arms." He sighs, "And no, that ain't the corruption. Just a warforged that can't think for itself. The noble he described sounded like a Cannith heir...strange though, none but warforged can be infected."
Faereth will inspect the warforged that attacked her. If it can have its arms/legs disabled or removed like this captive one it would stop it from attacking them again as soon as its self-repair systems are completed.
Canavar blinks as his rage subsides and looks around. His gaze settles on Drix. "Oh uh, sorry boss." He quickly pushes through people to resume his hold on the armless warforged.

Faereth checks on the still warforged but cannot find any way to take off its limbs with ease. The armless warforged backs up as Canavar approaches and picks him up. "...Do you still think I'm your target? If you do, feel free to check my arms for an armblade. I cannot have any since those are prosthetics and even if I wanted one, I'd have to have a whole new prosthetic." The armless warforged sighs.
Drix puts a foot on a crate to get a leg up and pulls down the box the captive warforge noted. He gives the box a heft then tosses it to Canavar. "I don't care what arms you don't have right now. You're a warforge wearing clothing and apparently caring precious cargo. Precious enough for a random warforge to attack five heavily armed people to get it. So half a description and something certainly worth more than your bounty still has you pegged. Canavar, crack that thing open and see what is in there. I'm going to deal with this guy."
The bounty hunter approaches the still warforge and gives it a look up and down. He settles on a point of weakness and pulls a short sword from under his cloak. The point of the blade wedges into the joint between the neck and chest plates poised to drive down into whatever seems to still be active in the warforge...
((Opportunity to stop him from stabbing down and ending the threat if anyone wants it.))
Carric begins walking forward but then sees what Drix is doing and stutter-steps for a second. "Maybe don't kill him yet. I for one would like a little more information, especially about his master. Hold it at the ready, surely, but maybe let's not get lethal yet. Here, I'll help." He dismisses his blade and then walks up and holds his hand up next to another weak point in the armour that he sees. "If I summon the blade back it will immediately pierce his side. Should be a good deterrent."

Did the other members of staff hang around for this commotion? If so Faereth would approach them next to inform them about how that warforged attacked passengers unprovoked (such as herself) and it should be detained.
(Assuming the captive warforged isn't doing anything..)
Canavar maintains his grapple, muttering insults about being a babysitter.

Moving up by Drix and Carric "Certainly there is no need for such extreme measures. We can restrain him now before he wakes."
