The team focus their efforts on the tome detailing the Harrier. Figuring that Oswin would have an easier time making sense of the book, they pass it to him. Its contents are a large number of schematics, notes, use logs, and repair protocols. Despite his unfamiliarity with the the archaic writing style, he is able to easily decipher it and put it into lay terms. Considering its condition, the Harrier just needed a bit of minor maintenance. Mostly replacement of a some small parts, while not common, are still very similar to current parts. There are also some faded runes on it weapons that could be refreshed. Some of the more complex mechanisms will require some periodic upkeep (250g a month).
It also details some other features that could be shared from other models such as communication, object location, and a magical barrier. As well as some notes that refer to a failed test regarding "pilotless flight."
Looking at the tomes, Nessarian seems to be thinking out loud, "I count only five... Is there a sixth somewhere?" He picks up the Gyrfalcon manual and flips through the notes to find more about it.
After a while he starts looking around the area where the suit of armor appeared from.
Lia would 'help' with any work being done on the harrier. She would note the wizard heading off towards where the armored robot came from, but would be too caught up in fixing the construct in front of them to follow. Also casting guidance again on whomever is actually working on the construct, if we are going that route.
For repairing the Harrier, I will need a collective roll from your choice of arcana, history, and sleight of hand. These will determine how long it will take.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gulgus
Gulgus isn't exactly sure WHAT he is doing but with some pointing and nudging from Lia and Oswin, he does what he can to aid them in repairing the Harrier.
(Oswin already took Lia's help, so her roll will not be counted)
Gulgus' 15 + Oswin's 23 + Alden's 13 (Using only sleight of hand, since he mentioned using the mage hand to for intricate work) = 51 total
Oswin, with Lia's help, replace magical conduits, while making sure there aren't any.
Gulgus follows instructions, making sure the small parts are securely in place.
Alden tries to do multiple things at once, but struggles on most, except for small parts installation.
After several hours of hard work, the Harrier is restored to what they are reasonably sure is full-working condition (Stat block will be posted on campaign info page). Despite the hours of work, they are merely winded.
Nessarian's attention was divided between his investigation of the floor and the party's efforts renovate the vehicle. When they were finished he takes the time to look over the Harrier.
"Quite a frightening amount of magical and destructive potential in that artifice. I wonder why this project was stopped. The rest of the facility seems to be intact, more or less."
"Considering that the robot came from the under the floor, it must mean this entire facility might be much larger than we realize. We just need to locate the mechanism that would allow us access."
(Also totally forgot about this part)
After getting some hands-on experience trying to make a craft air-worthy, Oswin is getting some ideas on how to give his own creation flight. Although it may involve making it lighter in order for it to happen, but some other augmentation could mitigate a lowered defense.
After a while of fruitless searching with his own eyes, Nessarian furrows his brows and takes out a second wand. This one with a small glass bubble in the middle of it. After giving it a small flick. After engaging it, he starts following an unseen line that seems to zig and zag towards one of the walls. He stops a particular portion and observes it for a moment. He then touches a small box attached to the wall which causes a larger box to rise from the ground near to him. A side of it opens up to reveal it to be a small chamber of some sort.
Before they go into the new chamber, Lia and Gulgus get worried about being surprised by anything following them. Gulgus looks to try to find any sort of way to close it up. It takes him a while, but he eventually finds a protruding box with a red circle. Upon touching the circle, the large doors begin sideways, toward each other.
They come together with a sounding thud, leaving a some very small gaps, letting in pinhole sized-beams of sunlight from the outside.
Not long after, Cree's voice is heard, "Y'all okay in there...? I was feeding Scath and next thing I know the thing was closing!"
Gulgus
Gulgus passes Lia the book she pointed toward hoping she makes more sense of all this than he does.
Gulgus Stormbrew - Dwarf, Druid (5), Circle of the Shepherd - Dreams Into Journey
Lia finds Oswin and shows him the book on the construct. She 'helps' him as he looks through it, and will cast guidance on him.
Oswin arcana or investigation, same modifier: 21 + 3
Alden
Alden will just nod at Lia's response. He will scan the room once more for any new threats since he is not too tech savvy.

Oswin spends his time looking through the schematics and comparing it to SD's, trying to work out how likely he'd be to be able to make SD fly...

Any hard to reach places and the like Alden will use Mage Hand to do what is needed.

"Before we go anywhere else, do you think we should close the large doors to outside?" Lia asks as she eyes the strange chamber.

"Good idea. Coverin' me arse be always preferabl!" Balgrim agrees. He looks for the mechanism that closes the door and gives it a try.
