Gulgus, a bit disconcerted by the falling platform, squeezes his way out of the doors ahead of the rest of the group. With a hint of anxiety on his face he runs his fingers through his old white hair. Looking up he catches the glare of the rest of the group and gives an awkward grin. As he turns and takes in the rest of the room he gives a whistle. "Good news! I dinna see any metal wolves tae bite me in me arse again!" He reaches up pets the weasel that adorns his shoulder as the jackal and giant hyena come to rest on either side of him. The jackal gives a yip and Gulgus looks at him with a frown and says, "Ye may have found it tae be a fun trip down, but it made ME a wee bit nervous is all."
"Well this is something..." Lia says with a frown, stepping off of the moving floor. She looks around as she moves towards the equipment and the chest.
Renata steps out the platform. She cast light on her staff to get a better look, as the bright light fills the dark room, she curiously walks towards the bookshelves and cabinets on the east wall, just looking through what's in them.
Gulgus meanders over to where the books are on the floor giving them just a casual glance. He then looks up at the barred door remarking, "What do ye reckon be barred behind those doors?"
"Not sure..." Kysdiane calls to Gulgus as he walks to the opposite side of the room and takes a closer look at the unbarred door on the north side of the room, "Think we should split up or stay together?" He asks the group as he pushes gently against the door to see if it is barred or locked.

"Stay together." Lia says over her shoulder as she looks over the chest a bit closer. At the mention of the barred door. "It's barred on this side, so is it meant to keep whatever is in there locked away? Almost as if it is meant to keep something trapped inside..."
"Well, I don't think that we should let whatever it is out then... Maybe we check behind this door?" Kysdiane says gesturing to the door in front of him.

With the barred door in their sights, the party decide to keep together and investigate the immediate vicinity.
Lia quickly gravitates toward the small chest by the equipment. But a mention from Gulgus redirects her to the door. Upon examination, she sees that the door is not particularly strong. If the bar wasn't there, it would take a small amount of effort, but even a person of average strength could move it. So, a monster should have no trouble getting through.
Renata is drawn to the bookshelves and leafs through a few of them. Many of them are procedure manuals, incident reports. In the cabinets are vials of minerals.
Kysdiane turns his attention to the opposite door, which reveals a long, 10ft-wide corridor, with doors lining each side. He can tell it is, at the very least, 60 feet long.
Anticipating some trouble, Aria conjures a large lupine to help defend themselves. Almost immediately, it starts growling as it start scratching at the floor.
Glancing to the small chest she was going to check out, Lia shrugs and moves to join the others by the hall discovered behind the door. "Shall we?" She asks.
Renata nods and follows Lia down the hall. "Did your wolf sense something? It looks quite unsettled. I heard canidae are more sensitive of fiends, or undead around us..." She asks Avia. She keeps light on her staff to illuminate the way before them.
"Let's check to be certain," Kysdiane says as he steps into the long hallway. He takes a moment to focus on his heritage and concentrates on the presence of any celestial, fiend, or undead that may be nearby (within 60 feet).
(OOC: Kysdiane is using Divine Sense to sense the presence of any extraplanar creatures.)
The presence of something that alerted the conjured wolf also put the rest of the party on edge. Feeling whatever it is has priority, they start a search down the north hall, with Renata giving some much needed light. As this happens, Kysdiane opens his divine senses. He does not detect anything on this floor that would suggests a inter-planar creature is nearby.
As they move down the hall, they see a number of doors that have fallen off of their hinges, allowing them to see inside. Most are work spaces with a number of workbenches with partially completed mechanisms and abandoned tools, others are supply closets. There is a closed door in the very back, some 150 feet from the door they came from .
Gulgus follows with his furry menagerie at a safe distance towards the rear of the group as they make their way down the hall. He would like to avoid melee range if he can help it should the situation arise again. He calmly talks to his animal friends in a low whisper keeping them at ease but alert as they progress.
He casts Produce Flame as a light held in his palm to aid those nearby without his Darkvision.
Gulgus quickly (and obviously) feigns as though he didn't hear the call for a volunteer. He looks up at the ceiling and down at the floor as though he is preoccupied with checking out the surroundings.
"Better to be cautious." Renata says. She takes her shield off her shoulder, straps it around her arm, before she steps forwards and pushes open the door (is it locked?).
After some mild trepidation, Renata steps up to open the furthest door. With the hinges giving a low groan, and just on the other side is the clattering of dry, crumbling wood. As if something was against it, a long time ago. With some more effort, she is able to see, and eventually, into the room beyond. A large number of upended, disintegrating furniture scattered throughout an 80ft by 60 foot room. A number of bones can be found peeking behind some of the furniture in the back corners.

"Bones, what happened here?" Avia investigates the room, inspecting the bones, trying to see what species it was from. She also tries to see if there is anything on the furniture that can give her a clue to when it was made. She then hands one of the bones to the wolf.

Kysdian unhooks his flail from his belt and enters the room very cautiously. As he approaches, he looks around to make sure that none of the bones are moving. He will also take note of any other exits to this room than the one that they came in through.

"I agree, there is no reason to needlessly throw ourselves into danger, no?" She then notices Gulgus's pets "I suppose I need to walk my pets."
She brings out a little bag and throws a ball of thread onto the ground.
