The evening starts off slow, the guild's tavern humming with songs and stories. A rare chance that the board is empty of requests and offers, so the adventurers there take to ale and nostalgia. Telling newer adventurers of their deeds and their victories. It is almost peaceful until the sound of thunder pierces through the calm atmosphere. And at the source of the sound, lies a half-elf. In a worn sailor's duds, he clears his throat as he lets magic amplifies his voice to booming volumes.
"Hear ye, veterans and beginners alike, I seek a crew to help me find a treasure in the untamed frontiers of Q'barra. Where the ancient civilizations hold treasure beyond their knowledge, only to be lost to the depths of time. But I know of way, to find and take claim of their treasures. I only need help to survive such a treacherous path, with the savage beasts, cruel nature, and its native 'scales'. I'm a generous man, I'll be sure to give all that participate a cut of the treasure. If not for treasure, then to test yourself against the rigors of nature. But I'm ahead of myself, I've yet to make an official notice for such an offer."
As he says that, one of the attendants hurries to him, to which he passes a slip of paper. "I apologize for the interruption, but I merely wanted to inform you all."
A goliath starts to chuckle as he goes to the half-elf. He towers over the half-elf as he grins down at him, "We're adventurers lad, not babysitters. How about you pass the map to us and maybe we'll give you a cut instead." He reaches down to the half-elf. The half-elf looks giddy as a burst of air surrounds him. Then in a blur of movement, the half-elf drew his scimitar, with its end very near the goliath's throat. "Oh please, I might not be an adventurer, but who can deny the thrill of one." The goliath backs up as the half-elf slowly moved forward, until he falls back onto the floor. The half-elf beams a smile as he sheathes his weapon, "And who can deny the allure of treasure."
Axon looks to Hari, "Q'Barra is a new nation, formed after the war. It is said to be a place of jungles and fierce beasts." he then stood and announced to the half elf man, "Axon, and I am ready to leave when you are"
Rusty will sell the scroll and buy the Dagger and Shortsword for a total of $145 out of pocket.
I am not familiar with Q'Barra, but I will facilitate any endeavor my consanguinity adjudges to be adequate of his time. My designation is Rusty, reconnaissance, stealth and elimination are my specifications. I can affirm the aptitude for Axon and the two rhapsodists, I will continue to participate in any future endeavor with this cluster.
Hari nods to herself, adding the name to her internal repertoire, and stands, crossing her arms. "I will assist your quest," the hobgoblin says with a smile. "It sounds as though it shall prove worthy of a dirge."
Kastor runs in at the last minute, "Oh, good. I thought you might have left without me. Sorry, I was searching for a particular plant for a tea. I was served it once, it was sublime, and I returned and bought flasks of it. But of course, my supply ran out and I have been trying to recreate it ever since. But I never did have a recipe for it. I have a theory of what one last ingredient was. The stem of a cornthistle, and it's common enough a plant for me to try and look for it when I get a little downtime. Apologies for my tardiness."
(More of check to see how they respond but we can say that Sylvester just accepted for both.)
"Then we shall depart tonight! I have a full crew and we've a path to treasure. For those that accepted, come with me to my ship, the Sea King!" Before the attendant can take a proper look at the man's paper, he snatches it back. He moves to the front doors, opening the other side from Kastor. "We can talk details on the way there." A cab is already waiting on the edge of the quarter. A blue-skinned woman with flowing locks in similar clothes to the man is at the helm, giving a wave to the captain.
Axon nodded and beckoned for Shepherd his iron defender to join him as he left the guildhouse and headed for the cab that the captain was being beckoned to. He adjusted his newly purchased sword, it felt weird as up to this point he had used artillery only, but in his last mission he had seen the effectiveness of close quarters combat and he wanted to experiment with his creations up close.
Sylvester follows the group with his ever present smirk, inspecting his new dagger and hoping his new armor breaks in quickly. “How did everyones last mission go? My name is Sylvester Nimble.”
The half-elf eases into the seat. He gives a groan as he stretches. "Don't know how you all stand being so clustered. I'd go crazy if I can hear this many conversations, threats, lectures, all blah blah blah. Ah, but introductions," He straightens up as he does a mock salute, "I am Kierran Maelstrom, but my crew calls me Key or Captain." He motions to the woman driving the sky cab, "The Genasi is my navigator, Coral. I'll introduce the others once we're at my galleon, but I suppose you all have questions for me?"
The diminutive Warforged steps towards the captain and others gathered. Have you had an incursion into our destination or is this intelligence acquired Second hand. What is the expected hostile fauna we can expect to encounter?
Kierran nods his head, "If you call getting chased by drake hounds a good start, then yes. Me and my crew tried the path and managed to get to the first landmark. Set camp for a bit then headed out once more. The jungle got more thick and my crew had sea legs, not meant for trekking through jungles. Made it worse as drake hounds started to harass us. To the point of them chasing us out of their territory. So to summarize, a nice pleasant walk to a stone monument then drake territory is what I know of so far."

Hari shrugs. "So it seems." The hobgoblin follows the half-elf out, looking around the airship with curiosity as she continues to plan her dirge.
