Sylvester is pulled back into the same position. And Hari only remembers last seeing the half-elf was before encountering the zombies versus the mushroom people.
(You guys probably did assume I'd just put Axon into harm's way as soon as possible. Which is correct, but it'll have to be in an encounter or somewhat. I did go over his spells to see if anything would help. But none is there to help with the depths.)
(The rope is able to reach, Sylvester can use it to pull himself out. Just need athletics check to pull him out and for him to stay on the rope. DC 10, no punishment if failed as the rope is secured.)
Nasaar nods as the rope is brought out. "Good idea." He agrees. "While you work on that I'll start casting my spell to summon forth a new familiar, this time I'll have it take a water-based form." He moves to the side and starts to cast find familiar
Hearing about their missing companion, Nasaar frowns as he looks around. "Do you think they are just hiding, as some of you did, or are they truly missing now?" He gives an anoyed shrug. "We'll ahve to try to find them on our way out, as I doubt if we want to leave the apple here without retrieving it."
(I think Rusty's +4 to Athletics and not needing to breathe underwater is our best shot of any one of us going down there, but if Nasaar can make his familiar an octopus or other such aquatic creature, that seems like the best plan. Is Kastor able to take a short rest while waiting for Nasaar to cast? It's an hour, right?
Rusty pulls the halfling from the water and pulls him up to his feet, he can sense the rogue's uneasiness but he continues to steady the halfling.
I do not require air so I can attempt to recover the artifact if our current attempt is unsuccessful. We need to affix the rope so I may be retrieved without too much struggle.
(Yes, you able to take a short rest during the casting, it is an hour. And Rusty can try in the mean time. And for time's sake, we can do it in a single roll for the hour. An Athletics check with a DC of 18 at disadvantage. The apple still outpaces you all by three fold, along with the currents being random. So while hard, not impossible.)
The Warforged can visibly see fear in Sylvesters eyes. His hand hesitates a moment before excepting Rustys help seeing no other way out of the water. He then quickly distanced himself.
Sylvester says ”Thank you” while not making eye contact
While the others go for the apple, Hari, not particularly suited to utility pursuits, makes her way over to Sylvester to ask a question that's been bothering her ever since she joined the guild. She lowers her voice to ask him her question. "Could...you explain to me what the metal people are? They are like nothing I have seen or heard of before in dirges."
(OOC: I swear this is me keeping with lore and not being an Eberron noob--there is a very valid reason why Hari doesn't recognize the warforged)
(Did Kastor want to do something during the short rest?)
While Rusty tries his best, the random currents keep him from reaching the apple. While the casting and swimming is happening, there is a slight rumble in the cave which quickly subsides.
(Never mind, I'd somehow not marked the long rest we just took on my character sheet. All I've done since then is cast a few ritual spells, so there's nothing Kastor needs to do)
Sylvester is going try to get back to the group

Rusty takes off his pack and reaches in and gets his rope, he knows his 50' will not be enough and turns to the group.
I require more cordage to attempt recovery of our team members currently amphibious. Another 50' would suffice and an additional 50' would be better.
Rusty will affix the ropes together with a square knot and attempt to throw the rope to Sylvester. He will attach a rock to weigh the end down.

(So the plan for the time being is wait for Nasaar to finish his casting then?)
As far as I am aware at least.. Nasarr has no other ideas.

Nasaar would start his ritual, working to summon his familiar this time as an octopus.
