Saralyssa goes back into her research until the feeling begins to crawl up her arms once more. Eventually they overtake her whole body as she floats in the darkness. The warm tingling of power nipping at her like fish in a pond. The darkness turns to the starry night sky. She swears she begins seeing the constellations move with her.... just out of focus though, she can’t discern any details. It seems she is still quite limited.
Moxely begins to cook in the makeshift galley kitchen as all the workers and passengers are relieved for him to be back.
William speaks to Lucky while focusing on his work. “No, lad. We are all getting out of here.... just a few modifications and we should be rolling in no time.”
The ship will fly again? That will be... amazing. Lucky looks in apprehension at the crashed airship, and considers how safe this is.
Look, when we get out of here, there's going to be trouble, right? Because there's a Great House involved. That girl, Sophie, is dead. We don't have the murderer in custody. Another member of House Lyrandar, Squall or whatever her real name was, just vanished when she touched some crystal underground. I reckon the whole thing looks weird and there's gonna be a ton of questions. He shakes his head. I don't know what I'm trying to say. Hey, is there anything I can do to help? With the ship, I mean. I think I just need to keep busy for a bit.
Tara considers for a moment, but her curiosity overcomes her knowledge of Khorvairan manners, and she tries the door handle. "Sorry to disturb you, but I think I can help. These are...rather my specialty. Well, one of them."
William responds “Yes, we will get moving soon, if you need something to do.... go ahead do an inventory check. No one has done it since,..... “. He doesn’t finish his thought to Lucky’s request.
Saralyssa spends hours within the darkness as she is awestruck by the string of galaxies and possibilities before her. Swimming through them like a fish in a current, or a researcher combing through files. She can’t interpret what she sees, but she is overcome with base emotions: Happiness, Fear, Happiness, Grief, Anger, Anger..... After hours and hours of floating she is brought back by the knocking of the door by Tara. Only really being a few moments in real time.
"If you know more about this thing then get in here..." Saralyssa says as she unlocks the door and opens it, nearly yanking the other inside. She explains the sensation she has been having as she studies the crystal.
Virnen emerges from his quarters, having spent the night meditating on the events that have unfolded. The look on his face shows that whatever innocence he had when he boarded the airship is slowly being chipped away.
"Hmmm..." Tara removes her spellshard and begins going through the notes stored on it, using them to see if she can draw any conclusions about the sensation and crystal.
Jax would make his way out of this room and immediately move towards his companions. Walking beside the warforged is what appears to be a large mechanical wolf of sorts... casually strolling along side its master. The light glowing behind the eyes of the creature is very similar to the green light beaming from the face of the warforged. "Good morning, I was able to make some modifications during last nights rest. I hope you find them useful" He would say as he opens his leather jacket to reveal a number or metal plates of faintly glowing runes attached to his chest before motioning towards the wolf. "I call him Ajax. I have designed him to be the goodest boy... as they say." Jax would add as the wolf stretches out its front legs and reveals a number of long thin razor sharp metal claws. As it does the numerous metal plates running down its back stand up a bit as though it were covered in metal spikes. "May I be help to anyone this morning?"
(Traditionally with help, it’s either on roll with advantage or each player roll regular. Since Tara roller, Saralyssa should’ve been a straight roll and not advantage. It’s fine, just for future reference)
Tara and Saralyssa piece together that this spell focus and crystal has the capability of transferring raw arcane power. Larger the size of the crystal the more power it is able to hold and release. The visions that Saralyssa (and Tara if given the opportunity) realize that all the stone are connected somehow. It’s unclear if it’s just their nature, draconic prophecy, or something else. But this with enough research and supplies could be used for just about anything. Something that any of the houses would be interested in.
It’s about this time that Jax and his new companion walk out and start asking to assist. That the group starts hearing calls from William. Setting down the sail in 5 minutes! Leaving this shit hole and anyone not on the deck behind!”
"Hmm...I conclude we should not tell anyone in the Houses about this," Tara says seriously. "Certainly at least not until we know what we want to do with it. In fact, we should tell as few people as possible of this. I know of a great many entities and organizations that would be extraordinarily interested in the power this represents." She rubs her new dragonmark subconsciously.
Jax would make his way on to the deck of the ship with Ajax. the metal head of the warforged sparkling in the sun along side the metal wolf. Once on the deck. he would make his way towards the engine room.. looking to see how they were repaired.
"Agreed." Saralyssa confirms, giving Tara a nod. She puts the crystal back into her pack, as the calls start from outside the room. "Best be off to join the others then." Saralyssa says, gathering up her gear and preparing to head out.
Everyone makes it to the deck of the airship, William can be seen shouting orders to his crew. One lone circle of glyphs can be seen near the captains station. The steering wheel has been adapted and several ropes can be seen tied to or next to it.
The crew gathers on top of the deck, though only about 2/3rds of deck remain. They wait in anticipation as the uttering of conversations begin to rise. The sun is rising over the dunes and the warm morning is begun turning hot and uncomfortable without any shade.
William addresses the crowd: “I know this hasn’t been the trip any of us have desired. I know we have all lost something, whether it’s time, belongings, or loved ones. But James spirit would want us to finish this journey in the best fashion possible, I know it. Without further ado, let’s get going.”He then turns and takes a few lines of rope. He can be seen bending down and reciting some magic over the circle of runes as they light up with the same blueish energy. Though now it is faded in the direct sunlight. With a pull of the ropes, the two main sails unroll and catch the wind.
Everyone shifts a little as they try to catch their balance on the deck as it rises up at an angle. The ship doesn’t get any loftier then just above the ground as it begins to surf along the sand dunes. Looking over the edge, you can see now an exposed makeshift sled rail. Up and down the dunes it makes for quite the turbulent ride, but after a couple minutes Williams finds his range and the ships capabilities. Weaving back and forth through the valleys of sand, the ride becomes much smoother.... if not causing a little bit of motion sickness for some passengers.
After a while the crew and passengers begin to settle down as the journey resumes.
Lucky looks around, and eventually wanders over to talk to Virnen. Thank... well, thank someone we made it through that. Luck, maybe. So, where you headed? After we dock, I mean. You got somewhere in mind? Anyone waiting for you? He looks down at the countryside moving beneath them and frowns. I reckon in a day or two, this whole thing will feel like a dream. That pisses me off 'cause, you know, people died and all that.

Upon hearing Williams shouts, Moxely will clean up the make shift kitchen and help pack up everything onto the now fixed ship.

Tara stands and accompanies Saralyssa out the door, blinking at the activity on deck. "Oh...it would appear we are leaving," she observes curiously.
