"Please, let us do just that!" wholeheartedly agreed Al-Ashari, proceeding to the tavern //or the orphanage - whatever we choose// without even looking around anymore. She was truly tired now and needed safe dry rest.
"Well," Kale says, turning to the group. "Rations and bunks in Thursday's old place, with my magic hut offering us some protection for the night? Or beds and perhaps warm meals at an inn that catches our fancy, with whatever guarantee of safety the proprietors there would provide? Honestly, neither option looks as attractive as my own bed back at home, but we need to be realistic and find a place soon."
“I don’t know that we should, or can, trust the food here, I think we’re just as well off in Thursday’s place as anywhere else, and she’s confirmed its empty, so thats a bonus. Or at least that it was empty, why don’t you and I go check it out, the rest of you keep your ears open, we’ll yell if we run into anything.” Whitegaze will move to the entrance to the orphanage and give Thursday an expectant look.
You find the place easily enough, you passed it several times as you wandered through the city, though it seemed to always be on a different street each time.
After checking the place out you find that it is indeed quite empty of people. The place has food, in the kitchen, looking to be freshly purchased. There are kids toys in the rooms, and other daily items all around the place. It appears that, minus the people, this place was being used quite recently, as in about the time Thursday made her wish.
Once inside you all have a sense of being safe. It is almost a tangible feeling here, something that is quite different than when you were on the streets, or anywhere else in town as a matter of fact.
Let me know if anyone is doing anything during their long rest. RP as you like, and we will continue onward when everyone is ready.
After instructing the choker to wait outside and guard the entrance to the house, Kale walks in with the others.
"Hmm... it's pleasant here," he says. "Although it looks like the surprise that might be awaiting whoever used to live here won't be so pleasant," he adds, helping himself to some of the food in the kitchen.
Kale takes it upon himself to snoop around the house, looking for anything of value and quietly pocketing it: Investigation: 19
He also takes a moment to study each room, trying to glean the kind of people who lived here and the atmosphere that Thursday grew up in, so he can try to better understand her and her motivations: Insight: 22
"Yeah, I didn't mean to bring it here... wishes..." she looks at her new rapier, "Can be tricky." Thursday walks through to find her old bunk that she is just too tall for now, pulls the tie from her hair and puts it around her wrist and lies down. "Welcome to my childhood home," she says from her bunk. "help yourself to whatever you want."

Al-Ashari quietly inspected the hose (not searching for anything in particular or investigating just getting used to surrounding) then chose the bed closer to window but not surrounded by other (from one side only if isolation is impossible) and transformed it (with help of Invisible Servant and blankets from un-used bed above) into a closed alcove, where she could change wet clothes.
"You wanted to be at home, right?"she was asking Thursday but did not really expect an answer, "this place does feel like a home. Strange feeling in this City, almost un-natural, but good." The comment about potential drawback they might expect she left out.
The kitchen probably also had lamp. So, after the Servant prepared some food (very light, Al-Ashari did not eat much) she returned to the bed and now was sitting there, drying up her long white hair and reading the ill-gotten book they got in Auction house, in hope to get any clue about group's situation.
"Yeah, it isn't much. Just an orphanage. I wasn't here too long. But I suppose it was my first home." She rolls over to her side to face Al-Ashari, "Hey Al. Do you think people can't leave this place? Do you think that the fog is actually dangerous? Maybe people are never seen from again because why would you ever want to come back? The animals tell you you're going to die. The people are all suffering." she returns to her back looking up at the blank ceiling, "I hate it here..."

"Ashari. If you must shorten my name you can say Ashari," softly corrected white woman Thursday, "and - yes, I do think that city is made to trap anyone inside without means to ever leave." Al-Ashari's expression became ... concerned, deeply. "At first I though this is a dream, The Dream, if you wish, a semi-plane made of thoughts of many living beings. Now I do not know. And as embarrassing as it sounds - I am afraid to even try the simple teleportation back to home - the real home. Or any other greater spells." She paused and then confessed one more thing: "There are ... ways to ask help from someone not of our world. But the price for asking is unpleasant even when it's safe. Here - it might cost much more. May be if we do solve the mysteries this City throw at us as we are meant to do - it will let us go? We can still hope."
Lunastra inspects the house, getting a feel for the new environment. She sighs as she takes a seat on her bunk.
"I can't remember the last time I haven't slept on a tree trunk or pile of leaves..." She muses out loud to no one in particular. Her eye twitches when her stomach suddenly growls, and she tentatively looks at the food in the kitchen. "Thursday, are you sure we can eat what we'd like here? The way things were set up, I get the feeling that there were other people around fairly recently. I'm not in the habit of invading homes and stealing meals."
"Yeah, I mean, I think I swept this place out from under whoever was cooking back in Sword Coast. I wonder what that was like..." she smirks and lets out a short stifled laugh. "I think it would be in our best interest to help ourselves even if this was left by someone here. We need to keep strength and survive. If someone comes in shouting about maggots in their brain and nose the least of my concern is that you ate their stew."
She shifts attention, "Sorry, Al-Ashri, if you'd like I can refer to you by your full name. Don't mean nothing by it. Just something I do a lot." For once, she is speaking pretty frankly, unguarded, vulnerable, she sits up. "Magic here is definitely strange. The wishing well caught me off guard. I can't even believe it worked. But there is something I haven't told you all. This new blade I found. I know this blade. Its a luck blade. Loaded full with three wishes. I've been too scared to even use it."

Kale sticks his head back in the kitchen, idly munching on a bagel. "I don't think it's invading or stealing if there's no way for the owners to get their house back. Kidnapping, maybe... but can you even do that to a house?" he says to Luna.
Luna shrugs and grabs some raw meat, pulling it apart with her slightly fanged teeth and chewing. "Fair enough. I wonder why the spell didn't manage to take you outside of Elysium, if you asked to go home..." She makes quick work of her food and returns to bed. "Can't complain now. I'm dry and fed. It's time to get some rest." She folds her arms under her head, yawning before shutting her eyes, comfortable but still fully prepared to act at a moment's notice if she had to. After a lifetime of experience in the wilderness, maintaining at least the smallest amount of alertness in case of an ambush was second nature.
"I am afraid we are past the high moral behaviour at this point anyway,"sighed Al-Ashari. She was looking at the blade now (not touching it of course). "Any three wishes? I understand the hesitation. Even the most innocent wish can turn out nasty here. Though, you survived, and Kale's device harmed others, not him. Come to think of it, we did not loose much yet, if anything. Not that it means anything, of course."
As everyone settles in, Whitegaze will begin setting up his tent in an open empty area of the house and arrange his belongings inside, if the others question him about it, “Even though we’re indoors, we’re still soaked and I plan to dry out and being in a more enclosed space will help keep me warm,” Looking to Thursday, “Room for two if you’re interested.” And then he’ll start stripping out of his armor and wet clothes, hanging them out to dry before climbing in his tent and eating a meal of rations he brought with him, “I’m still not sure I trust the food here, but we’ll see how you all feel in the morning I guess.”
Kale leans against the wall, finishing his food. "We should still keep watch tonight," he tells the others. "Whether it feels safe here or not, we need to keep an eye on what might want to come inside. My choker should vanish sometime in the night, so we can't rely on it exclusively to watch the door. I can still cast my hut in here, of course... it's a mere ritual of 10 minutes to do, unless you'd prefer I keep the arcane out of this household lest we taint it with whatever's going on outside."
He looks around at the others. "So, how many shifts, and who wants to take which one?"
"Since we do not know how your "hut" will react to this place, may be it's better be left for the future. But if you think this place is not safe... I would watch it for a while. I'd like to finish that book anyway".
Actually, Al-Ashari would not watch herself - Servant will, while she continues to read.
