The demon finds purchase on Rusty's arm and shoulder. Rusty hears wood splintering and metal crushing. Rusty is annoyed that his creator would install and enable receptors to replicate pain, such an inefficient design for a unit originally created for combat. With equal disdain for the demon and the implementation of his sensory neurons he readies his short sword and dagger.
The demon beset upon Connor is met with a blade from Hari and and the heft of the hammer from Forjar. The demon's fervor dies as its body starts to break away. Leaving only the other demon by Rusty.
Demon Maw 2 is dead; Rusty, Connor, Axon are free to act.
Connor feels his mortal coil being shook loose he disengages and retreats from the other demon tries to inspire Axton with a short refrain The artificer was a lot nicer after we made blood geyser from this fell biter
I did not add the Sneak Attack bonus damage as I was unsure if anyone was within 5 feet of the Maw, if someone is within 5 feet may I add Damage 2 to the first attack.
(Even if resistant, it doesn't totally negate damage. Only immunities does. You still hurt it.)
Rusty retaliates, impaling both sword and dagger into the demon. The creature goes limp as it gags upon the steel, slowly decaying away.
Encounter is Over
As the threat is gone, the party is free to check around the room. It looks to be of a former bedroom, but with most of the furniture demolished. But the most noticeable feature is the corner of the room, as it was full or corpses, animal and human carcasses. It looks to be from where the demons pulled their meal from.
Forjar goes to check on Connor. "I'm sorry lad. I used the last of my magics on that energy blast. Fat lot of good it did, missed the broadside of the barn. I'm afraid I can't heal you."He turns to the others. "Are we able to secure this room well enough to take a rest you think? He is hurt pretty bad, and I am completely tapped on magics. Unless someone else can get him right and going?"

Hari grunts. "I've got it. Hold still," she tells Connor before laying a hand on his shoulder, brow furrowing with focus. "Let the strength of old Dhakaan flow through me into him, if only for a moment," she says softly, her voice taking on an intonation of verse.

thank you, your voice is beautiful connor says to hari. Connor starts going around the room checking the corpses 1 to make sure they're corpses and 2 if the humanoid ones have any loot
Upon further examination, they are indeed all dead. The cause of death being brutally beaten, all with large bruises and broken bones. Most of them have been stripped for gear except the ones that seem like non-combatants, left in their torn common or travelers clothes. Embed in most of their injuries is a black metal or sorts, easily catching Connor's eyes as it luster is obvious against the bruised skin.
Hari blinks as Connor makes his comment, then the hobgoblin gives him a nod. "Thank you," she says after a moment before joining him in searching the bodies.
I am currently running at sub-optimalcondition, my deltoid region has sustained damage, my current state is not dire but a short cessation of our activities to allow for some minor maintenance would be appreciated. If our current location does not sanction a cessation, I am competent to continue our mission.
"I do not require rest, Rusty do you have ranged weapons with which you are effective?" Axon lamented on the fact that he did not have any reserve magic with which to heal his Warforged brethren, but it did not show as his voice remained monotone.
"I wouldn't see any benefit from a rest either. The resources I have expended need a full day to return. If time is of the essence perhaps we should press on until more are in need of a rest. I can certainly stand in the front for longer, most of these creatures have seemed to find it difficult to get past my shield. Rusty, if we don't take a rest now would you like to borrow my crossbow so you can stand further back from the front lines for the time being?"

"I have enough lore to heal you, Rusty," Hari offers. "Won't be able to do much more dirgesinging - at least not the magical kind - until I get some rest, but I use my sword in battle more anyway." The hobgoblin makes her way over, raising an eyebrow.

I am not at optimal condition, but my integrity is still higher than most biologicals base, I am still operating at a high level and can continue to scout and use both my ranged and martial weapons. Since everyone is content to continue I will proceed at the point position.

Forjar sees Connor bleeding badly, but having depleted all of his spells there isn't much he can do for that right at the moment.
Instead he throws his shield aside and rushes towards the closest demon to bring down his hammer in a powerful two handed grip.
