Deshi shakes their head, eyes beginning to sparkle. "Yes, Penny. This timetable is neither hypothesis nor history. This appears to be a map to... the world below."
Pulling out her own map, Penny aligns it with the fault line map. Drywood seems near a fault line, but still not on one, at least from what she can tell.

"Well," Deshi says slowly. "You are without shells, so the most direct means of egress may be closed to you." Deshi smiles as he nods to the moving landscape outside a nearby window. "And the children poured both time and love into this shell's artwork; it would be a grave shame to see it damaged." The wizard scratches their chin.
"I assume it would be best for us to make our escape before we reach the station at Drywood- the militia will undoubtedly be waiting for us..." They snap their claws. "Master Ormond! You are an accomplished traveler, yes? Are you aware of a bend in the track or a hill, or perhaps a tunnel near the Drywood station that would require the train to slow somewhat? It would be perfectly safe for us to jump if thelocomotive first slowed to perhaps ten miles per hour.Provided, of course, that we each run in the exact opposite direction of the train's motion to a speed of no less than, say, four miles per hour..."
Ormond raises an eyebrow, "All of you drop the Captain - that was never my rank, and I'm no longer a Militiaman."
Taking a breath, he continues, "Now, regarding getting off the train... I agree we should do so before reaching the town. I'm sure one of Penny's maps shows the train tracks and we can make a better decision with that. Regarding slowing down, we'll simply ask the engineer upfront to stop the train. In fact, I'm sure that the Hippo would happily do so. I'd recommend sabotaging the engine once we've stopped, just so that neither the engineer nor any train behind this one, beats us to Drywood."
Ormond takes out his own paper and quill and makes quick notes, noting major cities near fault lines, as well as locations he knows to hold military installations.
He then busies himself preparing for their eventual departure from the train.
// Is there time for a short rest - I'm thinking that Roland would appreciate the chance to roll some hit die. //
Roland stares at the map for a long time while the rest of the group discusses it. "So this map. It's illegal for me to take a gander at it's all-mappiness? Did I just raise my bounty by looking at it?" He shrugs at Ormonds comment on Roland and the engineer. "I'd be glad to, but I need another nap first. One I've initiated myself this time."

"Well, what should I call you then," Penny asks Ormond.
"That sounds like a great plan, stop the engine, disable it, and then make our own way to Drywood. I'm not sure we have time for Hippo here to rest, though, we were a couple hours out when these shenanigans started, so we're likely a little more than an hour out now? The engineers are probably our best source for exactly where to stop, they'll have been on these rails a lot. We should ask them... when we ask them to kindly stop the train." She pulls her hood up over her head, and then a hidden scarf up over her face. "Ready!"

Despite Penny’s readiness, it is clear that the rest of the crew require a moment of rest. Therefore, after thirty minutes of anxious pacing from Penny, the teams wounds have healed enough that they feel as though they can do this properly. From the window, it seems that the train is coming toward a tunnel through an approaching mountain shortly. Perhaps this will be the moment that the crew is waiting for.

"I'll scout ahead," Penny says, as Roland gets to his feet. She pops her hood up again, and with her goggles handy, heads quietly (though she whispers a prayer) to the front of the car and through the door.
Penny sneaks forward carefully, peering into the cabin, wherein she sees two men chatting casually as they move the train forward. They do not seem to have noticed what happened.
Roland meanwhile, looms behind her in the doorway. They might notice him quicker.

Penny jimmies the lock with a satisfying click. With that, Penny gently opens the door and slips in to see... the two engineers looking at her with wide eyes. Both parties are frozen in the moment.
