Does Peri see anything of note down either end of the hallway?
Peri joins Gerrard at the end of the hallway. He can easily see to both ends of the long hall. On the east, it opens into a large, bare chamber. He faintly sees what looks to be another hidden trapdoor maybe 15 feet to the east, just past the fallen stone. Activating his eldritch sight, he can detect, to the west, another arcane illusion on the floor where Gerrard's brick disappeared. This must have been the magic he was picking up from the main cellar.

Peri:
"Seems your brick was as effective as my spell. Well you don't need a sword to butter a muffin, as me ma said. There's two more traps found anyway. Another trapdoor over that way, and looks like another big room on the other side. Think we'll get lucky with the trapdoor trick twice?"
He cast mage hand again and uses it to grope ahead toward the trapdoor, hoping to trigger any tripwires with it rather than his feet. If nothing goes off he wall-walks quietly (Stealth16) toward the room to try to peek around the corner. (Perception14)
Peri carefully and quietly advances sideways down the hallway to the east. He finds no further traps.
Peeking around the corner, he finds a bare fifty-foot-square chamber. Three enormous, rotting ogres stand close to the southern wall. They clutch large morningstars, which drag on the stone floor. Standing directly in the exit on the southern wall, effectively blocking it, is a large crystal statue of a minotaur. The room is otherwise empty.
The dead ogres don't stir or appear to notice Peri.
Peri hustles back along the wall, giving Bokotiger a scratch on the head on the way past before realizing he'd done it. Gotta remember it's Boko, not a big kitty! Still, it's hard to resist touching those fuzzy ears when they're on a head bigger than your torso... He stops above the trapdoor so that Boko and Gerrard will be able to hear his whisper.
"Three big ogre zombies, plus another damn statue. This one's a minotaur made of crystal. Can't get close enough to see if it's magic, but whaddya wanna bet? It's slap in the middle of the doorway to the next room. Might be we can lure them down this hallway and into the pit here. Even if they avoid it we might be able to take cover behind the rocks there. Ideas? Suggestions? They gotta be guardin' somethin', right?" Peri gets as close to the trapdoor as he can without touching it and tries to see what lays in the bottom of the pit.

Bokotiger doesn't snap at Peri but her tail does swish and flick at him, like a snapped towel. She approaches the trapdoor, sniffing intently, trying to get a sense of more metal underneath, or caustic acid fumes, or something else.
Whispering a response, Gerrard says, "Indeed, luring unintelligent creatures into pits and other traps seems to be the order of the day. Still, I was hoping we were just clearing traps at this point, not starting another major combat. Should we fall back or try and clear another path first, or maybe rest and let our casters regain their more powerful spells before starting the next major combat? We certainly can't call this island 'cleared' without dealing with these zombies and their attendant statue, but with Master Fiercehammer abandoning us, our combat effectiveness is reduced."

Bokotiger smells nothing unusual - nothing like the sour smell that emanated from the illusory acid pit in the other hallway. Whatever is down there is evidently not a pool of acid. It is camouflaged similarly, though, and clearly appears to be a trap.

"Hey!" calls out Bayleaf to Dwal from the inside of the barricaded kitchen. "Get more loot? Anything good? Is it time to get going yet? I think the old man is gone."
It is still dark and gusty outside, but the rain has mostly abated. There is a deep, booming roar to the west; Dwal can see a dark, funnel-shaped cloud low over the western hills. Against it, he glimpses a massive bird of some sort, engaged in a distant fight with something below. The island itself is still and quiet, except for the roar of the wind.
Dwal returns to the cellar, and through the concealed door into the entrance guardroom.
Dwal stomps along. "Damn monster birds fightin', storms brewin' an' I'm trapsin' around a temple of some foul god." he mutters.
Dwal casts Thaumaturgy , increasing his voice to 3 times its volume and calls out loudly.
"ARE YOU LOT DONE YET, OR DID YA GET YERSELF KILLED? THERE'S A BAD STORM BREWIN OUTSIDE AN' THERE'S SOME GIANT BIRD FIGHTIN' OFF TA THA WEST AN I AIN'T GOT NO IDEA HOW TA RUN A BOAT, JUST BUILD 'EM. IT'S TIME TA GO!" he bellows out in his usual grumpy voice.
"Well, there goes the element of surprise." he says with a deflated voice. In a moment of clarity Kei offers up some rare wisdom. "You know, without Dwal we will most likely fail. I mean, not because we need him exactly, but we need everyone." He pauses briefly as if deep in thought before continuing "I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I think he's right. We should get out of here." Obviously Dwal overly loud statement hit a nerve - a nervous nerve.
As Bokowolf races past and back the way they came, Gerrard hears Kei's words and sighs. "Master Fenwader, perhaps we should leave this fight for another day. I detest leaving a job undone, but it seems the will to continue has left Dwal at least, and perhaps more of us."
Brightening slightly, he says after a moment's thought, "Although, if that room is laid out the way you suggest, perhaps there is a secret entrance to it from the treasure room...Maybe that is worth checking out, if you think it worthwhile."

Bokotiger quietly pads through the labyrinth, then bounds up the cellar stairs to get a better sense of what Dwal reported.
The wind is gusty, the sky black with clouds. The continuous booming roar to the west is immediately obvious, as is the black wall of clouds in that direction. Only a thin drizzle now mixed with a bit of light hail falls from the sky. Then Boko sees it also: a huge, diving bird far in the distance – perhaps a half-mile or more away. It is clearly engaged with prey below, presumably over the unseen ocean beyond and below the cliffs. The bird-like creature has something on its head, like a bifurcated plume of feathers, or antlers, or a crude crown of some sort. She cannot see what it is fighting, but the massive bird repeatedly dives out of sight and then retreats to the skies.
Peri looks at Gerrard and Kei in disbelief. "How in the Nine Hells did I become the dependable one? It's not even lunchtime yet and that cantankerous old dwarf is ready to call it quits for the day? Must be how dwarves live so long, only workin' two hours a day! Sure you're all ready to go," he says to Kei. "Got yourself some new boots and a matchin' handbag! Well who knows what kinda treasure those things down there are guardin'? Could be more fancy armor. Could be a whole armory of magic swords. But we're just gonna tuck tail and run? And you!" He rounds on Gerrard. "You really wanna go out in that storm, risk our necks sailin' into Saltmarsh, just to tell 'em we didn't get the job done, maybe could they send someone tougher out here to deal with it? You know they're not gonna do anything about it! They didn't even deal with the haunted mansion on the edge of their own town!"
Wedging his glowing sword into the rock at his feet, Gerrard draws his longbow and sights around the corner down the hallway. "You say there is a pit ahead, Master Fenwader? If Mistress Boko returns and Master Kei is willing to stay with us, we could use this intersection to our advantage. Only one large skeleton can fit in the hall at a time, but with you on the wall or ceiling and our lupine friend next to me, we should have a 3 to 1 tactical advantage--and that is after it crosses the pit. I do not know if this will overcome our disadvantage with Master Fiercehammer having decided to retreat, but I am willing to risk it if the rest of you are," responds Gerrard hopefully, though he looks unwilling to continue until at least Boko returns.

Boko watches for less than a minute and tries to remember if she has heard of anything at all like the flying creature from her time with the druid. (Also does she see a waterspout in the storm?)
She returns to the group, passing Dwal and nodding her head back to the party.
There is a low funnel cloud offshore to the west, but no indication of a waterspout. Whether one just broke up, or whether one is about to form she cannot tell, but the conditions are right. The intermittently gusting winds are from the southeast, so the weather system seems to be moving away from the island.
As to the flying creature, she has never seen such a thing before. It roughly resembles an oversized bird of prey, but there's something not birdlike about its head and body. It's hard to judge at this distance, but its body must be ten or twelve feet long, with a massive wingspan.
Peri joins Gerrard at the end of the hallway. He can easily see to both ends of the long hall. On the east, it opens into a large, bare chamber.
