“May i introduce you to Efeu, my new little guardian. He is kind of an awakened plant, but i made a few improvements on him.“ Gara will order Efeu to scout a litle bit ahead of the group. 20 to 30 ft. And while Efeu is watching out for danger, Gara can concentrate on looking for tracks.
Moving to B2, you discover no immediate threat, though Jardor would note that his pet is feeling increasinly resless. Gara's metallic companion has no such worries and circles around the group looking for threats.
Serit would have offered Gara A Northern blueberry as they first headed off.
Northern Blueberry - Counts a full meal and has a calming effect on whoever eats it. After eating the berry, the user has advantage on Wisdom saving throws, and a +1 bonus to Wisdom ability checks.The effects begin 10 minutes after eating and last for 8 hours.
Jardor takes note of Impisi's unease and attempts to calm him.
"Easy there beastie. You are part of a powerful pack now remember. Nothing to be worried about. Whatever is ahead of us we can handle together." He reaches out to place a soothing hand on the back of the large Scavenger, just below the hackles.

Just to get a feelinf, hiw long did it take to travel 1 hex?
As noted in the OOC thread, each tile represents a couple of miles, so takes 1 hour to travese at normal pace (taking terrain into account). I am assimeing you set off in the morning, so let's say it was midday when you reached the first tile forest area.
You advance deeper into the forest. You and Efeu see nothing but based on your understanding of the land, you see that this area also feels wrong: there's still no wildlife, and the bark of some trees has scratch-like marks that you cannot immediately recognise.
Impisi is calmed by Jardor, but still looks alert as it sniffs the air around.
Lacking any real skills for this type of outing Serit merely strides along, his usual confidant self. He eyes Impisi and it's unease and then to Jardor, "Your beast is nervous eh? Probably need a good hiding. I find fear of oneself a great motivator getting over fear of others."

Jardor smiles back at the bugbear. "He is used to being strongest in his pack, and so not used to having others as strong and stronger around to back him up. That can make one cautious of overextending themselves on the hunt. As he gets used to our pack dynamics that cautiousness will be replaced by trust."

Impisi begins to growl and sniffs the air some more. She then darts sideways, away from your initial path, towards a large tree. Under the massive roots you see seen a lynx backing down, with its back towards what looks like a hideout under the massive tree roots. The beast is almost surrounded by several wolf-sized spiders, circling around the hideout, making unnerving clicking noises. One of these foul creatures turns around without breaking pace in an alien way only a creature with so many legs can do and lets out a screech.
(DM, what is your opinion on Serit recasting his False Life at will spell every hour?)
As long as you are in a situation where it is reasonable (like right now, when you are in an expedition in hostile territory), you can assume you have it pre-cast.

Serit stops and narrows his eyes at the spiders, his internal fear of the beasts seeping from his hand and coalescing as a shadowed flail.
