"I believe their behavior has an arcane origin," Abraxas says, "but the ogres don't seem to be possessed. Closer to daydreaming under a magical influence." He thinks for a moment. "Are ogres solitary creatures? Perhaps they are being pacified so a group of them cluster around the statues?"
Abraxas will pull his book bags tighter around his torso. "I think we're going to have to talk to them. To do that, we'll need as escape plan." Abraxas squints at the statues, judging their height. "If the statues are less than thirty feet, I can easily teleport to the top of one. That way, if they are angry with me, I can hide in a spot they may not look and probably won't damage."
Aisha doesn't look happy with the plan but she also wasn't one to talk. Just remember, they may have javerleens like the bugbears. But we need to do something or this whole thing will be a bust, and somehow I feel if we attack them we may find outselves fighting all of them.. and Aisha means the other guardians, not just the ogres. So be careful friend.
Harmony had heard Abraxas and Aisha, thinking. "I can try to talk to them and hope that with how they're daydreaming, they will be a bit friendlier towards us unlike the bugbears." she then says back to them all, nodding.
Can Abraxas tell how tall the statues are? If he is sure they are less than 30 feet and if they are large enough on top for him to lay prone there, he will move toward the ogres, whistling loudly. He has cast Mage Armor. He is also interested in two other things: how far apart the statues are and if Misty Step can be cast at higher levels.
If the statues are too tall, he will not move at all. He will instead point out the flaw in his plan to his companions and consider other ways of gaining information.
OOC: The statues are each around 15 feet tall (the size of a Huge creature). Misty step can be cast using higher level spell slots, but that does not change the effect of the spell.
Resembling totem poles, [the statues] stand evenly in a four-by-four pattern, each sixty feet away from the next.
There is discussion of Harmony and Garu going forward to talk, and also Abraxas moving in and whistling...I want to have a clear picture of what the party is doing before I begin to resolve things. Is everybody moving in together? If the answer is yes, then I will also wait to get confirmation on what Aisha is doing before I resolve.
Aisha will stay to the shadows of the tree's, as will Tsavi, drawing her bow but staying out of sight for the sake of catching the Ogre's in a surprise round should they prove hostile. So instead of readying an action, she wishes to wait until combat would start to take a first round surprise round, should they prove hostile.
Abraxas is happy to have the others with him. He'll ask Harmony and Garu if all three of them should try to sneak up on the ogres or if they were thinking of trying a more direct approach. "Will we share a language with them?" he asks. "I don't speak anything close and don't have a spell that will help. Sorry," he says.
Harmony had heard Abraxas, shaking her head. "Sneaking will only make us look bad and have them be aggressive. So we should be direct, but friendly. I've got a spell for this, but to cast it on all three of us is a lot though." she then said back to them.
"You could cast it on yourself and act as our translator, if you'd like," Abraxas says. "I'm very comfortable with that." He considers Aisha and Garu. "What do you think?"
Harmony had heard Abraxas, thinking of that. "Oh, yeah that does sound good." she said back before hearing Garu. "Whoever I cast it on can understand any spoken language they hear and when they speak, anyone that knows a language and can hear will understand them. But it's only for an hour though." Harmony then said back to Garu.
When Abraxas feels the others are ready, he walk toward the ogres, not trying to hide, but ready to cast Misty Step. He will aim for the top of the closest statue should he need to teleport.
Harmony hears Garu, nodding in agreement. "Thanks and they possibly might not, but we won't know until we talk to them. Alright, let's go." she says back before casting Tongues on herself. Then she will go walking up toward the ogres with Garu.
Knowing that the others are with him, Abraxas plans to ask the ogres about the statues. He will see if he can detect signs of Kayel worship as he interacts with them.

OOC: Most of the ogres carry large clubs as weapons, but some do appear to have massive javerleens as well.

Garu, agreeing with Harmony, says, "Yes - I tend to be persuasive as well. I can help you with that endeavor."

Harmony hears Garu, nodding back and relieved. "Alright, the two of us then should be able to do this." she had said back to them.
