Johan pauses for a moment, seemingly distracted by the succubis words, he doesnt move to attack, but keep Janice surronded essentially by himself and the rest of the group.
How can we trust you fiend? How can we know what you is not more lies?
(Aura is up next, depending on what you guys want to do Janice will attempt to barter on her turn and we can drop out of initiative order.)
(dropped numbering too hard to keep consistant if just me doing numbered) (Not sure of group choice, so Ashtear will act as herself, given what she's told Winter, and all the other losses today)
Seeing Johan pausing as well, briefly considering if he could be charmed still in someway, but decides to let him talk. Holding a red pill in her hand, in case Janice makes an errant move
(Held Action Attack: If Janice attacks or spells (in a way I can notice). The Firestrike 17to hit 9 fire damage) Ashtear will let the others take the lead in the hostage situation, in front of the small child she told she would try to help.
Aura sees Ashtear's reaction and does something similar. Instead, she just gets ready to deliver a full round of attacks with her quarterstaff if Janice tries to do anything sneaky.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Albanus thinks he hears the sounds of battle dying down ahead of him but the echoes and terrified whimpers of the towns folk are drowning out most other sounds. He is aware that his companions are likely still fighting Janice. He is aware Blondie is somewhere he can't see, he looks around trying to watch out for her. He backs up a little and shifts to one side, imploring those inside the cage closest to him to stand back for a moment. He hurls a Fire Bolt at another cage, (Attack:20) doing 15 fire damage to the lock. If they get free, he will go with them to the trap door, speak the word "Winter's Touch" and see them to safety. He will ask them if they have any useful information and tell them to find Tom waiting topside.
If his attack doesn't work, he shuffles over towards the cage and helps them get free.

(Ugh... no good options here.)
Manfred will sigh as he sees everyone tensing, waiting for Janice to make a move. "Do not tell me you plan on listening to one of this fiend's lies? Giving her the book will damn more souls than saving the souls of those already gone. Besides, she has a sister....somewhere around here" Manfred gestures to the air around the keep
Spinning his flute around in his fingers once more, he casts Vicious Mockery once more and sneers at Janice. "I would insult you further, but the Gods have sadly beaten me to the punch."
WIS 14 save or 6 damage and disadvantage on next attack before the end of her next turn.
As the town's people stand back from the door, theres a flash of arcane energy amd another one of the locks explodes. Winter goes with Albanus and the rest of the townsfolk, awaiting the word so they can escape.
"Blondie" remains gone, whether that means that shes gone gone, or just unseen for the moment, is impossible to tell.
Survivor steps into his swings, once from each side, severing her head from its body, plants a foot on it to keep it from rolling away, and looks around for the sister as he, and he alone, hears the whispers of his ancestors, satisfied in his work.
"Nicely done." Dain says, glancing around, but seeing no other enemies around. He nods to the others. "Only one of them left, I be thinking that one might no be wanting to hang around these parts."
With that, the succubus you all knew as Janice is dead. The one you all like to call "Blondie" does not appear, even after a few tense moments, it appears she is not returning to this plane of existence any time soon.
Johan is the first to breathe a long sigh of relief before turning to you all.
I can only assume you were the ones to discover the journal? And also fhe ines whom had contacted me just a few hours ago? I must say you do quick work! Have you been sent by guildmaster Leon? I must speak with him! It is most urgent! Perhaps there is a key where the demon once was.
He says, moving to inspect the area where Janice died.
Manfred will look around for the magistrate or rather start asking around amongst the townfolk if they've seen the magistrate. He wants an explanation of what happened to this town and how these creatures were able to burrow their way so deeply into Riverton society
Albanus come back from letting the townsfolk out. He immediately seeks out Janice’s body and makes sure it’s dead. Then, he calmly takes his dagger and proceeds to remove her eyes, carefully wrapping them in fabric cut from his robe. “You won’t be needing these, my love.” He will lend some help searching the fiend’s body. Finally, he asks with a bit of a start, “Where’s the other one?”
Dain opens the book he got from the baroness and starts to look through it.
Looking through, first thing you notice is that its clearly written in a different language. (Anyone speak gnome?) But it's rather clearly a wizards spell book, yourself being a wizard are vlearly able to tell that much.

Asking arpund briefly, someone does remember seeing the magistrate being led in as well, and after a few minutes of murmuring you finally hear someone towards the back of the crowd begin to pipe up. Stepping forward is a rather plump man, early forties, with a big red bushy beard, holding his chest out as much as his belly will allow.
Ah yes, right here. Im the magistrate of this town. Bartholomew Nota at your service good sir, and might i add, that was quite the tense situation. Your friends were right to listen to you, no telling what these things would have done with such things.

Looking through, you do manage to find a dagger as well as a potion of healing on what remains of Janice.
Albanus pockets the items and beings to ask around for anyone that has seen Winter's parents. "Is there another door in the room, I wonder?"
Albanus decides to try to lure the succubus out and starts talking a bit loud, bordering on shouting (thaumaturgy): "So, your masters are dead, fiend. I wonder if how you feel is how all cowards feel when they lose? Or maybe running away comes easy to such as you. You know, when your master was in my head, she said some pretty nasty things about you. How you are incompetent and always messing up. Oh, if she only could see you now...oh! Wait! Let's try to see if she can see you!" With that Albanus takes Janice's gory eyes and pushes them against his own, looking around the room, for the fiend.
Dain casts comprehend languages as a ritual and then reads the book a bit more carefully, seeing what it has in it for spells.
Taking a minute, and after casting your spell, you see the covers and pages are coated with a magical varnish that renders them immune to acid damage, protecting them from the pudding’s digestive juices. The varnish also protects against water damage.
The spellbook is titled Underland Magick, and contains the following spells:
Dain moves to attack janice.
booming blade
To hit: 11
Damage: 9 and 5 thunder.
She takes another 7 thunder if she moves.

(Wis saving throw for Janice) - 12
Survivor is up next, then Janice, then Dain.
Survivor will continue to hit Janice.
Attack: 25 Damage: 10
Attack: 23 Damage: 8
(Alright Hdywtdt!)
