"I say we done our duty here..." Dain says looking at the pile of rubble that seems to have blocked off an entire tunnel. "Let the two dwarfs dig that out themselves." He nods to the rubble pile. "They can't say we didn't do enough to earn our reward as it be now."
Norbus and Dazlyn are arguing with each other in Dwarvish when you come out of the temple. It isn’t a fight, more like an argument between friends who are used to disagreeing with each other. Dain the basic idea is that Dazlyn trusts you to not cheat on them with the treasures and that Norbus thinks it was a foolish idea and that you will betray them.
The sky is a turning yellow with the setting sun in the west, painting the front of the Temple and the sides of the valley in a beautiful golden light.
"No be going to cheat you." Dain says with a shrug. He pulls the dagger medallion out of his pocket and holds it up. "Found this and some gems, that be all, plus there is a tunnel you will be needing to dig your way through if you want to be seeing what be on the other side of it." He would nod to his companion with the gemstones when he speaks of them.
Otrov back up keeping about 10-15 feet between herself and the previously-arguing dwarves, hand lightly on her crossbow, which is still loaded. (She would have taken the lamp from Relgalyn and extinguished it at the entrance of the temple).
She successfully contains a disappointed sigh at Dain's honest and principled nature. "Well, it looks like the light is fading quickly. If I were you,"Otrov's face can't help but squish into a conflicted portrait of confusion as she contemplates the possibility of turning into a dwarf,. Trying to supress a shiver, she contnues, "I would set out with us now or at first light. There are, you know, orc raiding parties about and all."
Dazlyn rushes to you Dain to have a closer look at the dagger, excited about the discovery: "May i?" he holds out his hand complytly ocupied with your find.
Norbus on the other hand stays where he is and carefully watches Otrov holding his weapon: "I doubt that traveli g in the night is a good idea, here we have fire, a stew, a decent shelter if it rains and those old palisades are at least a litle defence." He points to a kettle over the fire where something is simmering: "I hope you dont mind smoked goat and beets stew."
Otrov belly rumbles, reminding her she hasn't eaten in a while. She will also warily move towards some food. Nodding at Dazlyn, she says "Well? What is it? Oh yeah, we found some of your ancestors in there - all dead of course. How do dwarves deal with their dead? Do they put them in the forge? Or bury them? Make them into beer?" Still keeping a bit of space between herself and the dwarves, Otrov looks out down the path and around the area a bit. "I think we should be okay here but perhaps taking watch tonight in groups of two might be a good idea. I can take first watch, since it will still be a bit light maybe. Who's with me?"
"By all means." Dain says, handing it over, then following back to the campfire. "Probably a good idea to be staying put for the night, but you should be thinking about coming back to town with us. it no be safe out here..."
Dazlyn takes the dagger necklace to Norbus and the two of them sit next to the fire. Dazlyn says loud enough for everyone: “This is proof of our assumption that this here was a temple dedicated to Abbathor, this here is his holly symbol and his credo. “ He passes the dagger to Norbus and helps himself and Norbus to the stew while keep talking. He is to absorbed to notice that he used the only two bowls here for himself and his friend. “ We know that this temple predates Phandalin which was founded during the Phandelver Pact by the humans who worked in the Spell forge. We try to find out how old it is and when it got destroyed. We will have a look around inside if we find more thinks that could be usefull in that regard, you said there were bones? Maybe we can get a clerric to talk with the dead for us.”
Norbus joins in while Dazlyn eats: “We will make a map of the inside and collect a few samples, shouldn’t take longer then two hours, and in the morning we can break up camp.”
“We did say you will get the Sending Stones for getting rid of the slimes and that stands. I could have a look at the gems later, value them and then we split them taking into account that we got the symbol. Or we can someone in Phandalin evaluate them if you prefer a independent opinion.” Dazlyn replies. You can sense that Norbus wanted to say something, but could only roll his eyes because he had his mouth full.
"No problem either way." Dain says, glancing to his companions. "What do you two think? Wait till Phandalin to split the other stuff, but get the sending stones now?"
“Sounds alright to me. Probably best to get back to town as quick as possible.” Relgalyn says as he lulls out his mess kit and scoops himself some food.
Otrov catches Norbus nearly spitting up his stew and glances slyly in his direction. "Something to add, good dwarf?" Otrov will wait for a moment to see if Norbus has anything to say before continuing,"Personally and - no offense to either of you," glancing at the dwarves, "I would like a jeweller to appraise them, not archaeologists. Tell us about the sending stones."
Norbus shrugs, puts down his plate, gets up and moves to a small tent at the other side of the yard.
“I think he's geting the stones.”Dazlyn says,”My apologies for his manors, he just doesn’t trust anyone. Not neccesarrily a bad habit out here though.”
After a moment Nobus returns with a small dark velvet satchel and chucks it to Dain.
“Are you coming Daz, we can’t waste to much time if we want to leave in the morning” Norbus says to Dazlyn, who nods and grabs a utility belt before following Norbus to the temple.
Dain, inside the satchel you find a set of Sending Stones
Otrov thinks about following the dwarves and “helping” them in the temple, then remembers they can see in the dark and she can’t. So she will take a bit of a perimeter stroll around the campsite, looking for trails or signs of disturbance, including any approaches to the camp that could be used by bad guys.
"I say we done our duty here..." Dain says looking at the pile of rubble that seems to have blocked off an entire tunnel. "Let the two dwarfs dig that out themselves." He nods to the rubble pile. "They can't say we didn't do enough to earn our reward as it be now."
Relgalyn will start walking back towards the entrance, "I am so glad to hear you say that."
Otrov concurs and walks back with the others.

“Better than some things I’ve eaten lately.” Relgalyn starts moving down towards wherever the food is.
