((Sorry for my absence, guys, it was a bit of a weekend...)))
So, the four of you head over to the Mithril Mallet, a no frills arms and armor shop quite close to the temple of Lathander. You enter to see a burly dwarf with a fair amount of grey in his auburn hair. “‘Ello” he says “Wot can I do for ye?”
"Hi there! We've got a few crossbows and scimitars to sell, and we may like to buy a few other things." Kestrell lays the light crossbow and scimitar he picked up from the pirates on the counter. "There's quite a few more like these. I'd be interested in a nice hand crossbow and some bolts for it. I'd also like to get a whetstone, a crowbar, some ball bearings and caltrops."
"I don't suppose you have lanterns, torches, blankets or waterskins here do you?"
The dwarf nods “I can take these off your hands, right enough... and I’ve got some hand crossbows you can take a look at. The rest you can get from Hildi. HILDI!” at the mention of her name a dwarven woman of similar coloring comes in from the side door. “Is it hear your after? Bromn here just does arms and armor but I can help you with the rest.” After looking over the weapons Bromn looks up at you from under his eyebrows and says “I can do 125 gold for the seven scimitars and the seven crossbows.”
Mendax, lightening Kes's load by carrying some of the scimitars and walks in behind Kes. Before Kes starts negotiating Mendax touches his elbow and casts BLESS on Kes.

Con, you don’t see anything out of the ordinary on the street, just the normal morning routine of Baldur’s Gate, people going to work, vendors pushing their carts, beggars and cut purses rubbing the sleep from their eyes as they look for likely marks.

"Thank you! Hildi, we'll probably be right over as soon as we finish up with Bromn."
"Bromn, that's a fine deal. A very fine deal. You know, though, these are some very fine scimitars and crossbows. Heck, some of them are pretty much brand new! What do you think about 200 Gold for the lot of them, and we'll buy some more weapons from you afterwards, and supplies from Hildi."
Bromn purses his lips and considers your offer. “The best I can do, the BEST, mind, is 175. Any more than that and I’m operating at a loss. And you’ve got my word that Hildi and I will be giving you a fair price on whatever you buy. That’s the best I can do.” He crosses his arms with a nod.
Bromn takes a sleek looking hand crossbow off the wall and hands it to you. “Top of the line, this. It’s 75 gold and I’ll throw in 20 bolts for free. It’s 1gp for 20 after that.”
Kestrell whistles: "Wowee, that shore is a beauty! I can't afford it though, do you have something, maybe slightly used that would be much, much cheaper?"
"Come now, Kestrell," Vin begins, smiling as the young man's eyes light up at the sight of the weapon, "I'd be more than happy for you to use some of my share of the coin to buy your toy."
Vin holds open her now quite heavy coin purse, offering Kes whatever he needs to cover the cost.
Bromn looks at the young Bard “I don’t have any used ones, no, but I tell you what, we call it 60 gold and you bring me any more weapons and armor that you “find” and you give me first crack at them, that sound fair?”
Yes, Con your scowl falls on a child who’s looking back over his father’s shoulder as he’s carried down the street. He meets your gaze and for a moment his eyes go wide but then he blows a raspberry and flips you the bird.
"Sure, let me come with you. I'd like to trade this light crossbow and scimitar I picked up for a hand crossbow and some bolts."

(Mendax, you want to Help me in the negotiations or the other way around? I've got a +6 in persuasion)
((I'll help you))

Kestrell reaches out to shake his hand: "Much appreciated, Bromn. Thank you. Now, what do you have for hand crossbows and bolts?"
((Everyone gets 43 gold, 7 silver and 5 copper!))

((Also, Hildi could buy the ring and necklaces you got off of Dead-Eye...))
"Thanks Vin, but that is not necessary. I can save up for it if Bromn doesn't have a used one."
"Also, we still need to sell the ring and necklaces."
"Bromn, do you have any used hand crossbows?"
Con entertains himself by glaring at random passers-by, trying to put them on edge. Intimidation 14
*sigh*

"Yes, that sounds fair. Although, it is still more than I want to spend at the moment. Let us see how we do with Hildi."
Kestrell goes over to Hildi and shows her the jewelry. "Alright, how much can we get for this?"
