Dewey: He seems to take some offense at your statement. "Every item in this store is of the highest quality and usefulness!" He rubs his forehead in frustration and accidentally smears one of his painted on eyes.
Sol Rhea: If it wasn't covered in purple dye, and it was polished, it might be worth 10 gp. Unfortunately the dye has ruined it, even the 4 gp he's asking is a rip off.
“Listen.” Dewey says quietly as he leans over to Xoblob. “I get that all of the nock-nicks and Jimmy-hoos are kept up front for the tourists and rubes. But my man here, Randy. He might not look it but he’s what you call a world traveller. A back door man if you know what I’m saying. So what sort of hidden treasures are shoved into the recesses of your parlor that you might be willing to let us get our hands on?”
Randy, resigned to waiting for his companions, remains standing facing the door to Xoblob's store. He is still, with his hood continuing to conceal any expression he may have on his face. The red veins on his skin pulsate slowly and faintly.
Kevin: While Dewey is chatting up the shopkeeper, you deftly pocket the warm trinket without Xoblob noticing.
Dewey: His eyes (the real ones) light up in understanding. He smiles and says, "Say no more my good man." He ushers you to the back of the showroom and pulls aside a curtain, it reveals a bookshelf full of different trinkets. Unlike the trinkets in the rest of the store, these are not dyed purple.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dewey: Your Divine Sense detects nothing. Your cat eyes however, spot a shiny copper badge usually worn by the Griffon Calvary of Waterdeep. (OOC: You can see the Griffon Calvary in one of the pictures in the first post of this thread.) "6 gold," says Xoblob.
Sol Rhea: You take interest in a small cheese knife. "That knife allows the wielder to cut through any cheese with ease, regardless of how hard the cheese is. Amazing thing." Xoblob says. "3 gold."
Randy: You notice a small handkerchief. "That is capable of absorbing and holding four pints of fluid, it can be wrung out at any time to release the fluid. 3 gold."
Kevin: You focus on a small glass jar. Xoblob smiles with glee. "When you fill that with nuts at sundown, will be full of the butter of those nuts at sunrise. Can you believe it?! 2 gold."
Randy peers at the handkerchief in consternation. Under his breath he mumbles, "That might actually be useful." He walks over to the counter and tries to influence Xoblob to give him a better deal. With both his spoken words and his mind he impresses on Xoblob, "Pleasegive meabetter deal."

“Anything in this store that isn’t totally weird and will actually make a wandering Paladin life better?” Dewey asks.
