Zargaroth tries to scare the bandits off with Thaumaturgy. Some of the bandits seem like they want to run, but one look at their captains puts them back into their place. They’re more afraid of the captains than they are of you.
Ethan reveals his literally dark secret when he changes into a twisted being of darkness with death circling around him.
Bandit Captain 1 - 7
Bandit 1 - 15
Bandit 2 - 12
Bandit 3 - 10
The captain you approached is terrified, and so are two of the bandits in his group. One member of his group stares into your face. He’s scared, but not enough to run away.

There are a total of 12 bandits. 2 of them were frightened away by Ethan for the next minute. The other 10 split into two groups. Half of them pull out crossbows and aim at the party. The other half draw their blades. The ones with scimitars (who I’ll refer to as SB) charge at Ethan, coming from both sides of the line.
They all have separate hit points, but I’ll add up their attacks together. They’ll have the attack modifier of a single attack, but with advantage so they don’t all hit or all miss.
The 5 SBs surround Ethan and attempt to slash him with their scimitars.
Attacks on Ethan:
The attack roll would need 15 to hit. Attack: 9 Damage: 3
The SBs miss. The bandits with crossbows (or CBs) aim and shoot at the “terrifying” tiefling talking to them.

Cora pops out of the carriage and sees the bandits.
"Oh, hi there! I'm Cora and we're taking this cart to Cython! We're in a bit of a hurry - Mr. Flamey will catch you up on the details!"
Cora summons a flaming sphere behind the crossbowmen. It crashes directly into one of them, they make a DC 16 dex save or take 2d6 (7) fire damage, half on a success. At the end of each of their turns, anyone standing within a 5' radius of the sphere (10' radius total) makes the dex save as well and takes the damage.
Eira takes out her longbow and aims at the first CB at the far left. "Two can play at that game... or rather six. Maybe seven? Oh, there's too many people here!"As she aims at the CB, she whispers a command and her eyes flash a sudden green. The light disappears as quickly as it came before she lets the arrow fly throw the air towards them.
Bonus Action: Hunters Mark at the CB she aimed at.

Zadoris feels the carriage stop, and then hears the cries of battle. With a smile he stands and rushes out of the carriage. Turning he sees his foes surround Ethan, swords up and attacking.
Zadoris moves, his left hand gripping the sheath and his right the hilt. Once near he draws and strikes all at once.
Attack: 23 Damage: 14
Burning a spell slot for eldritch smite (on a hit can spend a spell slot to deal 4d8 damage and knock prone: 18
Will then attack another near him with the second attack Attack: 15 Damage: 10
Eira’s eyes flash green for a split second and you can see the marked enemy starts shaking. She feels like she’s being watched by a predator. Two arrows fly out of the longbow, with the arrowheads turning green mid-air. They both hit the bandit woman and she seems to have survived, until she falls on her knees.
((I gave them a little more health as a test to see how fair the battle would be and you got her exact hp with your two attacks.))
Zadoris runs towards the SBs around Ethan, sword in hand. As he swings his sword for the first time, the blade is surrounded by a dark aura. He cuts through the leather of one of the bandits, wounding him a little. The wound starts burning (in terms of irritation, not fire), and the man starts screaming in pain. He falls dead, and twitches for a couple of minutes.
Zadoris swings his sword at another bandit, but misses.

Two bandit captains start moving out of their line. One charges at Ethan, while the other attacks Zadoris. They each attack twice with their scimitars and once with their daggers.
Captain 1 on Ethan:
Scimitar Attack: 6 Damage: 4
Scimitar Attack 2: 21 Damage: 9
Dagger Attack: 10 Damage: 5
Captain 1 swings his blade twice, missing the first. With his second, he slashes into Ethan’s arm and deals 4 damage. He swings his dagger, but misses.
Captain 2 on Zadoris:
Scimitar Attack: 15 Damage: 5
Scimitar Attack2: 15 Damage: 6
Dagger Attack: 15 Damage: 7
Captain 2 lets loose on Zadoris, hitting him twice with the scimitar. He cuts through Zadoris’s arm and leg, dealing 9 damage. He misses with his dagger.
Captain must make a DC 15 wis save or be frightened of Ethan. he will need to take an action to make another save on his turn to end the effect.
So DC 15 save to avoid the frighten effect and on his next turn he rolls against your spell DC to end the spell? Okay.
WIS save: 20
No, just the DC15 to have the affect. If he failed that then it takes an action to get out of it. He saved, so he is not affected and does not make any more saves. Sorry for not explaining well to start with.
Zargaroth steps forward and tries to catch as many of the Bandits as possible in the 15-foot cube of Thunderwave, however, he primarily wants to get the cbs in the Wave.
They make a Con save DC14, each of them takes:
7 Thunder damage (half as much when they make their save)
The SBs around Ethan are 25ft away. The CBs are 30ft away from the carriage. So I assume you move about 20ft and use Thunderwave in a cube centered around you, 15ft in every direction. You hit everyone in the fight except for the 3 enemies (SB1, CB2, BC2) that were frightened in Round 1 by Ethan’s Necrotic Shroud. BC1 and BC3 - 5 Remaining Bandits - 4 Ethan - 12 Zadoris - 10
And... everyone who rolled failed. That’s 7 damage each to Ethan, Zadoris, and all the enemies. Everyone is knocked back 10ft away from Zargaroth. Zargaroth also has to make a DC 16 dex save from Cora’s fireball radius.
9
Zargaroth takes 4 fire damage instead of 8 due to his hellish resistance.
Ethan
In light of the Thunderwave, you are now inside the bushes that surround the trail the carriage was going on. I’d say this is difficult terrain now. The captain you were planning on attacking is still within 5ft of you, so you do a total of 21 damage. The captain yells out, “You’ll pay for this!” and he calls out to the bandits around to assist him.
Bandits
SB2 moves 10ft to attack Ethan as he is the closest. CB2 also attacks without moving.
Cora is knocked over by the impact of the bolt and falls back into the cart, but gets back up an instant later, her shoulder behind the railing so that the crossbow bolt can't be seen.
"You missed me! See? You can't see the bolt, can you?"
Deception: 4
She sends the flaming sphere hurtling toward the crossbowmen, hitting one of them (CB1 if possible, if not then the closest to sphere.)
Flaming sphere damage: 2 fire damage, half on DC 16 dex save.
Finally, she pulls out a tiny bell and rings it once. When the clapper hits the bell, a much more ominous ring is heard than expected.
Toll the Dead on the captain with lower health. 14 necrotic damage, DC 16 Wis save negates all.

Zadoris stumbles back nearly a dozen feet as he is caught in the blast as well. His ears were ringing slightly but it did not break his focus. Turning to the nearest foe, he set his intent to kill upon him and then pursued with his sword to end his life.
The crossbowman yells out in pain. He looks quite burned. The captain hears impending doom with the ring of the bell. He starts panicking a little.
Malyra
She hops out of the carriage and moves 30ft down the trail. Standing next to the corpse of one of the bandits, she raises her mace to the air. A bright light flashes out for an instant.
Zadoris, Ethan, and Zargaroth, you feel Blessed. You can all roll a d4 and add it to your next save or attack roll.
Malyra slams her weapon into the ground, summoning a large golden mace Spiritual Weapon.
Zadoris
You feel blessed by the gods as you charge towards SB3. I assume you cursed this enemy and added that +3 bonus to damage.
With your first attack, you slash the bandit’s leg, leaving a black scar. In a graceful motion, you spin and cleanly chop off the bandit’s head, killing it instantly.
Due to the nature of your pact, once again, you are the only one that sees a black figure rises up from the corpse and lay a hand on your shoulder before being absorbed by your longsword. You were healed for 10 HP. You are back to full health.
A semi-transparent magical shield around Ethan is visible. BC1 attacks Ethan 3 times, each attack glancing off the magic shield. He's clearly frustrated, as one attack had almost gone through.
BC3 runs 10ft towards the carriage and attacks Malyra.
The captain swings twice with his scimitar, but both attacks are quickly blocked by Malyra’s shield. She pushes the scimitar away after the second attack and is left vulnerable to the dagger. The captain stabs her in her side, dealing 5 damage.
BC2 ferociously attacks Zargaroth. He swiftly swings his scimitar, hitting both blows. The second attack was a critical hit, slashing into his chest. He then stabs the tiefling with his dagger. He deals a total of 17 damage.
Zargaroth tries to scare the bandits off with Thaumaturgy. Some of the bandits seem like they want to run, but one look at their captains puts them back into their place. They’re more afraid of the captains than they are of you.

The crossbowmen are in a straight line of 5, parallel to the carriage and Eira and Ethan’s horses.
The flaming sphere forms behind them and hurls toward the man in the center.
Bandit dex save: 12
Eira takes out her longbow and aims at the first CB at the far left. "Two can play at that game... or rather six. Maybe seven? Oh, there's too many people here!" Ethan casts Wrathful Smite
He then casts booming blade
To hit: 23
Damage: 9 slashing + 4 psychic + 1 thunder.

That’s how I understood it after reading the wrathful smite description. You’re fine.
I need an action from Zargaroth before I go on. He’s still at full health since I undid that massive mistake.
Zargaroth steps forward and tries to catch as many of the Bandits as possible in the 15-foot cube of Thunderwave, however, he primarily wants to get the cbs in the Wave.

SB2 moves 10ft to attack Ethan as he is the closest. CB2 also attacks without moving.
SB2 - Attack: 12 Damage: 5
CB2 - Attack: 20 Damage: 6
SB2 attacks with his scimitar and misses. CB2 loads a bolt into his crossbow and shoots, hitting Ethan in the left shoulder for 6 damage.
CB3 and CB4 each shoot a bolt at Zargaroth.
CB3 - Attack: 21 Damage: 8
CB4 - Attack: 14 Damage: 9
CB4 misses, but CB3 does not. She hits Zargaroth for 8 damage.
I just realized the Necrotic Shroud fear is over as well. SB1 and CB1 move 30ft back towards the party.
Since crossbows have insane range, CB1 can also attack. He shoots a bolt at Cora.
CB1 - Attack: 18 Damage: 9
The crossbowman hits Cora for 9 damage.
It is now Cora, Malyra, Zadoris, then Eira. This took some time to calculate so I put in your health changes for you.
Cora is knocked over by the impact of the bolt and falls back into the cart, but gets back up an instant later, her shoulder behind the railing so that the crossbow bolt can't be seen.
"You missed me! See? You can't see the bolt, can you?"
Deception: 4

Toll the Dead on the captain with lower health. 14 necrotic damage, DC 16 Wis save negates all.
"Ding Ding!" Cora calls out cheerfully.
Eira moves her aim to CB2, uttering a command once again before letting two more arrows fly.
Bonus Action: Move Hunters Mark to CB2
Action: Longbow Attack 1 - 17 Damage - 6 Hunter's Mark - 6
Longbow Attack 2 - 18 Damage - 5 Hunter's Mark - 6
(If CB2 is already injured) Colossus Slayer Damage: 6
Zadoris stumbles back nearly a dozen feet as he is caught in the blast as well. His ears were ringing slightly but it did not break his focus. Turning to the nearest foe, he set his intent to kill upon him and then pursued with his sword to end his life.
bonus action: Hex blades curse

Cora
You begin by sending your flaming sphere to CB3. Then you bring a bell out and ring it to Toll The Dead.
CB3 dex save: 14
BC1 wis save: 22
The crossbowman yells out in pain. He looks quite burned. The captain hears impending doom with the ring of the bell. He starts panicking a little.
