Dash WIS Save: 18 Athletics: 18 Attack at Tarak: 11 Damage: 11
Chase (1)
Abigail seeing others tear off into a mad dash follows suit. Springing from tree limb to tree limb and using her feline grace and agility to land by the others; but not before shouting back at Shatter.
Shatter, seemingly unfazed, begins to aim his pistol. He notices Lafetha begin to pull ahead but not before healing Morgan. Morgan's body suddenly being encased in a cold, ice armor. Tarak's hands glowing and healing him (Both lay on Hands & Dash are actions; can't do both. Sorry if I mistype something somewhere). The gunshot rings out, but is deflected off of the back part of Tarak's armor - while he reloads another round.
The crew is first to leap over the shrubs. Some just raw jumping, while others spring up to a hold of branches to swing by and land. Shatter leaps over, landing and continuing the pursuit.
(*bunch of edits to make things clear / keep in line / not have a lone person with everyone running off)
Distances of Crew to Shatter: Lafetha: 60 feet (Can be considered hidden & safe, but won't be able to assist any longer - including spells that impact the group.) Morgan: 20 feet Abigail: 30 feet (Can be considered hidden & safe, but won't be able to assist any longer - including spells that impact the group) Tarak: 20 feet Shatter is still following Tarak
The crew, taking twists and turns with Lafetha at the front continue to head forward. Shatter has lost sight on where Lafetha and Abigail are through the thicket, but the helmed hunter is still clearly focused on Tarak. The forest drops unexpectedly, the ground turning into a bit of a slide and may drop people straight down off the side of a small cliff.
Make a DC 10 DEX SAVING THROW. Fail, and take 5 damage, and land prone. It takes 1/2 your movement speed to stand back up. (Morgan & Abigail benefit from Tarak's aura)
Yelling back as she runs, Abigail continues to troll Shatter (Vicious Mockery (DC 13)4)
"Hey, Shatter, for real though; why are you such a goblin? Are you so unsure of your skills that you would lie in wait for us instead of challenging us outright? You, who seems to be so bad-ass?"
Lafetha is first to skid to a stop, the others turning and scrambling to avoid going down the hill and rolling. As they turn and continue their running - Shatter is right behind them. Tarak and Abigail once again attempt to confound and scare off the hunter; but to no avail.
Shatter, too, doesn't notice the ledge. Falling down with a resounding thud (6) before getting back to his feet and tearing after the crew, rolling out of the way of a incoming Web spell from Lafetha as he recovers from the fall.
Chase 3
Distances of Crew to Shatter: Lafetha: 50 feet Morgan: 45 feet Abigail: 15 feet Tarak: 5 feet Shatter is still following Tarak
Shatter is behind Tarak. The footsteps and the sounds of breathing echoing through the helmet echoing a bit as heavy footsteps crunch twigs underneath.
Glancing over their shoulder: Abigail, Morgan and Lafetha can all see the two incoming attacks from Shatter's blade coming at Tarak, having caught up to him enough to be in striking distance - but not to the point he can pin him down.
Lafetha & Morgan: A nearby tree is mostly rotted and if struck hard enough (AC 10 / 8 HP) - would fall across Tarak and Shatter. Abigail's a bit further ahead, preventing danger. If Tree Falls: DC 14 Athletics or Acrobatics, or it counts as 5 feet of difficult terrain.
Shatter doesn't dash... takes two wide swings being close enough to Tarak at the start.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Abigail continues her verbal assault [DC:13]:2. "Maybe that is why Morgan has lost interest in you; you only look bad-ass in all your regalia. That fragile ego of yours is so pathetic you need armor and cheap moves to keep you from becoming known as the worst mercenary this side of the badlands!"
Tarak feels the wind being cut behind him. Shatter's blade inches away but only one of the two swipes manages to strike deep into his side (14). Using the moment, Tarak takes off at full sprint.. hoping to put some distance between the two. Lafetha grabs Morgan's arm before pointing back at the incoming Tarak and Abigail. Clearly the two of them with a plan.
Twin beams of arcane force pummel a rotten tree base; the wood falling over. Tarak takes to a quick slide under the falling branches while Shatter runs into it. Forced to waste precious time hopping up and over it.
In that moment, Lafetha - with everyone together - casts. The shadows of the forest seeming to swallow them up before the crew continues to take off in a different direction. Shatter eventually catches up, looking down and seeing their footprints simply... gone.
A huff comes from under the helmet. "Looks like I under estimated the unknowns." He begins to slowly search, seeing if he can pick up the trail once more. "...won't happen again."
The crew continues to run. Knowing that while the trail may be cold right now... Shatter's mount is a giant bird. And they have to get back to town through the open.
A bit of luck does have them finding the two mules. Jumping on to them, they take off as fast as possible. The mounts a little bit slower due to the weight of the crew on them... Lafetha nearly as fast as one normally.
It takes some time, but sweaty and panting... they do arrive back in town within a few hours. They did notice a large bird take flight once they were about two hours away from the woods. Seeming to circle around.... like a vulture... waiting.... watching.
Still not having a moment to rest, the crew is safe back at town. Now with assassination job from the person in the woods. And knowing that Shatter is an hour or two away from catching back up; if you stay at all....

Tarak starts by heading to the tavern. While there he asks around about the guy he needs to kill. He asks Abigail to come with since she has more agile fingers and suggests “Morgan go back and get the ship ready to leave. Maybe spread some rumors about us heading a different place than we are.”
Morgan throws their hands in the air "That suuuUUUUcked! Tarak! we have a very skilled bounty hunter on our tails and you're making it easy for us to be found... Alright, the faster we do this the less eyes we have on us and the faster we can move somewhere that Shatter isn't."
Morgan follows Tarak and helps them keep a lower profile.
Abigail joins the chase.

Deception 20
Morgan throws their hands in the air "That suuuUUUUcked! Tarak! we have a very skilled bounty hunter on our tails and you're making it easy for us to be found... Alright, the faster we do this the less eyes we have on us and the faster we can move somewhere that Shatter isn't."
Morgan follows Tarak and helps them keep a lower profile.
Lafetha will tag along with Tarak and Abigail to the tavern just in case things start to get out of hand.
Abigail shrugs, "Fine. I wanted a drink before we set sail anyway."
At the bar, Abigail will order a drink and look around, suspicious of everything and everyone right now. (Perception: 18)
