Tarak and Wilson check out the fragments of footprints - but they're a bit too old to determine much about them. Medium sized bipedal third of a footprint, exactly what you'd expect for the area.
Lafetha, with you digging around the barrel, it's exactly what you thought it would be. Extra dirt with some rotting fish as a fertilizer. Some native plants that are urine soaked and could be burned as a cheap bug repellent. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Morgan rubs the urine soaked plants across their face, clothes, and exposed skin. It's much more likely the plants are designed to be burned - but beggars can't be choosers.
They enter the next section (8)...
The grove has been heavily cleared here. The ground built up to be stable - solid - drained. A lack of splashing now that you're on hard earth. Several open air buildings are placed around; all of them quite long to fit the saw mills and carts used to haul the trees around. On first glance it's empty. Some crates and barrels blocking a few of the nooks and crannies inside the open air buildings but nobody is moving around the wide open area.
It's easy to see that the path branches off (to C) close by into a path leading somewhere... and across the way it seems to lead elsewhere but it's too far to see from the angle of your entering (5 & 2).
Morgan feels it first. The ground underneath you is shaking...

Wilson watches Tarak clumsily recheck his work with the footprint, looking slightly offended he shakes his head and moves on to the next area.
Disconcerted by the shaking ground Wilson slinks along the edge of the area to the spot where C splits off glancing down that pathway to see if there are any threats obvious there.

Abigail quietly check over the lumber mill area, trying to figure out if she can establish how long ago there was activity in the milling area and if there are any tracks leading off toward various direction.
Abigail you begin to look around. There aren't any tracks from what you can tell when you glance around, and the tools certainly seem undisturbed but taken care of. Could easily be weeks - if not a few months - since anyone from the villages was inside and busy working. It could be seasonal... or it could be they left when the Ashgard show up, as it does fit the timeline the woman that hired you all fits into.
As you continue to look around, you also feel the rumble underneath. But something else catches your eye. Old etchings on the ground Morgan had gone over. Some sort of magical trap that was already sprung - but to what effect you don't know.
You notice two other very faint and well hidden etchings on the ground. One near Wilson, just a few steps ahead (leading to C). The other nearby the route that would lead into (area 2) - which from a casual observation is another heavily cleared out area; looking more like a section where people could live. You feel confident that there aren't any heading to (area 5) - another nursery but with trees that are older than sapplings.

Abigail hisses out to Wilson, gesturing for him to stay still, then attempting to point toward the symbols on the ground for him and others to take note of.
Not sure if there will be time before whatever is below us comes up, but if Wilson does not attempt to disarm the trap - because he is closer - Abigail will move over to the symbol next to Wilson and attempt to disarm it.

As Tarak feels the rumble he stops and eases his sword in his scabbard just in case. While he watches Abigail indicate the traps and begins to disarm them waiting for the all clear. He takes a bit of a glance around trying to figure out what the rumble may be.
Abigail steps over towards Wilson - telling his avian colleague not to move. Carefully she studies the spell-carved-trap into the ground. Seeing how it was written. Swiping would simply trigger it. Carefully Abigail chips at the dirt - filling in the lines that are set to go off is disturbed too much too fast.
It was about five minutes before she stands up with a nod, the trap successfully negated. Still, there is another one over by (heading into 2).
It's a moment later that the ground bursts from behind. Large digging claws appear out of the ground as the monster pulls itself out. It's dorsal side made of what seems to be polished stone, while the rest of it is a rusty yellow rock-like muscles. Abigail and Lafetha - you both recall seeing one of these "Land Sharks" back on the Widowpeak Mountains once during your time there.
It's digging claws move slowly around the ground, as it's face seems to look over in the vague directions of where all of you are. You're not entirely sure if it can see you, or if it is merely feeling where you are due to being on the ground. A low rumble of the collapsing tunnel it came from echoing behind the monster fills the air while it moves its paws in semi circles while walking further along...

Wilson tries to silently mimic leading the creature into the other trap. Looking to the others he holds his breath then slowly unfolds his wings. Launching into the air and flying to the other side of the only remaining trap.
Once across it he folds his wing and drops heavily to the ground.

Wilson lands... The large head of the beast looking over as he breaks out of stealth, taking to the air and landing. It beginning to move over towards him as it starts what is likely a charge. But, the ground slips under Wilson's taloned foot. Crossing over the carved in earth material.
It flashes quickly... triggering....
The earth itself shifts. Clouds of dust twisting and twirling. A wind rushes in as these 8 wolves appear, surrounding Wilson. They seem to be made of earth, wood, and stone. Growling...

Initiative 18 Morgan swings the ghost blade in and almost dance, severing some of the ties of gravity around them, fly and will hover 15 feet in the air.

Also, I though it worth while to note here what Abigail brought with her in regards to weaponry, since she obviously cannot bring her entire arsenal.
With her: Tabaxi Longsword, Shield on her back. Tabaxi Handaxes x2 by her sides. Claw Barbs on claws. Dagger in boot.
On the boat: Alul's Greatsword, Bow and arrows, short swords, trident, and silvered gauntlets.
