Abigail stops at the edge of the swamp, seeing the illusion disappear. "I hateillusions." She looks around, then up at the raging storm being, the wind biting against her skin. "Ya... Nope." She starts to edge her way over toward the entrance of Area 2, yelling up at Tarak,
"Remember when I said, you needed to come through with some major heroics? This would definitely be a start!"

Abigail is going to start moving over toward the entrance of Area 2, take the Dodge Action this turn, just in case the storm increases, or moves toward her.

Tarak staggers back as a chunk of debris slams into him. When he hears Abigail hollering at him he smiles and quickly plants his feet against the wind.
”I am a paladin if the Faith. I am here to protect these people. You may not have them!”
He launches into another attack.

Summary: The storm continues to rage. Wilson shouting, while flying over to the crew towards the Tornado. Abigail hunkers down, beginning to move towards (area 2) a bit.. after seeing Tarak get caught up in the storm. The first series of blows coming down but with swift thinking - a shield appears. Deflecting it away while he swings at the creature. Another blow bursts through the shield (22); striking him square in the face.
Abigail attempts to rally the Paladin (+10 Temp HP), while rocks strike both Lafetha (3) and Tarak (3), with Morgan ducking out of the way. Sending over a torrent of arcane force that hits the swirling monster (5), before giving Lafetha a bit of inspiration while she begins to cast. Seeing the knot of spectral anchors and chains locking in this primal force drawn from... somewhere. She weaves and moves her own hands - and with a whisper on a breeze... the beast is gone.
Trees returning to normal. The wind fading... nothing but displaced dirt, rocks, and water remain.
The crew looks around; some more injured than others. Some more spent on their talents than others. You know taking a short rest inside a grove you're trying to infilrate, with likely druidic protector would be difficult... but feigning a retreat? That could work...
Tarak gathers the group together and says “Whoever that was, was able to observe us and control that thing from a distance so it is safe to assume we are still being watched. We should head out of here. Rest and then return.”
Assuming everyone agrees he leads the way out Through 5 up and around.
Abigail looks at the condition of the group, before responding to Tarak, "Ya, I think we need to catch out breath before attempting to move forward. Any element of surprise we had is likely lost, so we might as well be thorough and prepared for whatever is ahead."
Morgan, too, agrees. Knowing that they'll regain their magic if they get a moment to catch their breath.
The group heads out. Fleeing from the woods and heading off a little ways. Roughly half an hour-ish. It takes some time, but they find a spot to sit and rest. Keeping eyes towards the horizon while they take a moment to stich wounds, take a bit of food in, and remove some rocks and water from their shoes.
You all get a short rest ((can spend HD to recover hitpoints))
As their camp is packed back up - no signs of anyone leaving was spotted over the hour. Believing that the trick worked, the group begins to head back towards the cypress grove.
So Far... Hallway A - Cleared. 6 & 5 - plant nursey. Cleared 8 - wood mill. Cleared. Hallway C - looked down. Trap removed. Unknown on other side. 2 - semi walked around and looked through. Living spaces. 1, 4, 7, 3, - Unknown and no knowledge
Party can choose how they approach the woods (any stealth rolls, casting spells ahead of time, etc), as well as if they're beginning at any marked cleared location.
The Crew once again head back into the liar... maneuvering around the paths and out of the water. Glancing back and forth as they retrace some steps before heading to...
Area 2
Dozens of large circular homes are laid out before you as you all enter the area. There doesn't appear to be anyone moving around; just the wind causing some shutters to clack against the homes. Water streams down from the roofs; having been made to force water off the roof and into smaller collection areas. The ground here is fairly firm; the bog more filled in. A large brick oven sits in a small courtyard. Two stone wells sit between large groups of homes, with the ruins of what looked like a third.
A small path leads out, heading over to (Area 7)
The woods and remaining bog still remains around, providing cover and difficult terrain for anyone moving through, rather than on the paths.
Abigail moves over toward the oven ((and then to one of the houses - if nothing happens at the oven)), attempting to figure out if this place was recently occupied, and by whom.
Abigail slinks around the homes and the fire... the actual oven has likely been out for some time now - months at the very least. The interior needing to be cleared out and new wood placed inside. It's quite well made though. Sturdy. The clay likely imported from elsewhere with slight discoloring showing that some kind of mineral is also in there which likely assists in its durability. Deciding not to spend too long thinking on Loxodonic crafting, she slips through the houses and around the corners.
A large bowl for food; mostly eaten meats and decayed plants. A trough for water. Scratch marks in the ground.... it's likely where the landshark was. And possibly a pet? Means this spot has been traveled too off and on, yet there aren't any footprints. Washed away in the rain or simply they haven't been here in a day or two....
Continuing to glance and look, inside Abigail finds a small room with some materials. A series of small stones carved into faces with some incents; likely what you saw in the house the Ashgard were worshiping. Pen and Ink. Something written with checkmarks; but it's all in Loxodon. As well as a single spell scroll of Alarm.
Heading into a joining room, you notice two large birdcages. One of them is empty, while the other has a reddish-brown colored hawk. A covering over it's face as it's head pivots around, listening but not yet squaking. The body type, size, and curve of it's beak makes it clear that it's a cousin to the Whitehawks you encountered - and nearly died to - in the Widowpeaks. Again no signs of people having come by in the past few days, but it's clear that the site is being used.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((In the room with scroll Abigail casts Comprehend Languages in order to read what is on the 'To Do' list.))
Abigail returns to the group. "The place appears empty, but I would guess someone has been here in the last day or so - mainly because they left a bird in a cage, and it has not perished yet."
"I am going to scout ahead into the next section," she says, pointing over toward the path. "Just give me another minute before you join." With that, Abigail starts to make her way down the southern path.
Perception: 18 - because traps in this place seems to be a thing.
