"Damn it!" Abigail shouts, as Lafetha gets carried away by a wasp. She hesitates for a moment, trying to figure out if it is worth chasing after her and risking the ship and the rest of the crew, or just cut their losses and continue on.
INTERNAL MONOLOGUE:Abigail, you need to stay focused on the task at hand - getting through this section of the river. Yes, but what about Lafetha? You must think about what is best for the entire crew. Syrabina would never have left one of us to die, what sort of captain am I aspiring to be?!Yes, but look where that got not only Captain Syrabina, but the whole rest of the crew?!Shut up! It was not her fault. I know who to blame. Cutting and running is what got me into this mess in the first place.No. Cutting in running is why you are still alive today, and it is what will keep you and the rest of the crew alive for the remainder of this horrific day.I do not want to be that person any more. I cannot live with the guilt of it.Yes. Yes you can. You are a survivor, you are self reliant. You do not need anyone else.I need a ship and crew to exact my revenge. So, ya, I would say I do need others. Or, you could just let all of than anger and fear go.You do not need to continue your quest for revenge. Think of where that got Alul...We are nothing alike! I am attempting to let people into my life, he shut everyone else out. The reason he failed was because he did not care enough about other!
After a brief hesitation, Abigail cuts the ship after Lafetha.

Section 8 (Round 2)
Wilson takes off into the sky, striking at the insect with his blade; attempting to get Lafetha out. Two crackling arcane pulses of energy fling from Lafetha, striking that same insect. It's exoskeleton cracking. Wilson grabs ahold of them, guiding them back to the boat with his wings before crashing on the deck. A little bruised from the tumble but ok. Sim notices one of the bees still targeting him, and unleashes an arrow which sticks deep into it's mid section; before jumping prone and letting the bug's wispy sticky legs pass over him.
Abigail, turns the boat. The sounds of the wood and the hull creak against the river. Water splashing over the side as it shifts, part of the flat bottom lifting out for just a moment. She holds it long enough for Wilson to crash back down, before letting the wheel come around. Turning and with what seems like ease, gets the boat back into the currents.
Section 9
"Great work, Abigail! Seems like you're a natural at the helm," Rollo calls out. He looks over to Wilson, giving a nod "and good catch. Haven't seen you do that in awhile." Rollo looks out on the horizon. "More of them before what looks like a drop!" He stomps his foot a few times on the deck, which is followed by a few pounding from below. A reminder that Mr. Firmin is down below working on that engine.
A muffled "Did someone say something about Salty?" comes from the deck below, clearly a few minutes behind in the conversation as steam continues to pour up and out of the slats on the deck.

Summary: The swarm begins to descend on the boat. Sim turns, firing a arrow at one coming after him, before rolling out of the way and moving to Lafetha. Lafetha's vines swing wildly in the air before she goes flat under the bug's sticky legs, it flying past her before both her and Sim get back up. Morgan's arcane energies once again fly out - incenerating one of the insects as she notices Rollo being taken up in the air by a bug. Leaping up, she grabs his hand and yanks him back down out of the wasp's legs. One bee manages to ensnare Abigail. Wilson quickly flies towards the creature, slashing at it once (3) before it continues to fly away - Abigail in toe.

And maybe these crew mates seem better then the ones we lost, so even it it was my fault maybe a thank you is in order. Anyway, time to totally save the day!" Section 9 (Round 2) Summary:
Morgan's swings cause smoke and arcane energy to spike towards the flying bug. The bug drops a bit in the air to avoid the first blast, but manages to get struck by the second. Smoke pouring off of it's exoskeleton as it continues to move and fly; some of it's clearish blood leaking out from the joints. Abigail sings out a lullaby, the bug falling asleep mid flight and the two of them crashing into the water. Lafetha takes a swing with her vines, but unfortuantely isn't able to lash the creature before ducking. One of the insects grabs ahold of her, but Sim jumps up. The two of them pushing off the insect's attempt. Sim takes aim with a arrow, shooting the creature straight in the thorax; the creature tumbling in the air - bouncing off the small railing of the boat and into the water below.

A crack of bone as the wheel breaks two of his fingers in the sudden shift with his wrist instantly swelling up. A sharp curse before yelling back at the group "I'm fine!" Abigail, now in the water, is being pushed towards the boat. Unfortuantely the churning water makes it difficult to stay above the surface with air in her lungs.
