Lafetha stands at the bow of the boat taking in the fresh air, and enjoying the sites. She studies the sky and trees to see if she can determine if there will be any hardship on their journey nature22

(Tarak, you don't recognize anything about the group that gave you the note; outside the seal is quite official)
The crew sets out, Abigail plotting a course and going over it with in some detail with Rollo. Heading down, crossing over, then connecting at a few other towns. Should be able to drive back up along a few of the rivers; even going against the current it should be fine.....
....8 days later....
It has not been fine. Some of the charts that Abigail used were accurate in regards to where the patchwork of rivers were. But not so much their depths or current. Running twice in dead ends and zones. Luckily with a bit of Lafetha's help - they don't get entirely lost. Several days are wasted, but at this point they're back on track. Tarak tends to stay by the rods, pulling up fish and snatching some of the birds and insects that get too close to the boat. Morgan tries periodically to make things snazzier, but the ship isn't equipped with any real spices. The food is decently cleaned and cooked.
For the most part, Rollo keeps them all on tight shifts. 8 hours doing something, and forcing them to rest the remaining of the time. It's turned Abigail and Morgan somewhat nocturnal, staying below deck to get some sleep during the day sun and waking up closer to sunset to grab a bite and go over anything interesting.
About noon one morning, Rollo stays at the helm. Tarak and Lafetha are out on the deck. Morgan, Abigail and Mr. Firmin down below; asleep and getting some rest from their previous days shift. A few clouds roll through the sky. Lafetha is the one to notice it. A note in the air. A single C sharp, getting louder. And louder. And louder. The worlds above flash as Tarak and Rollo both hear the words from Lafetha.
Brace
The sky darkens as color fades out from their view a singular beam of rainbow light striking somewhere nearby. It's hard to see exactly where. A shockwave of debris slamming through the trees and earth; overturning everything, sending rocks, trees, creatures scattering...
Tarak / Lafetha / Rollo. Make DC 14 DEX saves, with advantage, for half damage: 24 Rollo save: 15 (Rollo has 40 HP) Down below, Abigail, Morgan and Mr. Firmin are bolted awake as the boat shakes from the barrage of damage. Coming up and seeing the damage, they, and the crew on the deck can see the colors of the world returning but a fire burning off in the distance.
Mr. Firmin jumps into action, "Starfall!" He says excitedly, seeing to forget the damage. "Come on folks, look alive and get to shore. We're close, this could be big!"
Tarak sees the wave coming and kneels, while slamming his shield into place in front of him, he braces for the onslaught of debris.

Once everything has settled he rises and looks toward the source of the destruction. Hearing Mr. Firmin mention a star fall Tarak begins readying himself to go to the crash site. This could be important.
Morgan hears 'Starfall' and says under their breathe "You son of a *****, is this what the dream was about?" Out loud she calls "Wils... dammit! Sim... double dammit! Someone who saw that thing, how far out was it? cause that's going to change what I bring." If rowing will help Morgan will do that, they bring their cloak of Protection. If it doesn't sound like a days Journey they don't bring the two person tent. Morgan will address Abigail quietly "Honey-dumpling, I don't want to tell you how to do your job, but a lot of people heard that and a lot of dangerous people want that. We either need to get their first or be the last to fight for it. I think being their first is our best shot but I trust your judgement."
Tarak raises an eyebrow at Morgan stumbling over the names of the crew. He points in the direction where he can see the fire burning in the distance. “The Faith be blessed, it doesn’t seem that far off and if we’re quick we will be able to beat the treasure hunters and the local area militia to it. If we are watched over we might get in and out before anyone else even arrives, though I doubt it.”
Tarak disembarks from the boat and motions for the rest to do the same.
Tarak and Lafetha are able to duck and avoid most of the damage (18, each), while the boat fares a bit worse. All the exposed sections of the boat becoming hammered by the blast. The sails, oars, helm... parts ripped off and flying into the storm that continues to strike down into the countryside.
Rollo looks at the damage while he and Mr. Firmin, with the assistance of those rowing, take the boat closer to shore. Tossing out a anchor and giving the crew a change to hop over the side and into the water. Climbing up to the shore, overturned vegatation clutters the ground and a thick haze of dirt wafts in the air. The faint flow of a fire can be seen, but vision is impared in the hanging storm of particles. The air itself hot and choking, with a faint smell of ozone. As the crew begins to walk into it, periodically a small burning glass bead can be found sitting in the dirt. Or the random sound of one of these glass beads falling and sizzling somewhere out of sight.
Lafetha, Morgan, and Abigail - you're first to notice the faintest of outlines in the air. Faces that turn to look at you, before seeming to walk closer and vanish. Tarak misses them, until pointed out. There too faint and uniform to know how many, or if it's just something playing a trick...
Around the edge of vision, two lights seem to dance about. Then vanish. Then one comes back, before vanishing. And then both. From that same direction, a very faint voice. Lafetha recognizes it as Sylvan, while Abigail knows it's the same tongue that sometimes the witch Orta spoke. It is rather faint though... hard to hear over the sounds of the aftermath of the strike.

Not understanding what the voice is saying but seeing as they come from the same general direction they need to go Tarak looks to the others. “Anyone understand them? If not I say we press on. We need to make this quick.”
Tarak does try to figure out if he has heard of these light creatures.

Abigail turns to Morgan, "Morgan, I am not your honey-dumpling - but if you learned how to at least cook a decent dumpling, then maybe you could have some sort of value beyond your hex-work. However, you are right that we need to get there quick."
Abigail disembarks with the rest of the crew. She has no idea what those faces or whispers portend to, but anything worth money is probably going to have its set of setbacks and dangers. Unless told something interesting or informative from Lafetha, Abigail turns to everyone that got off the boat, Abigail says,
"Lafetha and Tarak, you were above deck when it hit, so you know what direction we should head in. Lafetha, since you know the wilds the best, you take point on leading us there. Tarak, I don't know you, but seeings how you should still know the general direction, and you look like you might be able to step in to help if there is anything that comes out swinging against Lafetha; you take second. Morgan, since I do not need you breathing down my neck, you will be third; and I will bring up the rear. Let's move out people."
Tarak and Lafetha lead the group, heading into the smoke. The sounds of pellets falling and striking the ground continue while they attempt to navigate. Lafetha's best guess; the crew is a few miles away from where it likely fell. Of course, that's assuming it isn't moving on it's own. Or didn't skid to a stop, or get buried into the earth.
The ground beginning to change from overturned earth to a fine ash. The air itself is hot, filling your lungs, as the smoke continues to linger. You're likely at the beginnings of whatever fell from the world above.
Walking towards you is a roughly five foot eight humanoid. It's skin seems to be made of starlight. The outline a blur, causing the eye to wander and unable to focus. Clutched in it's hand is a cruel looking dagger; made of that same fuzzy starlight. The creature is clearly not of this world.
Sylvan words seem to bombard the crew for a moment, as it quickly turns the dagger into a clear fighting position and moves to strike...
