Morgan looks for fractures on top of the ship that would would be over the captain's room to see if they can get to the room that way or get a peak at whatever is thrashing around in there.
Morgan glances around the bow of the ship; but knows that the Captain's room is the lone chamber in the stern - which is strictly under the water. With this boat being a similar designed keelboat to the Windhook, below would possibly be the cargo hold. But they're not entirely sure, due to modifications that can happen on any particular boat.
Sim slams against the door. It budges a bit before another slam of his shoulder pops the lock. The door hinges cracking a bit as it flings open. All across the room is a fuzzy, reddish, almost pollen like substance floating in the water. It perfectly hangs, floating and moving a bit from the sudden impacts on the door. The floorboards have small holes, no bigger than a gopher hole in them. The tail of something flicking as it slithers away and down into the lower hold of the ship.
The left side of the craft is blown a part. More fractured impact sights from whatever this boat fought. Two bodies also float in the water; bloated from being in the water. One appears to have burst open, and has possibly been a food source for whatever just slithered out of the room.
Wilson swoops down, coming in for a closer look. There's plenty of signs of creatures from the crocs to random birds that would likely inhabit the waters. Nothing seems out of the ordinary.
Morgan sees the cargo hold, "alright, let's see if they had anything worth taking... This is going great so far. I'm the best leader. The Captain will be so proud." And they try to get into what they assume is the cargo hold.
The Windhook, not that far away, continues to linger near the fallen ship. Rollo watching the crew continue to dive into the water to investigate the wreck.
Morgan, you comes across the hatch to the lower hold. It's a little stuck but nothing too severe. Crawling into the small, 2 foot tall crevice that works as a storage hold, is dark. Your eyes taking a brief moment to adjust to the low light. A few things slither behind you, but seem to stick to shadows. Darting in and out of impact sites all along the hull. This ship has been breached on multiple fronts from... something.
Ahead of you is a small floating ball - about six inches in diameter - Floating there in the water. Past it, a few crates of whatever the ship was carrying. Or was left behind.
Morgan glances at the slithering things in the shadows, "I wouldn't try it, friends, you'll regret it immediately." They pick up the ball and throws it towards the crates, before making her way to the crates and opens them.
Morgan grabs the small ball; a faint sound of some precise glass shattering. A blinding white flash of light forms in her hand before she can toss it away; exploding in her palm. (Morgan. DC 15 Reflex Save for half damage. 29 Force Damage)
Sim glances over at the bodies, (I'm going to say it's medicine to try and figure out anything about them, since you didn't mention going into the room to search them. So that's a 16). The one that's burst, it burst from the inside. And not in the 'natural gas' sort of way. Something came out of the chest cavity... But they've both been dead a little while.
Abigail looks over at red pollen, unsure exactly what it is. As she turns to give a shrug to Sim, the boat lurches and a blast wave strikes both Sim and Abigail (STR save: DC 12 or be knocked into the room full of pollen)
A column of water shoots straight up into the air, about thirty feet. Birds and creatures around Wilson spook at the sudden and clear underwater detonation. A high pitch strum of some kind of violin like string can be heard before the low hum of machinery. The brush parts, as semi-transparent columns of force rock out. A trio of dog sized, six legged clockwork... cannons open fire at the Windhook. Each one spaced out down the brushes, a good 40 feet apart.

Setup: Wilson is by the far bank of the lake. About 25 feet away is a six legged mechanical device about the size of a dog; a rotating cannon-looking-device sitting on the top of it. About 40 feet past that, is another (Automaton B), and 40 feet past that a third (Automaton C). Sitting about 80 away is the Windhook circling the sunken ship; now beginning to submerge entirely due to the explosion that just rocked. Sim and Abigail are by the sunken portion of the captain's cabin, about 40 feet under the water. Morgan, having gone into the storage section, is about 45 feet under the water. A pack of eel like creatures scurrying around nearby. Lafetha, having been on the boat, has a clear view of the 3 automatons 80 feet away. The mast had just taken a few direct hits; shards of wood flying in every different direction from the impact. Parts of the sails being torn from the blow.

"Cannon fire ahead, C'ptn. And somethings out there, couldn't find it though , whole thing sticks of an ambush."
