Suddenly, everything gets dark. The evening sun in Sharn that was previously peering through the buildings is now gone, and you see 8 glowing moons above you. The ground now seems further away, and you feel as if gravity is no longer holding you to the earth, as if you could lift up off the ground with the slightest movement.
You look down. The ground is gone, the library of books are all gone, and all that remains are the 5 of you, Rust Beard, Telos, Scipio, Durunga, and Flamewind, floating in the emptiness of space. It isn't cold, and you can still breathe, and you are remaining motionless in the air. Above you are the moons and the golden white Ring of Siberys, the ring of Siberys dragonshards that orbits the planet. Below you is the world, you can currently see directly below you is the large continent of Khorvaire, and positioned south of that Xen'drik.
Flamewind then says, "Don't worry, this is only a vision. We are just below the Ring of Siberys, the ring of magic formed from the dead Progenitor Dragon by the same name, created at the last moment of his life to protect the world from invaders, keep the demons in, and spread magic across the world."
"Look, there," Flamewind says, gesturing with the mage hand, pointing "up" at about a 45 degree angle to the right.
You see in the distance a large glowing purple orb, probably about the same size of a comet. It is coming towards the Ring of Siberys, and it collides with a giant Siberys Dragonshard, each of them bouncing off of each other, knocking the dragonshard out of the orbit around the Ring of Siberys.
"This will happen tonight, at midnight." Flamewind explains.

"The shard will be destroyed, or fall? The orb will fall? We're to deal with the fallout? We couldn't stop such a thing....could we? Should we, is it good?"
You see both the Orb and Dragonshard fall down to the planet below, crashing into Khorvaire.
"They aren't big enough to significantly damage the planet, but there is something worse than that," Flamewind warns.
"The Orb is not of this world, or even this sphere of existence. It is alien, an invader, not native to here. Even I cannot see what it can do or what it will cause to the planet. This concerns me."
"The Dragonshard will be claimed and sold to House Cannith."

"She? It is she right? Can tell the future. I'm guessing will be sold is different than could or might be sold. Maybe? I might be reading to much into your words. Miss the forest for the trees so to speak. "
(OOC, you would know who House Cannith is, they created the Warforged, and all other major inventions; lightning rails, airships, most magic items)
"I have not seen all, but both objects will crash into Khorvaire, and both will be sought after," Flamewind responds, "I do not need the Dragonshard, though it does have a fraction of the Draconic Prophecy inscribed on it, it does not pertain to us. It pertains to those who will claim it. Leave them alone, do not meddle, for their fates are determined. Yours are still in the sea of probability. You are to find the Orb, and report to me what it is and contains. I can sense that it is a magical orb created by powerful Abjuration magic, and it is alien, invasive to this world. It will only bring harm to us. It harmed Siberys, and this may weaken our protection from other worlds and planes."

"Anything can be sold by anyone if the right terms are reached. Besides what floating in the stars belongs to anyone save he that finds it?"
Flamewind turns to you and replies to your statement, "The stars belong to Eberron, they protect her from outsiders, and strengthen the bonds of the insiders. It is bad that this has come to pass. It can weaken the wards."

“A hunt!” Scipio exclaims. “Anything that threatens Eberron, threatens Vulkoor. I will lend my skill. You have treated me with honor I would expect nothing less than one who shares my homeland. I ask nothing of you now, but when I return I will ask of you guidance about my current bondage to your old friend.”
Scipio will turn to the others grinning, “seems fate tempts us with challenge and reward. I do not know these lands, nor it’s people well. I suppose we have been brought together to pool our strengths?”
(OOC do we know where they are going to land, or about? What time is it, can we get to the crash site before midnight? If not Rust is going to ask "where we need to be headin", if we do rust says "shovin off we needs to be doin.")
Durunga ponders on the words of the Flamewind. “You say it’s foreign, alien, unknown.... but uses abjuration magic. Is it to protect what’s around it, or to protect what’s inside. What do we do if we find this orb....... open?”
