(Okay, I'm just going to point out, Rust Beard doesn't need to stay in an inn. If he really wanted, he could walk to the ocean, dig a hole in the bottom, and bury himself to take a long rest, and then leave once he's done.)
So, Durunga is going to escort the party to an inn/tavern.
Where do you want to go, which district are you going to (or staying in), where are you shopping before hand, so on?

Scipio will follow Durunga to whatever tavern or inn she advises. She has demonstrated that she is adept at fighting and seems to have taken the lead. Scipio doesn't need to go shopping, he doesn't have alot of money. He will begin going over the maps and coming up with possible routes for whatever area the orb will fall with his wanderer background feature. So that they do not have to waste time plotting a route and can hopefully get there before others.
Feature: "You have an excellent memory for maps and geography, and you can always recall the general layout of terrain, settlements, and other features around you. In addition, you can find food and fresh water for yourself and up to five other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water, and so forth."

Durunga ADLs around for a reasonable and reputable inn close by, looking first for any city guard for aide.

You are able to find directions to the Golden Horn, a respectable inn that includes a library, many meeting rooms, and a small concert hall. It is run by a House Ghallanda Halfling named Jasper d'Cannith. It is closer than any other inn, but costs a bit more, 3 silver pieces for a day, but this includes breakfast and access to meeting rooms and the library.

Okay, you are able to find a map in the library of the Golden Horn if you choose to go there, and you can "memorize" it.

If we go to the inn Telos will rest for 4 hours and spend the rest of the night in the library looking for information on sphinx, dragon prophecy, and eavesdropping on others (mostly this one)
Durunga will pay for herself and use the library and resources to research Lord of Blades in the Mournland. Asking any librarian for assistance as well.
(common to illegal Rust Beard has a pirate background, and I think could get some aid from a pirate crew.)
Thom Everyman- Midgard One Shots
