MistBusters - A Curse of Strahd PbP

Bry stifles a shudder running up his spine caused by the voice by moving up to the wall and knocking on it twice, "Seems you're right, lets go in" he begins looking for a latch, lever, or button to open door. 

Investigation: 2

Bry can’t seem to determine a switch persay, but as he leans his hand on the wall, a section of it presses inward and slides open. You are greeted by a blast of cold air. A dark tunnel stretches for fifteen feet, ending at an archway beyond which lies a shallow cave.

Bry catches himself as he fumbles his way through the hidden door, "Ya, see just as I thought..."

Davmorn nods with mock sincerity, “Aye, lad, you’re a true visionary. What’s it look like in there?”

"Let's find out shall we?" Bry puts his hand on a nearby wall says a few arcane words making it Light up to show the path better and then proceeds down the tunnel toward the cave.

As the light flashes on, you see that the walls are covered in patches of Brown Mold that seem to emanate an unearthly amount of cold. Perhaps this was being used as a makeshift cooler?

Elwarith shivers a bit "c'mon we've got other things to kill....instead of hanging out in moldy old basements...."

"I kinda want to see what's in the cave, I bet it's a body, we are always finding bodies. Wanna put a gold on it El?"

"Sure...alright 1 gold says there's no bodies in there other than yours....you go on and check, and I'll stay out here."

"Deal!" Bry heads down the tunnel, to check out the cave.

How close is Bry getting to the brown mold as he walks along?

OOC: He would walk down the center of the hall, so I guess only as close as he would need to be?

As Bry makes his way through the tunnel, his foot unknowingly taps the edge of a patch of mold. In that instant, the heat that seems to constantly warm Bry due to his infernal heritage is forcibly leeched from his body. Bry must make a CON Save, or take 32 cold damage, or half on a successful save.

(OOC - you're right MC - there might be a body in there - YOURS!)

((Gonna be hard to get that gold.))

OOC: If I fail this save I go right to 0 lol 32 is the number of HP that I have, well here goes ...everything? 14

As the heat leaves your body, it goes into shock. The sheer amount of cold has knocked you unconscious while frost is collecting on your body, which is keeping you upright. However, there are two points of good news. The first is, you aren’t dead. The second is, your body is so cold, the mold has nothing to leech off of, so no more damage. Someone will need to retrieve you however, and I’ll be needing some death saves if they take too long.
