MistBusters - A Curse of Strahd PbP

“A prior engagement.” Strahd snaps his fingers, as a dozen wild men and women burst forth from the ground beneath him. They look similar to the figures you fought earlier, though some seem less magically inclined.

"Well aren't you just the ultimate ****." Grim says, thinking that strahd is just one of his hallucinations.

That one actually surprises Strahd for a moment, “That is... a new one. I would kill you first. However, I have promised this honor, to your old acquaintance.” The roots tighten on the statue as the druids slowly begin chanting. “You have, I don’t know, a minute before your demise. Please, try and stop it.” The nightmare vanishes as Strahd lands in front of Adanmar and motions for you all to try him. Roll Intiative!

"Oh **** he's actually here," Grim says suprised before giving him a cocky look, "guess two ******** might die today."

“Yes, and you will be one of them.” Strahd says a caped flourish as Gulthias roots writhe at his feet.

Adanmar Windblood

The Revenant grins in satisfaction. His Nemesi is just in front of him

"Nice to see you again Strahd, it will be a pleasure"

((Weekend busy so I will post my first round now to help))

Adanmar, after imbued his longbow with Arcane power coming from his Blood, he used his Blood Maledict (Curse of the Marked) to amplify (2x) the damage he will eventually deal to Strahd with his Crimson Rite. He fires with ferocity to the Vampire 

((Attack1: 18 Damage: 8 + 6*2 Radiant damage // Attack2: 25 Damage: 7 + 8*2 Radiant damage)).

"Yeah," Grim says, "I am, and the tree is the other. I said some ******** were going to die, I didn't say the *****. You don't die...yet"

Elwarith raises his hand "I'm an *******....so I might be one of those two....."

Druid1 will spend its turn chanting. Berserker1 will charge toward Adanmar and Reckless Attack, Attack: 25 Damage: 10, as will Berserker2, Attack: 17 Damage: 12. Druid2 will cast produce flame at Elwarith, Attack: 18 Damage: 6 fire damage. But misses completely and scorched a part of the statue. Berserker 3, 4, and 5 charge toward George and all reckless attack, Attack: 18 Damage: 13, Attack: 22 Damage: 9, Attack: 24 Damage: 4. Davmorn holds Sanctuary for when Strahd damages someone.  Strahd will walk toward Elwarith. Adanmar fires.  The arrow detonates in an explosion of light. Strahd head is completely vaporized. However, a moaning heartbeat echoes out as Strahd’s head knits back together in a mass of bone and shadow. Strahd took no damage. Strahd will then attack Elwarith with an unarmed strike,Attack: 13 Damage: 10 bludgeoning + 21 necrotic. However, Elwarith parries. He tries again, Attack: 23 Damage: 6 bludgeoning + 9 necrotic. Strahd, enraged that you hit his pony, grabs your throat and hoists you in the air, “You will suffer...” Elwarith is grappled! Davmorn casts Sanctuary on Elwarith. Druid3 will also produce flame and throw it at Grim, Attack: 21 Damage: 3 fire damage.

Strahd crit, extra 12 necrotic damage.

Edit: Davmorn nullified the crit, so it was only 10 piercing and 16 necrotic.

Bry is up!

Bry summoned a Chaos Bolt with all the energy he could muster and then pushed a little bit further to create a secondary one. The first he chucked at Strahd, and the second at Druid 1!

Attack: 25 Damage: 20

Attack: 10 Damage: 14

Edit: Both will be lightning damage

The electric bolt arcs through Strahd, he grinds his teeth and nearly drops Elwarith. He takes full damage. However, as the bolt shoots out of him, he grabs it with his free hand and crushes it to nothing. He turns his gaze to Bry, “Bry Ken-Dahli. I see you have learned new tricks from the last time we met. However, you only serve to hasten your friend’s demise.” Strahd expends 2 Legendary Actions to Bite Elwarith. Attack: 14 Damage: 7 + 9 necrotic damage. BUT MUST MAKE A WIS SAVE HAHA DAVMORN! Wis Save: 21 Curses! Wait! Davmorn can turn Crits to Normal hits, I will allow this one retcon and say that he did. He is still unconscious, however no death saves so that’s good.

Druid4 and 5 lob flames toward Bry, Attack: 8 Damage: 8 fire damage and Attack: 10 Damage: 3 fire damage.
