Davmorn remained quiet during the procession to the church as he did not understand the training to help Ireena and her father yet; but he said his silent prayers as they moved on. When they arrived into the church and overheard the father praying for his son, Davmorn became attentive in hopes of learning more and hopefully saving someone.
Although the screams from beneath the floorboards begs a different question. He watches closely to the father's reaction as Adanmar begins his inquiry.
At this point the priest notices the MistBusters and, while weeping, he begins to crawl towards Davmorn, seemingly paying little attention to Adanmar. His voices is tired and his eyes are puffy and red, "Blessed be the Morning Lord, for he has answered my prayer. Another champion of faith has come to help my family in our darkest hour. Blessed be the Morning Lord." By this point, the priest is essentially holding Davmorn's feet. Davmorn get the sense that he is truly sorrowful, but also there is a spark of hope upon seeing another cleric. He looks up to Davmorn, locking his weary eyes with the dwarf's, "My son, Doru, he has become a spawn of the devil Strahd. He has become like him, he hungers for blood at all hours of the night. Oh holy appointed one of the Morning Lord, tell me, what can I do to save my son? I cannot see him die, for he is my only child. I love him too much to let him die." He begins weeping again as he says this.
Davmorn pulls the priest up, attempting to bring him eye to eye with Davmorn. He was unsure of how to approach the subject of his afflicted son; Davmorn was not skilled enough as a cleric to heal Doru from a disease that may have been passed on to him but Davmorn had to do something.
"I may not be to do much about yer lad, but I will do what I can. Lead us down to see him and I will do everything in my power to do so," Davmorn attempted to reassure the cleric. ((Persuasion Check 13))

The priest clasps Davmorn's hands, "Yes, yes, thank you! You truly are an answer to prayer!" The priest leads the MistBusters to a trapdoor behind the altar. "I lost the key to this section of the house a long while ago. I fear I'll need to break the chain." The priest kicks at the lock. It takes a few tries, but eventually, the old rusted lock comes free. The screaming that had been continuously screeching throughout the church stops as the priest opens the trapdoor to you.

As the MistBuster's descend into the dark undercroft of the church, they see the curdled form of a creature amongst the shadows. The form rises off the floor, and a pair of red, inhuman eyes flicker in the darkness. For those with darkvision, you make out a gaunt, wiry young man with a hungry glare to his face. Behind him, his shadow seems to swell shift, almost independently. To those without darkvision, you only see the glaring red eyes of a blood-starved beast. Doru leans forward and runs along the leftmost wall toward the nearest target, roll initiative!
Doru: 95
Shadow: 49 ... I dont think that's possible. Again! 7 Ok there we go...
Bry is a little stunned by the priests answer, "That must have been difficult for you father"
[Before you all entered]
"Yes... It was the hardest decision of my life... but I want for him to have the chance to live. He may be a monster, but he is my son... I pray I can just redeem him." The priest lowers his head, and looks to you again, "Please, do whatever you can to save my son."

((Ok, so, in order to keep this somewhat sane. I'm going to say that you four, were the first in the room, and the rest of the team are directly behind you. So we'll handle this round, then hopefully we'll have all seven be able to act next turn. If they roll an initiative that fits, I'll incorporate them, but I'd rather not wait three hours for a few more initiatives.))
As Doru runs along the wall, his shadow looms across the room and races toward Davmorn. The shadow curls around the wall and attempts to sink its claw-like shades into Davmorn's shadow. ((22)) However, as it reaches out toward the dwarf, he deftly moves out of the way and moves his shadow just out of the shade's reach. The shadow then fades back into the darkness ((8))

Elwarith looks around for the bowl of holy water all churches usually have, wets a cloth in it and wipes down the blade of his rapier.
"You know....just in case...." he casually shrugs and whispers a prayer to his patron Mask.

Bry looks suspiciously at the Priest, "You lost the key? Then how did your son get down there?"

"At the ready, lads," Davmorn calls out as he begins venturing down with his axe and shield prepared for whatever Doru may have been turned into.
"After you Grim....." Elwarith smiles and lets the monk go before him. He then keeps his rapier at the ready.
