MistBusters - A Curse of Strahd PbP

((No worries, Grim! We all get busy from time to time :D))

Grim flashes and disappears for a moment from behind the hag and reappears in front of the hag, dropped low in a combative stance. The hag comes to a halt and tries to turn to run, only to encounter an iron fist to her jaw. She looks visibly stunned for a moment and raises her arms in an X fashion to block Grim’s next fist. However, as ki flows into Grim’s fist, it shatters her guard and (24) stands her ground. Her heels dig into the ground as the force tries to push her. Bry is next to act! Last he saw of the hag, she vanished, but George seems to have caught her scent as he jumped out the window.

As she recovers from Grim’s punch, she says between haggard breaths, “Wait... Wait... I can help you. Let’s make a deal. I have information. I’ll happily give you it if you let me turn around and leave. Eh? You seem like you all could use a friend in this dark place... Sounds like a *wheeze* fair deal... right?”

"we'll see" Grim says, "GEORGE, I WANT YOU TO GRAB THIS ONE."

"Wait, lets listen to the nuisance who grabbed fire. She, it, whatever it is, might be useful." Samudra suggests while looking distastefully towards the young hag.

“Yes, yes... the dragonkin is right. I know much, I can tell much, I can show much. A favor from you to me is a favor from me to you as well, you see? For instance... my mother was an ally of Strahd, your blonde friend doesn’t seem to like him very much... I can tell you of his friends... his secrets...” The hag wheezes between pained breaths.

"George, i want you to grab her, but don't hurt her unless I say to." Grim says staring st the hag.

Meanwhile, it is Bry’s turn to act.

 OOC: Ok, so I think if I remember correctly there were supposed to be two of them up here right? My question is does Bry know that or not? I honestly don't remember if there was a tell for him to know or not and I don't want to meta game.

((I would say that because you are an arcane guy, and because Grim did some reconnaissance, you would likely know that Hags usually try to come in threes. And Offilia specifically mentioned “avenging the coven” implying that you all broke it))

Bry watched as witches and warriors whisked through woefully opened windows, he thought slyly a wry comment or two, but instead turned an eye to the room. "Come out, come out, where ever you are" he called to wooden crate, wooden floor, wooden ceiling, and wooden door. "Or I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll burn your house down" See Bry was privy to coven history, and knew there'd be three, thus his plea. He raised his hands with arcane gesture, "By the way George will probably kill your sister" and with a word or two of the mismatched arcane Bry summoned up a ball of flame and he readied his wit for the havoc with which his words would be met. 

OOC: Readying a Firebolt as I move about the room, waiting to cast if the other sister should make her presence known.

Bry’s words seem to fall on deaf ears as best he can tell. There is no response, no vengeful shriek or yell. Only silence and the sound of croaking frogs and cawing hens from the ground floor. Which now, brings it around to Elwarith’s Turn. Currently, the hag sister, Offilia stands outside offering bargains, it is worth noting that she looks exceptionally rough. Bella, the other sister is nowhere to be found, and Morgatha lays split in two on the ground floor. Let this be a lesson, children, don’t talk to strange people, especially if one of them knocks your door down.

Elwarith stands in the broken window listening to the banter below with the hag...draws his bow and lets loose an arrow

"You can talk all you want....." he shouts

"But I don't haggle with strangers....."

For a moment the hag looks shocked as she puts up her hand to cries, “No!” However. That shock quickly dulls as the arrow pierces through her hand, into her eye, and out the back of her head, leaving one skewered hag eye pinned to the floor. Offilia’s hand falters, her knees buckle, and she falls forward, dead. You search for the remaining sister for a while, but it is clear she made her escape, Hags are spiteful like that. You also free the second child in the meantime, a seven-year-old boy by the name of “Freek.”  You know sit outside by the wagon, catching your breath for a moment. The town of Vallaki is within eyesight, but in the meantime... combat is over, you all yet endure, and reach level 5.

As you regroup, Davmorn and Ireena pokes their heads out from the wagon, “See! I told ye that they’d be fine, lass. Ye gotta our more faith in ‘em.” To which, Ireena nods, “Yes, you’re right, Mr. Davmorn. Forgive me for worrying everyone.” Ireena says with a bow and a slight smile, that soon turns to a perplexed look as she looks at Viorela. She steps out of the wagon and bows, “Forgive me, I do not believe we have met. I am Ireena Kolyanavich, daughter of the late burgomaster of Barovia. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.” Davmorn looks at Ireena and waddles up, “Aye, pleasure indeed. Davmorn Runehouse.” He says with an extended hand.

George now 5th-level barbarian.  George Athletics now +11.  George now have Extra Attack.  George can now grapple and shove on same turn.  Puny casters get 3rd-level spells, but George stronger.
