[Yeah. That's what I'm wondering too. Or, if the keep walls are 20 feet high or less, Novot would be willing to jump off to get to Fjordix. She's cray cray that way.]

Rex’s mouth locks and grinds as he sees Fjordix fall. He stands up to face Langdedrosa again, “A truly generous offer... And one I will return to you. I have served under the Queen. I have seen the metallics shun us for actions not our own. I have felt the hate, the rage. To think... you fully embraced this fate is a Herculean feat. However... I offer you unity. The chance to break the wills of those who would cause this division. The chance to destroy the dragon gods that have removed us from our rightful rule! I OFFER IO, THE TRUE LORD OF DRAGONS! AND I SWEAR NONE MATCH HIS HOARD NOR POWER!” [Persuasion: 11]While Rex is speaking, he is weaving a voice telepathically, a calm, soothing, one full of might, into the minds of the kobolds, “It is true... I offer you safety... unity... live in fear no longer...” [Deception on Kobolds: 10]
Langdedrosa shouts back up, "So the Prophet of Io really has come. Interesting. Frulam will be pleased to hear of this development. It's a shame you don't know your own prophecies, hatchling. 'And the herald of unity will proceed the rising of the Queen.' It is she who will bring true unity. All will bow to her fearsome reign." As Novot rushes out to help Fjordix, Langdedrosa grabs Sargeant Markguth's sister and shoves her towards the keep as he says, "Here is the female, as promised. I am sure we will meet again, hatchling. Maybe then you will realize how little chance you stand."
With that, he and his kobolds walk back into the darkness. A few of the kobolds stop and look back toward the keep, but continue after Langdedrosa.
One the entrance to the keep is cleared of raiders, a few healers head out to help Novot with Fjordix. One of them forces a liquid down his throat. [Fjordix gains 10 hp]
Rex starts scratching his scales again, and acrid fumes billow from his nostrils. “We’ll meet again alright... And next time, I might not be so generous...” Rex growls to himself. After his little grumble, Rex heads down to Fjordix and offers a hand to help him up, “Yeah... not gonna lie, Fjordix, we got beat hard...”
[Does Fjordix have a really cool chest scar now?]

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"That was stupid and brave," Novot says, helping Fjordix sit up. "Er, not to rub it in or anything."
She crouches in front of him for a second then stands up, patting him on the shoulder. "You'll be fine." As Novot steps behind him to head back to the keep, the tattoo that dominates the right side of her face glows faintly. [Casting Healing Word for 3 HP.]
[10 days?! Egads!] [Also: no more spells for Novot today :P Ah, good ole level 1]
Fjordix comes too with a start, his hands looking for his weapon before he feels the full weight of the thrashing he just took settle in. He lays back, his head spinning. "Damned Dragons" he says under his breath. As he stares at the sky he begins to think back to his people, all those that lost their life, and all those who's lives were ruined by the Dragon that attacked his ship. "Ancestors hear me, grant me the strength to defeat my enemy, show me the way"
“You know... Io is all about taking down the two dragon gods. He’s always looking for more prophets. Just something to consider.” Rex says as he takes a seat next to Fjordix.

[Cool: apparently it didn't keep my last post, that fine, I didn't want to really say all that cool stuff anyway.]
Arliden sits not on the other side of Fjordix, "Well, that didn't go quite as we planned but you were still pretty epic Fjordix. Striding onto the battlefield to face your destiny head on, unafraid of the consequences...ya, I could definitely write a song about that. It'll be even better when we find that dragon thing later and kick its ass."
"So how are you feeling Fjordix, need me to patch anything up for you?"
Fjordix looked at the group surrounding him, healing him, treating him as though he had done some great deed. He didn't feel brave, or epic, he felt like he had been brash and had come close to death because of it. He realized he was no match for that Dragon now, but as he looked around at the group he started to feel a bit of hope. He stood, using his Glaive to give him the leverage.
"I am fine for now Arliden, thank you all for pulling me back, it seems I have a score to settle and would not want to leave that unattended." Fjordix looked down at the scar that was now added to his chest, it was nearly parallel to the one he had been given by the Dragon that had taken everything from him. These beasts kept striking at his heart, and he knew one day they would succeed in cutting it in two; but with the help of these newfound allies that day was not today. "We should get back to the Governor and see what else we can do to help the town"
"I agree, it seems that the scaly brigade has retreated. Normally that means they got what they were looking for and we should probably figure out what that was."
Standing back up, Rex puts a hand on Fjordix’s shoulder, “If anything, you saved that girl’s life. You stopped another from becoming a victim like you did...” And walks back into the keep.

As Rex finishes that thought, Novot pauses (ever so briefly) and looks at the back of his head, then blinks and follows the crew back behind the keep walls.
As you go back into the keep, Governor Nighthill once again thanks you for what you've done to help his town. The raiders all seem to have gone, but the work of restoring the town has just begun. He urges you to rest for the remainder of the night and see him in the morning.
After a full night's rest [everyone gets a long rest], you are directed to a room where Governor Nighthill, Escobert, Sargeant Markguth, and a few others are already in a meeting. Governor Nighthill is in the middle of a very animated speech when you walk in.
"...Where is their camp site? How many raiders are there? Who are their leaders? What’s motivating these attacks? Where do they plan to strike next? We need these answers, and we need them now!" As he sees you, his tone softens considerably. "Ah, there you are! I cannot express enough how grateful I am for all you have done. Last night when you arrived, you said you heard something about the raider's camp being southeast of here. Some scouts have reported that their are definite tracks heading in that direction. I hate to ask, but you have proven yourselves more capable than any I have at my disposal. Will you follow these raiders and find answers for us? I will give you 250 gold pieces...each. Any supplies you may need, if we have them, they are yours. What say you?"
The color drains from Escobert's face as he hears the offer, clearly not having been informed of the decision to pay you each so highly.
"I would also be glad to help. I feel like something larger is at play here and I imagine that in addition to saving lives it could make a fine ballad one day." Arliden looks around and realized that almost everyone important in this town is gathered in one place. "I know this may seem like an odd questions but, I don't suppose any of you know of a woman named Liliana? She might have come through town anytime in the past few years? Definitely not a lifelong resident of the town though." and he looks around to see if anyone seems to recognize the name. Not really expecting someone too but there is a faint glimmer of hope in his eyes.
OOC: Ya, so, Fjordix isn't going to be happy that he lost when he wakes up.
How far is it from the Keep walls (or wherever we are watching from) to Fjordix? Trying to determine if a fight would be within 60 feet of Arliden
