Both the harpoon that Whistler is on and the ballista have range 120/480 feet, +6 to hit, and 3d10 damage. It takes 3 actions to arm, aim and fire, but the current state is armed and aimed. So go head and make your attack rolls, and specify your target!
If Lyngheid and Nyx can hear the ruckus she will try and sneak closer so she can assist with spells and prayers from hiding.

Baeshra-eagle is attacking the fire giants at the foot of the stairs on the valley floor, 500 feet below. You don't hear anything from them.
Droop's initiative: 12
At Umbriel's shout of warning, the crew looks up, those outside the ship rush to load back up. Deselphine orders two of the crew to the ballista and harpoon gun, and they use their actions to reload.
Droop lifts his head up off the floor, but still suffering 4 levels of exhaustion, only crawls over to the gunnel and tries to cover up.
The frost giants dash forward as the harpoon, ballista, and Eldritch blasts plow into the snow around them. They are now 90 feet away, the ballista and harpoon are loaded, but need to be aimed, taking an action.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Umbriel, trying to conserve resources for rescuing Nyx and Lyngheid, sticks with cantrips for the moment. Taking a look around, he tries to identify a rocky or snow covered mass above the giants he could possibly dislodge with Eldritch Blasts in order to cause an avalanche.
Perception: 14
If he finds something suitable, he sends the following Eldritch Blasts there, if not, he'll lob them at the closest giant.
Baeshra takes a couple solid hits, dropping him out of eagle form, thankfully he is (I think) high enough to recover, shift back into eagle form, and dash up and away as fast as he can.
Bonus action wildshape Action Dash + movement, 160 feet straight up and then start circling wide back to the ship so as not to lead the giants to where he'd left it.

Nice damage! Yes, you are easily able to wildshape back to eagle in mid-air.
Whistler, Ireniana, waiting on your next round turns.
The hits start landing as the frost giants close in!
One of them rushes up and tries to smash Whistler: 21, 10.
The other rushes over to the other end of the airship and tries to hit Ireniana: 11, 29
And the wolf leaps over the gunnel making a bite attack at Umbriel: 7
Ouch.
Umbriel takes 12 piercing damage and must make a DC14 Strength Save or be knocked prone.
Ireniana takes one hit and dodges the second, but takes 32 slashing damage.
Poor Whistler takes both hits, for 25 and 23 slashing damage.
Droop continues to huddle on the ground, exhausted, but Deselphine sets her mouth with a grim look, raises her hands and growls something in Draconic: 11
The Frost Giant attacking Whistler suddenly winces in pain, 12
but seems to shrug off most of the damage.
Summary: - Whistler takes 29 and 16 slashing damage. - Ireniana takes 21 slashing damage. - Umbriel takes 19 piercing damage and must a DC14 Strength Save or be knocked prone.

Baeshra flies off away from the mountains, looking for a place out of the giants' range to re arm, and hopefully draw them away from the mountainside.
It's easy to get out of range, and there are plenty of rocks around. The giants seem to be staying put at the foot of the stairs though.
Baeshra, seeing that the giants won't leave their post, drops a few more rocks on the ones working before circling wide back to the ship.
How close do you get? Make your Dexterity checks.
