"I don't have an issue with other houses," Ambre says, "err... well, I have an issue with the people of my House who are currently not seeing eye to eye, but other houses are fine."
"Baron Merrix,"Ambre says, like it's the most obvious thing in the world. "My parents and grandparents have been assisting him since he came to power."
Marcus nods his head. Not that he really knew who that was beyond the name or what that meant. But he would at least pretend that he did for now. Well sounds like you got a nice little family feud going on you Canniths As conversation dwindled he would eventually make his way to bed so he could be awake for his watch.
The Warforged listens from afar, preferably under the cover of a few trees or a bush. He lies crouched in still form, not nearly as strained as a non-construct would normally experience. He finds it difficult to relate to any of his companion's stories, but each brings intrigue that he wishes to learn more of in due time, when they do not have a task at hand to accomplish, or in the midst of unfamiliarity such as now. Eventually, even the Warforged begins to drift into a period of empty thought and movement, forgetting his self-imposed duty to be the eyes of his sleeping companions, yet there is a force that reckons him to be adrift in the void...
[DM Eyes Only(?)]
Mechanically, Fletcher will be taking a long rest. I'm guessing that as long as he is nestled under a tree, the stealth check I rolled earlier will continue? Although, I find it hard for even him to keep his position for long. I guess his proficiency and dexterity bonus as a total of 15 for a "passive" stealth could work? I'll leave it to you, because I'm not necessarily sure on how to follow through with that.
Ambre doesn't respond to Marcus's comment, unrolling her bedroll and laying it out, MAC sitting at attention next to her as she get ready for her watch.
(while the DM is away id imagine we could pass some time waiting for first light playing a minigame. Those who dont want to play can stay asleep or just watch/do their own thing).
Waking up a bit earlier Beowulf will sit at the fire and take out some dice from his bag.
He looks up to whoever sits at the fire. Has anyone heard about the game 12 horses? I have a gold coin for a potential winner.
He leans in towards the fire. Its a game of skill and patience. And perhaps a bit of luck too.
Rules (which Beowulf will explain to anyone that would not know of it):
12 horses (like blackjack) A player rolls 2d6 to get a starting roll. The goal is to roll a total of 12 on your turn (or get as close as possible). If you roll lower you can choose to 'hit' rolling an additional 1d6 for each hit. If you exceed the total of 12 you bust and get no points. If you stop before you reach 12 you get whatever you end with in points. If the player gets 12 (in first roll or using additional 'hit' rolls) he gets 12 points + 6 for rolling perfect score. First player to 50 points wins.
To play people can post and do the rolls using Beowulfs dice to take their turn. You can do all the hits you want in your own post (no need to wait for others). You end with your first turn with either a bust or whatever points you end with. Then the next player and so on till everyone who wants to play has taken their turn (and so everyone knows eachothers totals after each round). I will keep track of the totals after each round.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(SInce the others have been online ill assume they are not playing)
Current standing:
Ambre: 11 pts Marcus: 11 pts Beowulf: 9 pts
A tie, not bad. Should get more interesting now. he says.
Beowulf picks up the dice and takes a quick glance up at the swamp around them to make sure they are still alone.
He then continues to start the new round taking his turn to roll:
Initial roll: 7
Beowulf grins and says Why not and rolls it again trying his luck.
First hit: 4
Hmm 10.. good enough.Beowulf seems care free while rolling, not bothered if he is behind but simply interested to see how Ambre and Marcus react to the game. Trying to judge how they handle pressure and if they are sore losers.
Crudely awoken, Fletcher replies as he seeks to unsheathe his longbow until it dawns on his mind that is his companion that woke him. He recognizes Walben's appearance, and sets himself down behind the tree he was occupying a good 30 feet distance from his companions.
"I cannot clearly remember my original design. I can see that my current appearance may be separate from some of my kin, but it improves the likelihood I can stay undetected in a brush, if my armor does not already show my position," the Warforged replies with a light tone coming from the same slit around where a chin should be, "My armor and face was designed under an order of law-bringers that are a mix of races, but it mostly had a workforce of Warforged."

Beowulf Stealth 26
Insight 19
Shortly after waking up Beowulf goes to walk around the camp to stretch his legs. He notices a lizardman but acts normal untill he moves behind a tree, out of vision and tries to move unseen. He sneaks back to the others behind the tents while seeing more of them surround the camp.
As the lizardman wait Beowulf will not be to quick to judge, knowing what it is like to appear different. He will try to not see them as hostile right away as they dont seem to be trying to ambush us.
Sneaking near the tents he will alarm the others, just in case. Saying There are lizardman surrounding our camp, but they dont seem hostile. They are watching us. Be alert, perhaps we can speak with them.
(ill try to wrap up the game, might be only 1 more turn after Ambre goes).
"I don't have an issue with other houses," Ambre says, "err... well, I have an issue with the people of my House who are currently not seeing eye to eye, but other houses are fine."

Beowulf will start clearing out a spot on the ground wiping away dirt and twigs near the fire so the dice are clear to see.
He will then roll the dice 5
First hit: 4 (lol good to get all the nat1's out now) (total atm = 3)
2nd hit: 6 (total atm = 7)
3rd hit: 3 (total atm = 9)
He smirks looking up ending at score of 9 saying Ill stop here to give you all a chance.
Marcus will join in on the game a bit before bed, more than willing to risk some gold on it. 9's not bad. I think I can beat it though.
4
First hit: 1
2nd hit: 6
Eleven. Not a bad start. I'll stay with this.
Ambre adds a coin to Beowulfs prize money before taking the dice and rolling.

Marcus looks at the dice and says Probably best not to play too risky just yet. Let's see how the dice go for me though.
First roll. 3
(Okay...dice rolling not working?)
First roll take two? 7
(Okay so first roll didnt show up for me but now does so ignore take two.
Hit: 1
2and hit. 6
Ha! twelve! Well Ambre you're up.
Ambre doesn't react, thinking through the different possibilities of what could occur, "Let's see then..."
First Roll: 8
Hit: 2
"I'll stay at 10."

Marcus takes the lead, well its not over yet. he says
He will pick up the dice again to start a new round.
Initial roll: 4
1st hit: 3
2nd hit: 5
Ha, 12 he says. Lets see if you can keep your lead Marcus.
Walben will approach Fletcher while this is going on.
”We haven’t had much chance to talk. I’m Walben, not sure if you remember.”
Walben looks over Fletcher’s bizarre appearance.
”You don’t look like I imagined your type would.”

( I can see )
I lll let you have the game. I ll move forward for now.
Last watch:
Beowulf is awake and ready to get the others moving when something catches his eye.
A massive lizard like humanoid is looking at the camp. It is obvious that it has been there for a while, watching.
Beowulf Stealth DC 12
You move to the others and the lizardman doesn't notice.
A few more of the lizards surround the camp but haven't moved yet. They seem to be wating for something.
Insight DC 14
They are watching over you.
Fletcher

(I'll just continue the game under a spoiler while waiting to be woken up by Beo)
Well we shall see if lady luck still favors me.
Initial 9
Snake eyes huh? I hate the way it seems like they are watching us. And it doesnt bode well.
Hit: 4
Hit 2: 3
Hit 3 5
I'm almost tempted to roll for a 1 based on those first three rolls but eleven will have to do. All you Ambre.

No problem.
For the group:
As you start waking up, each taken out of their slumber by Beowulf's warning, you try not to spook the lizardmen.
( Anyone who wants to make sudden moves or actually wants to get up needs to make a Stealth roll DC 12 )
