Like Lener explained there is a small trail leading toward the southeast and following the coast line.
Outside the village the beach quickly turns into a rocky sea side. The village seems to be the only place where boats can approach in the region.
You have to make several adjustments to navigate the dangerous terrain and as you continue onward you can see the large swamp growing as you get closer and closer.
A small mist covers the waterline and gives the swamp a eerie look.
(don't hesitate to make flashbacks if we missed something. I don't want to rush you.)
"I thank you for your aid and time, Lener Jost,"Fletcher says as he nods respectfully as he hopes it to be, returning to the ship to follow his way downstairs toward the armory. Of which he will borrow a set of Cartographer's Tools, logging it with his name and number "tag" per se, making it clear he wishes to borrow it only for a few days before returning it when his time is not limited to the overall groups' detriment. If the set of tools are available, Fletcher will use it as he is well-proficient with its use.
He uses a piece of parchment to map the local area, aswell as the route(s) that Tren has been said to use. He relies on his knowledge of arcana to detail various aspects of the terrain, as his prior knowledge of history has drawn him to a blank at times. A faint sense of guidance coming from an elven voice's whisper in his thoughts that remind his skill and devoted talent. With this knowledge in mind, once complete, Fletcher assembles with his party and asks of them to embark on their next journey in finding Tren's whereabouts.
Fast-forward to the swamp, Fletcher intends to lead his companions via the use of his map, rolling it up and stowing it into a leather-map case. He trudges along with his allies, slightly uncomforted by the swamp's terrain, though his former training as a navigator/cartographer is put to use in the situation presented. His scale-armour integrated with his Warforged frame standing out with its pale silver metal scales interlocked. What's more of his plants and the Acacia wood at his joints and waste bringing some unnecessary attention to his attempted silent approach.
Arcana + Cartographer's tools: roll value - 18 ((I don't think Arcana works in this situation, so remove 2 from the final value if so))
((Edit: I mixed up the Navigator's Tools and Cartograher's Tools when I made the character, nice. Also, I'll wait on the survival check to see if the map Fletcher assembled proves it to be easier to find Tren's trail))
Fletcher uses the maps he has drawn with the help of Lener and a few others to navigate through the da'gerous terrain. He leads the group past the rocky beach and arrives near the swamp unhurt and having made good time.
Once you enter the area it his harder to move forward and several times you need to retrace your steps.
Still the night is fast closing in on you all and you have to decide if you want to continue in during the night or if you want to camp here and procodeed tomorrow.
Fletcher melds into the wild life keeping an eye out for danger and the party.
For most of you this new experience isn't easy. Humidity and the constant creatures biting you tend to make you nervous.
Ambre slips her goggles over her eyes to ensure she can still see, and looks around, "Am I the only one concerned that the ship might leave without us?"
Thom looks more into the wild than at Amber and gives his opinion, "I would think not, The Captain seems like an honorable man, and besides he has said he needs us." To any who are looking would see that Thom is nervous.
"I'll take one as well," Ambre says, "MAC will keep watch throughout the night as well. Hmm..." she looks down to her steel defender, "I'll need to get your voice signatures so he follows any commands throughout the night... of course any of your commands would be overridden by mine... maybe I'll just set him to patrol the area we decide to make camp at..."

Fletcher
Blending into the array of colours the swamp provides, the Warforged most likely is not to be seen without looking for them specifically, although the occasional faint yellow spark that can be caught at the edge of someone's peripheral vision can be noticed, if quick enough to react. With this advantage in mind, Fletcher guides the group into a suitable path with marks on the ground made via intentional foot-steps hopefully without losing the benefit of his hidden position. He plans to stay within ear-shot of the group, perhaps 30 feet but hidden. He acknowledges his companions' lack of experience of traversing uncommon terrain, only common to him due to his past directive and primary focus of his skill, but cannot directly reply as he is not "tasked" to do so.
This does leads to them going at a slower pace to check Fletcher's guided path, but they eventually find an area he thinks to be suitable for his companions to stay. He marks a rough X with his feet, and then retreat back to a preferable area still within 30 feet of reach that he may use to hunker down and carefully analyze any entities going into his perceptual eyes to still notice, the Longbow in his arms without a nocked arrow incase he might misfire, although he is perhaps nimble enough to have an arrow drawn before it could be too late.
As the group settles in for the night they have for the first time around a fire camp together. Imagined dangers surround them and every cracks and wild life noises is amplified.
( Don't hesitate to RP a bit of what your character wants to reveal about himself or his trepidations about what's to come.)
The night goes by pretty calmly but the one on third watch and the one in the morning have the distinct feeling that they are being watched. A light chill despite the hot moist atmosphere and the forms in the corner of the eyes startle you during your watch.
( Whoever wants to be on those watch go ahead. Since Fletcher doesn't sleep he can make the rolls also. Same goes for Ambre as her "pet" comes to wake her up. )
DC 14 Perception Read spoil. This happen on third watch.
Sibilant whispers pull at your ears toward the dark. For a second you see slited golden eyes look toward the camp.
((Fletcher is going to take a longrest, tanking any negative impact if he has to to keep watch on his party from afar, unless if not needed, although, will my perception check still work since he's fully aware of his surroundings while "sleeping"?))
The half elf in his simple clothing settles in next to the fire. “I’ve never been so far from home. Certainly never lived like this, sleeping in a different place all the time. Have any of you ever lived like this?”

Marcus will take the 3rd shift but prior to resting he sits around the fire with the others until sleep claims him.
In the meantime he would converse with his new found allies. Roughing it as it were takes some getting used to. Always wondering where you're going to lay your head down next, or if it's even safe to do so. I admit growing up in house Tharask leaves one a bit spoiled but...well when it comes time to get ones hands dirty they tolerate no hesitation as it were. Where are you lot from anyway? Doesn't feel like we've had much chance to get to know each other with everything going on.
(Perception for whatever Marcus takes his watch 10)

Beowulf will take any watch except the first or last (since he has darkvision). Perception 7
Responding to Walben Ive lived like this for a while. After i was.. after i had to leave my home i lived in the wilds for some time. As Marcus said living in the wild takes some getting used to. I was raised on the edge of a town called Windshire in Aundair near the border with the Eldeen reaches.
He looks into the fire for moment.
I find the wild more peacefull than the towns. Specially for those that are different. In the wild it is the difference in that upholds the balance.
Beowulf looks up again. But it is good to be in company every once in a while. Hopefully you will find what you seek while working for the Crimson Blade.
When on his watch Beowulf will move away from the fire into the darkness and circle around the camp a few times waiting in different spots each time looking out into the darkness. Trying to listen for any dangers nearby.
Sharn....pretty city I'll give it that. But nothing will ever be quite like the stink of Zarash'ak. It may be a hell hole but its home. So, Ambre, one marked to another. Marcus smiles at the thought until his eyes fall upon Ambres dragonmark and turns to a frown. Tightening his ascot around his neck Marcus says I must admit Ambre, I had been nervous about working with a rival family. So far I'm glad things have gone so smoothly. It's interesting to watch you work anyways.

Marcus nods and looks to the others. Any other questions? If not I'd say we best get started. The longer we wait the more trouble he could be in.
It is around midday has you make your decison.

Perhaps it is best to make camp. Beowulf says. Many things will be hunting at night in the swamp and some cannot see in the dark.
I will take a watch in the night.
Beowulf will walk around the spot where they can make camp. Looking further into the swamp to get an idea of their surroundings.
